*update- I was able to get half refund through my credit card company. Sadly the property or the booking agency Agoda would not help and did not respond to me. However, people at the front desk were nice and the man that helped me out to my car was kind. I was only there for about an hour and then I had to check out Sadly, the bed felt old and caved in so soft it hurt my back and the air conditioning was weak. The pool area did look nice and the location is good.

Overall, we enjoyed our stay at Riverside Resort Ben Tre because of its beautiful riverside location and the genuinely friendly staff. That said, I simply cannot understand how this property considers itself a 4-star resort. When I think of a 4-star hotel, I expect upscale accommodations, premium bedding, luxury mattresses, excellent sound insulation, polished facilities, and attention to detail. In my opinion, this property is, at best, a 2-star resort. I also understand that this isn't meant to be a "destination" resort with endless activities. It's designed to be a place where guests can unwind and enjoy a quiet, relaxing atmosphere. Unfortunately, I found it particularly difficult to relax in peace. The bedroom doors are extremely thin, so noise from the hallway and neighboring rooms carries easily. We were also surprised to be placed next to a very young, loud family despite the resort having four floors of guest rooms. It seemed like there may have been an opportunity to spread guests out a bit more for everyone's comfort. One design choice that really puzzled us was the large glass wall separating the bathroom from the bedroom. There is a retractable privacy blind, but it seemed like an unnecessary feature that didn't really add to the room and felt out of place. The restaurant was another disappointment. Several menu items, including frog and shrimp dishes, weren't available, but we weren't told until after ordering. It would have been much better to let us know before we made our selections. Breakfast is advertised from 6:00–9:00 a.m., but when we arrived just before 7:00, staff were still bringing out many of the buffet items. There also wasn't anyone stationed at the omelette station at that time. To their credit, once we asked, a staff member was happy to prepare eggs for us. Still, if breakfast begins at 6:00, everything should be fully prepared and operating before guests arrive. The pool was decent at best, and while the property was moderately clean, neither reflected what I would expect from a 4-star resort. Another surprise was being charged 25,000 VND for a bucket of ice. The cost is minimal, but complimentary ice is something I've come to expect from hotels in this category. The staff were kind and welcoming throughout our stay, and the riverside setting is the resort's biggest strength. However, the accommodations and overall experience fell well short of what was advertised. I hope management takes these comments as constructive feedback because this property has potential, but in its current condition I don't believe it comes close to meeting a 4-star standard.
We stayed here for three nights as a family of five, split between two rooms. The rooms were adequately sized and offered a comfortable, decent standard. The location was very good. The hotel sits slightly outside the city center, which means you avoid the heaviest traffic. However, you should expect to use Grab or rent a scooter if you plan to go into town. Being situated by the river also provides a pleasant and refreshing breeze. The pool area and the hotel café were nicely positioned, and the coffee was excellent. The staff were friendly and service‑minded throughout our stay. Breakfast was included for us, but we unfortunately didn’t have the chance to try it. The gym was acceptable and had the basics needed for a simple workout. Overall, a very solid hotel and good value for the price.
Ben Tre Riverside Resort is a peaceful and well-maintained resort by the river, perfect for a relaxing getaway. The riverside setting is beautiful and calm, especially in the early morning and at sunset. Rooms are clean, spacious, and comfortable, with a nice balance between modern amenities and a natural, tropical vibe. The staff are friendly, attentive, and always willing to help, which really adds to the overall experience. The swimming pool and garden area are great places to unwind, and the food is tasty with a good mix of local and Western options. Overall, it’s an excellent choice if you’re looking to slow down and enjoy the charm of Ben Tre. Highly recommended!
Good quality for the price. Convenient for the location. Near the river so it has nice view and lots of fresh air. There is a coffee shop with big garden and kids playing zone near the river. My kids love that a lot. The room facility is OK, but the noise insulation could be better. Buffer choice is quite limited.
