Renaissance Riverside Hotel Saigon

Disappointing Noise Management at Renaissance Riverside Hotel Saigon I am currently staying at Renaissance Riverside Hotel Saigon, where the room rate is approximately VND 6 million per night. At this price point, I believe guests should reasonably expect a comfortable and peaceful stay. The hotel is currently undergoing renovation, and the Club Lounge has been temporarily relocated to Level 1. To be fair, I think the hotel team has managed the renovation-related disruptions very well so far. I would especially like to recognise Cass/ Chau and the entire Club Lounge team for their outstanding service. Despite the temporary arrangements, they have remained attentive, professional and welcoming, making every effort to ensure guests are well taken care of. Their dedication deserves genuine recognition. However, what genuinely puzzles and disappoints me is the hotel's decision to continue hosting large events at the Level 5 atrium, which is directly connected to the guest room corridors. As shown in the attached photo and video, loud music and performances take place in an open atrium, allowing noise to travel directly into guest rooms. The disturbance is almost unbearable. Almost up till 10pm. What surprises me even more is that the hotel's solution is simply to place a towel along the bottom of the room door to reduce the noise. Is this really an acceptable solution for a Marriott property, especially when guests are paying VND 6 million per night? I fully understand that hosting events generates revenue for the hotel. However, should event revenue come at the expense of the comfort of paying hotel guests? There is a significant difference between unavoidable renovation noise and deliberately allowing loud events to take place in an open atrium surrounded by guest rooms. The former is understandable, particularly when the staff are doing their best to minimise disruption. The latter is a management decision that should have been better considered. At VND 6 million per night, I am not expecting absolute silence, but I certainly do not expect loud event music entering my room while being offered a towel as the solution. As part of the Marriott group, I would have expected better judgement and greater consideration for the guest experience. My disappointment is not with the hotel staff, particularly Cass/ Chau and the Club Lounge team, who have been exceptional (5 stars all day). Rather, it is with the management's decision to allow such events without adequate consideration for in-house guests. I sincerely hope the management will review this arrangement. A premium hotel experience should not require guests to compromise their comfort simply because the hotel is hosting an event.

Really wonderful 4 nights at the Renaissance in the heart of HCMC! I was traveling for work, and had never stayed in HCMC before. I was lucky that this hotel is right in the middle of all of the main attractions, night life, and generally centrally located within walking distance to much of what you want to see. The rooms are clean, well maintained and have everything you’d want, but a little bit dated. The front desk staff were super kind and helpful. The rooftop bar was a highlight! It offered the best views of the city, and had really well crafted / interesting drinks. Well and beyond your standard bar menu. As a gold member, I got 2 complimentary cocktails for the bar via a voucher at check in. There is a pool up here as well, but I didn’t swim this time. The restaurant on the 1st floor is stellar for their buffet and the breakfast each morning was among the better I had in my travels throughout southeast Asia. The buffet has sushi and nigiri among other things, which stood out to me as their salmon was very high quality. The Chinese restaurant on the higher floor was good as well, and a nice break from Vietnamese. One last point - Mai’s Boutique in the lobby can make you handmade custom clothing for women and men! I got a really high quality collared button up made from a blue / indigo floral print and it fit me perfectly. The cost was about $60-70 USD and worth every penny. It was ready in about 2 days. I would order more clothes here again. If you’re a Marriott Bonvoy member looking for central accommodations, large rooms, amazing views, and kind staff, I highly recommend.

We spend 3 nights to celebrate my wife birthday who is Marriot Bonvoy member. Our experiences in this Hotel are out of this world awesome. The best experiences we have from club lounge special thanks to Chau who makes excellent cocktails, to our breakfast service staff Bao, Phat who serves with a smile. Special thanks to Bao who help get me a candle for my wife birthday cake. Special thanks to the team who makes special decorations in our room and a lovely cake for my wife birthday. We are coming back again next year. Keep up the good works Renaissance Riverside 😀

We had a very enjoyable stay at the Renaissance Riverside Saigon. The location is excellent, making it easy to explore the city, and the service throughout my stay was impeccable. Our room had a beautiful view, which made the experience even more memorable. The breakfast buffet offered a wide variety of options, with something for every taste. I also really appreciated the Executive Lounge on the 18th floor, it was a lovely touch and a great place to relax after a day of sightseeing. One highlight was dining at the hotel’s Cantonese restaurant. Their dim sum is a must-try if you’re staying here, fresh, delicious, and well worth a visit. The only minor downside is that some of the interior feels a bit dated. However, this did not take away from what was otherwise a fantastic stay.
