This tour to Ben Tre takes in the capital of the same-named province in the Mekong Delta. This destination is made up of three main islands wedged between three rivers that are effectively offshoots of the Mekong River as it splits before spilling out into the South China Sea. A traditional laid-back Mekong life is the norm in this sleepy town. Wandering the lively market, sipping good a coconut. This provides visitors with an alternative experience to the tourist hustle and bustle of nearby My Tho and a good insight into an authentic Vietnamese town. We will set off on an exploration to see how bricks and grass mats are made through age-old traditional techniques and taste exotic fruits and delicious local cuisine sourced from this exceptionally fertile landscape.
