My family has always stayed here when visiting as it allows us to have a large shared apartment style booking with all the benefits of a usual hotel.
Gym is nice and pool is good.
Washing machines and dryers in room are awesome as well.
The breakfast is great but I suggest to get in early as they tend to restock a bit slower towards the last times as most hotels do.
Everything together, it’s an amazing place my family has been staying at for 8 years when they come to visit and always been an extremely pleasant and satisfying experience.
This hotel’s service has gone downhill in a matter of months and it is sorely disappointing to see. One of the younger members of our family left their stuffed toy on the bed, and after room cleaning was done could not find their toy. We contacted the hotel about it, but they did not seem to be putting effort to communicate/update us and we had to call and practically beg for them to please keep looking.l and eventually gave up because of how dismissive the staff seemed regarding the situation. Furthermore, a shirt had a similar fate, and again the staff seemed to not take it seriously. It also is disappointing to see that the staff expected tips when bringing our bags up after a particularly long day, and it made me not want to tip because of the expectation.
The room itself had a few downgrades from the last times we stayed a few months ago. The towels and bed linens often had holes in them, to the point it was how many towels had holes, not if the towels would have holes. Another issue with hot water arose, but when we asked the staff to let us move rooms, they refused to, and told us to turn the water on for 10+ minutes before showering. And even then, it did not always work. We were being rushed to check out, but we had to wait almost half an hour to do so, and we were stuck in the room when we had a flight to catch.
Because of these incidences happening in the span of days, I strongly encourage considering other hotels in the area. My family and I am not going to be coming back here because of how we were treated by staff, knowing they aren’t truly putting genuine effort into their work.
We were extremely impressed with the two-bedroom, two-bathroom suite at Oakwood Residence Saigon. The suite was spacious, modern, and very well maintained. We especially appreciated the full kitchen, which was generously sized and fully equipped, as well as the in-unit washer and dryer, perfect for a longer stay.
The living room provided a comfortable space to relax after a full day exploring the city. Both bedrooms were cozy and inviting, the beds were very comfortable, and the bathrooms were excellent, featuring full showers and full-sized bathtubs.
The property is located in District 7, which is a great option for travelers who prefer a quieter and more relaxed atmosphere away from the hustle and bustle of District 1. Depending on traffic, District 1 is about a 30-minute drive away.
Overall, we had a wonderful stay and would definitely choose Oakwood Residence Saigon again. If you don't mind traveling between districts, this is an outstanding place to stay in Ho Chi Minh City.
We stay for 5 nights on 3 br apartment, everything is great, smooth check in clean room, washing machine, and the facility is great, have a good gym and big pool, overall we enjoy our stay, the location on district 7, which is a bit far from tourist location, but not a big problem, you can use grab on affordable price
I stayed at this hotel for 7 nights and 8 days. However, I was very disappointed with several aspects of the service and environment.
First, the housekeeping was subpar. The shampoo and conditioner in the shower were not refilled even though they were nearly empty after a few days. Furthermore, there were strands of hair stuck to the bottles, which remained uncleaned throughout my stay. On two occasions, the coffee was not restocked, forcing me to go through the inconvenience of calling the front desk to request it.
The business services were also unsatisfactory. The hotel did not offer a service to receive and deliver faxes to guests. Additionally, I was charged 5,000 VND per page for printing, which I found to be an excessively high price.
Lastly, the atmosphere in the lobby was inappropriate. There were women from the massage parlor dressed provocatively sitting on the lobby sofas, making it very uncomfortable to use the common area. For these reasons, I would not recommend this hotel for business trips or for couples.
