I have stayed at Muong Thanh Luxury Saigon Hotel several times before, and overall, I have always had a pleasant experience. Unfortunately, my most recent stay ended with an incident during check-out that left me feeling very disappointed. When I was checking out, I was asked whether I had consumed a can of Red Bull from the minibar. I answered honestly that I had not. During my stay, I only drank the free bottles of mineral water provided by the hotel. I did not consume any minibar items. The staff told me they could not find the Red Bull can and showed me a short video that they claimed proved it had been placed in the minibar before my arrival. However, the video contained no date, time, or any information showing when it was recorded. From my perspective, it was impossible to verify that it was taken on the day of my check-in or that it reflected the condition of the room when I arrived. Since I checked in around 5:30 p.m., several hours after the official check-in time, I also cannot know what happened in the room before I entered it. Although the hotel did not ultimately charge me for the missing item, I felt very uncomfortable with the way the situation was handled. Even after I clearly stated that I had not consumed the drink twice and confirmed that there was no Redbull can in the minibar from the very beggining, it was upsetting to feel like I had to defend myself over a single can of Red Bull that I genuinely did not take. I understand that hotels need to investigate missing minibar items, and I appreciate that mistakes can happen. However, I believe these situations should be handled more carefully and respectfully. Guests should not be made to feel accused without clear and verifiable evidence. Despite this unpleasant experience, I still enjoyed my stay overall. For future guests, I would even recommend taking a quick video of the room upon arrival, just to avoid any misunderstandings at checkout although I believe this should not be necessary.

Agoda.com booked me twice. When I checked in on 11th July 2026 till 14th July 2026, the Front Desk didn't even bother to inform about the second booking as a result I was charged twice. This could have been informed by them, but they decided to cancel it and also charge me. The Best part is the Hotel responds to my previous post stating it is more than 20 days since my visit. I guess they need to get their maths right. Perhaps, they are used to this and in cohort with Agoda to fleece customers. Beware of this Hotel and Agoda.

I wouldn't come back here again. Those the price is affordable but the name "luxury" is really misleading. The attention to details is NOT there, it's barely a motel standard with cheap bed sheet will disappointed a 4 stars hotel level. If you expect great service and a real 4 stars level, better of trying those international name. Vietnam is affordable and WIFI always free so don't afraid to try international brands

Staff are friendly, and location is reasonable to access. However, senior management need to be more proactive in their standards if they want to preserve their success as a hotel chain. Front entrance smells of sewage. Carpets in room unclean. Inconsistent room service. Beds too firm. Rooms need refurbishment. Did not use sandles in room as seem unclean. Restaurant food variable from substandard to mediocre (steak well seasoned but overcooked, rice overcooked, cooked vegetables under-seasoned and cold, chicken stirfry dish inedible). Drinks however are refreshing and much better quality. At check out, staff incorrectly thought items in room were taken and attempted to charge accordingly (? Mistaken room). Overall, disappointing stay. Recommend stay at different hotel , and different hotel chain.
