Took a chance and decided on this hotel. Nice location. Near Japan town and many little cafes and shops all around this area. Room is basic, clean and modern. Nice view of skyscrapers and low rise buildings. Rooftop bar closed for private event but I was able to peep at it and from pool area. Although the main road is below, noise is reduced.

Overall, a great stay! This hotel operates a bit differently than others, but by no means did it impact my stay. Shortly after booking, they will send you a link for payment. You’ll be asked to pay for the entire trip up front by 4pm the day of the start of your reservation, otherwise it will be canceled. I had put down all the people who were staying in the rooms I booked, but the payment link ended up going to the person staying rather than the person who booked (me) so we almost lost our reservation, so keep that in mind. Upon arrival, they’ll also charge a deposit which is returned at the end of the trip. The other room I booked, when checking out, had a room inspection. My room did not. It only took a few minutes so no big deal! They clean the rooms and reset the beds everyday, even if the housekeeping light is off. New towels everyday, but bedsheets and blankets are the same. The fridge is also restocked everyday, and I believe it’s complementary. They had water, some sodas, chips, and instant noodles. The elevator is a bit slow, especially considering how many people stay in this hotel. The rooftop is amazing, we visited during a holiday and we were able to watch the firework show from the rooftop without the crowds! The only complaint I had was with some of the guests themselves. Some were quite rude and overbearing. Had one guy corner us in an elevator and proceed to berate us with questions about where we were from, what we were doing in the country, etc.. then when we got to the rooftop, he followed us out and kept watching us which was really irritating and creepy. Other guests would try to close the elevators as quickly as possible to keep you from entering. Overall, this hotel was great. A central location, with lots of coffee shops and restaurants nearby. Traffic hour can be tough since there is a one way road but nothing crazy. Within walking distance to a lot of things, but tough to walk during monsoon season.
The hotel has a great location, and the rooftop swimming pool is definitely the highlight of the stay. The staff were friendly, and the overall service was very good. However, my room was quite small and had no window, which made it feel a bit suffocating at times. I also found the bathroom layout uncomfortable, as it was located right next to the bed with limited privacy if one person was resting while the other was using the bathroom. Overall, it was a good stay with excellent service and amenities, but the room design could be improved for better comfort.
I had a really pleasant stay at Bay Hotel. The room was comfortable and well-maintained, with carpeted floors, strong air-conditioning, and a nice view. The bed was cozy with plenty of pillows, and the space was spacious enough to relax or even get some work done. The Wi-Fi was strong and reliable, which was a big plus for me. The breakfast buffet had a good variety. I enjoyed the congee and pho, along with staples like croissants, eggs, bacon, salads, coffee, and juice. They also had stir-fried dishes, grilled and fried meats, and as a Filipino, I appreciated that they served rice and stir-fried noodles, which made the meal more satisfying. The location is very convenient—not too far from the main attractions and easy to explore on foot. It made getting around the city simple and hassle-free. I also liked the rooftop bar and pool area. Even though I didn’t get to swim, the space itself is a great place to unwind and enjoy the view of the city. Overall, a comfortable and well-located hotel with good amenities—definitely a solid choice when staying in Ho Chi Minh City.
I had a wonderful stay at the Bay Hotel in Saigon and would highly recommend it to anyone visiting the city. The hotel itself is modern, clean, and very comfortable, with great amenities and a welcoming atmosphere that made it easy to relax after a busy day exploring. What really stood out, though, was the exceptional service. A special shoutout to Kash and Kris at the front desk—they made the check-in process smooth, quick, and genuinely pleasant. Their professionalism, friendliness, and willingness to help with any questions set the tone for a great stay right from the start. Overall, the combination of a well-maintained property and outstanding staff made this a memorable experience. I would definitely stay here again!
