Great hotel and staff. Breakfast buffet provides many options. Rooftop bar doesn’t pour lightly. The pool is a good temp to cool off after a hot day. Close to book street, the post office and the markets. Rooms have amazing AC, we loved turning our room into a walk-in fridge. On the last day, you can leave your bags with reception for an unlimited time to allow for further exploration! Would recommend :)
I previously stayed at Au Lac Charner, which belongs to the same hotel chain as Au Lac Legend. Comparing design, location, and overall vibe, I definitely prefer Charner its rooms are larger and the amenities are much higher quality. The rooms at Au Lac Legend are quite compact. Even in a room with a window, the window itself is tiny. While the space was neat enough, the bedding felt old and had several visible stains (as shown in my photos). BUT IMAGINE THIS: Around 5:00 AM while I was fast asleep, a staff member unlocked and opened my room door using a key card! Because I hadn't used the internal safety latch, they walked right in, apologized briefly, and left. It was absolutely appalling and a major security issue. A few other points: Breakfast: Very limited variety, mostly Asian options, and the seasoning was quite average. Service: Hit or miss depending on the staff member. Some bell staff completely ignored my luggage, while others were genuinely helpful and enthusiastic. Overall: While this chain is rated 4 stars, it honestly cannot compete with international brands like Accor or IHG,… Price: affordable in city center
Exceptional hospitality, amazing breakfast, and a wonderful upgrade! We had an absolutely fantastic stay at Au Lac Legend Hotel! The service here is truly top-tier. We were incredibly delighted to be upgraded to a beautiful suite that perfectly matched our taste and style.The entire staff was super friendly, welcoming, and attentive throughout our visit. A special shout-out goes to Henry and his company for making it easier for my cousin who is on wheelchair to go up and down the entrance stair! Truly thankful. They provided exceptional service, went above and beyond for us, and made our stay incredibly memorable.The breakfast was also excellent, featuring a great variety of delicious options. The servers at breakfast deserve high praise as well—they were very attentive, quick, and always greeted us with friendly smiles.We highly recommend this hotel for anyone looking for outstanding hospitality and comfort. We will definitely stay here again!
Exceptional stay! Everything was perfect from check-in to check-out. The hotel was very clean, comfortable, and well maintained. The rooms were spacious, the beds were comfortable, and the overall atmosphere was relaxing and welcoming. Good breakfast from the morning give us good beginning of the day. A special thank you to the receptionist, Mrs Tue-Nghi Amie, who made our stay even more enjoyable. She was incredibly friendly, professional, and always happy to help with any questions or requests; thank You once again for arrange our trip to Black Virgin Mountain. Her warm attitude, genuine kindness, and exceptional customer service made us feel truly welcome from the moment we arrived. We highly recommend this hotel and will definitely stay here again. A beautifully designed and well-equipped hotel with consistently respectful, helpful, and accommodating staff. The breakfast was fresh and offered a good variety of options. The pool bar also had a good menu, and the afternoon tea was a lovely added touch. We stayed in three deluxe rooms: two featured rain showers, while one had a bathtub. The bathtub was not installed perfectly, and some water leaked through a small gap between the bathtub and the wall. However, this was only a minor issue. Overall, we had a very pleasant stay at Au Lac Legend and would happily recommend it.
