I want to share my experience about the services of this hotel. This morning Friday Oct 08 the lobby female staff was very unprofessional, insulting my knowledge of how to use the shower. In the morning the shower did not have hot water, and I ended up having a bath with cold water. I turned on the hot water and waited several minutes, but it did not hot at all. Later on, I asked the lobby female staff that the room did not have hot water, and I like to change the room. She starred at me and said twice very unpolite that did I know how to turn on the hot water in the manner that I am an old farmer first time staying in the her hotel and don't know how to use the shower. I hope that the hotel management should have more training to the frond desk staffs of how to treat guests when answering the questions with more polite and professional ways.

Please save your money and stay else where!! Upon arrival there was mould all over the bathroom, the shower curtain especially is covered and it's disgusting. The sink plug became stuck after washing my hands, there is a piece of tape covering the peep hole through the door and there is stains all through the carpet. To top it off the hotel is running swimming classes for non guests. Children and adults are having lessons all through the day, making it impossible to enjoy the pool as there is barely any space surrounding the pool as is. Even when asked when the pool would be available, the staff could not give an answer and told us that is for both guests and the public, never have I been to a hotel that has had this policy. I have loved the rest of Vietnam and never ran into these issues, and unfortunately this has dampened the end of what has been an amazing holiday. Staff were unaccomdating with these concerns, and as a result my travel companions have changed hotel due to being unable to enjoy their last days relaxing by the pool. They were also refused any type of refund, and as such I was not able to afford to stay at another hotel. The hotel does not advertise these swimming lessons that go ahead daily, all through the day and last I checked, one was still running at 7:15pm, (the pool closes at 8pm) please be aware before booking, even better look else where. I generally hate writing reviews as these but feel it is nessesary for those paying good money to be aware.
Arrived and there was someone else in the room. They couldn’t find an alternative room and had to go to a different hotel. Very disorganised. Response to comment: No real effort made to resolve the situation. Could have spent the whole night in the lobby without any guidance or support. Incurred additional costs to stay elsewhere. A complimentary room at a different date when I am no longer in the country is not helpful.
The Moung Thanh hotel location is a bit outskirt from Ben Thanh Market. However, if you want a quiet place then it may meet your expectation. The hotel room is cleaned, tidy and spacious. The morning breakfast is also good and food quality is also acceptable. The only setback is dim light is too bright and can't be turn off. It's definitely affected sleeping at night. Suggest to hotel management to look into it. Overall stay is good.
Very disappointing stay overall. The problems started immediately at check-in. I was simply handed a key card and pointed towards the lifts without the room number being properly explained. I went to room 823 because that was what appeared to be written on the room card holder, only to find the key didn’t work. After returning downstairs, I was then told I was actually in room 923. The interaction afterwards made me feel as though the mistake was mine, despite the unclear information provided at check-in. Unfortunately, the room itself was far below expectations for what was sold as a “Deluxe Superior Room with City Views.” The so-called city view was underwhelming at best, overlooking tired surrounding buildings and rooftops rather than anything that felt premium or worth paying extra for. The room may appear acceptable in photos online, but in reality it was poorly maintained and not properly cleaned. The carpets were visibly filthy, particularly around edges and walkways, there was dust and grime around tiled areas and fittings, wallpaper was peeling throughout the room, furniture joins were separating, and several surfaces and furnishings were stained or worn. The bed was extremely uncomfortable with a very thin mattress, making it difficult to sleep properly. Even the air-conditioning unit appeared dusty and poorly maintained. Breakfast was average at best and did little to improve the experience. Considering this room cost around 1.8 million VND per night, the overall standard, cleanliness, maintenance, and presentation were extremely disappointing and nowhere near the quality advertised online. Overall, this felt much closer to a tired 2-star experience than a deluxe room!
