Dated and Tired Aparthotel While this apart-hotel looks great on photos and booking websites, it is a different story on the ground. Strip away the Oakwood brand name and some expectations — especially those shaped by other properties in the global Oakwood portfolio — and this is a modest, aging building with a thin set of facilities and a location that demands constant effort to navigate. The saving grace is the lovely staff and their sweet hospitality LOCATION:Binh Thanh is not District 1, and that gap matters more than it sounds. The hotel sits on Ung Van Khiem, close to Vinhomes Central Park and a 10-minute walk from Landmark 81, which makes for a photogenic neighbourhood. But the city's historic core — Ben Thanh Market, Dong Khoi, Bui Vien — is a solid 15–20 minutes away from Grab on a good day. The hotel offers a shuttle into the city centre twice a day at 9am and 4pm, which feels like a bandage on a structural problem rather than a genuine solution. DINE + DRINK: Didnt try their breakfast, so cannot comment. But their Rooftop bar is THE HIGHLIGHT of the property and comes loaded with stellar views of the river and the cityscape. A great place for a surreal sundowner! ROOM: We stayed in Room 810, which was a ONE BEDROOM APARTMENT, so this review is based on that; SIZE: Spacious enough for 2 adults and simple baggage; VIEW: Decent view of the river and the boats from the Bedroom windows ; AIR-CON: Perfectly functioning cooler that helped in setting the perfect room temperature; BED: Comfortable bed that played the expected part of putting us to sleep; BATHROOM:Good sized bathroom with a Stand-in shower; TOILETRIES: Good spa quality toiletries by HYDRO brand FACILITIES: Decent Gym with a good range of weights, workout stations, and Cardio machines. SERVICE: Friendly staff that cared for all our needs with a smile and made us feel at home and well taken care of. Special Shout-out to Mr.Sun for enhancing our stay experience as much as he could HOW WIRED YOU WILL BE: Free Wi-Fi that works well all over the property, and the speed is good! Big Smart TV dishing out a wide variety of channels spanning sports, news, music, movies, and entertainment in multiple languages

We had a truly enjoyable stay at Oakwood Hotel & Apartments Saigon. The team made my wife’s birthday especially memorable by arranging a lovely birthday cake, which was such a thoughtful surprise. Everyone at the front desk was welcoming, attentive, and always ready to help. Our room was spacious, spotless, and very comfortable, with a beautiful view of Landmark 81 and the Ho Chi Minh City skyline. We also ordered Grab food regularly, and the staff kindly assisted with delivering our orders to the room each time. Their service and hospitality made us feel incredibly well taken care of. We would gladly stay here again and highly recommend Oakwood to anyone visiting Ho Chi Minh City.

Thank you once again for your care and support. I wanted to say that all the staff were great but the Reception team were OUTSTANDING. VERY professional and nothing was too much trouble for them I had a difficult final day due to external events but the team intuitively supported me and lifted my mood. This attitude goes beyond training. It demonstrates a level of competence and pride which the company should be proud of All these people are the real stars of the show and made the experience memorable. 1) Room: The room is spacious, clean, and very comfortable, with excellent soundproofing that ensures a peaceful stay. The kitchen is well-equipped with all essential utensils, plates, and cutlery, making longer stays very convenient. Throughout the stay, amenities were replenished thoroughly and consistently. Room 501 offers a beautiful view of the Saigon River and faces the sunrise, making mornings especially memorable. 2) Staff: The staff are friendly, attentive, and always ready to assist promptly with any requests. Their warm hospitality and professionalism greatly enhanced the overall experience. Special thanks to Nhat (Sun) and the front office team for their outstanding service and thoughtful care throughout the stay. 3) Location: The hotel is conveniently located near Landmark 81, making it easy to get around and explore the city. The surrounding area is quiet, especially at night, yet offers a good variety of restaurants and convenience stores within walking distance during daytime, adding to the overall convenience. We would definitely stay here again and recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Ho Chi Minh City.
