Okinawa Iriomote Half Day Splash Canyoning

We had such a great time canyoning today! Hotaru was an amazing guide. She was friendly, patient, and made us feel comfortable and safe throughout the whole experience. She explained everything clearly and was always there to help when we needed it. The canyoning itself was so much fun, and the beautiful scenery made the experience even more special. We laughed a lot and had an unforgettable day. Thank you so much, Hotaru, for making this adventure such a wonderful memory. I would definitely recommend her to anyone looking for a fun and memorable canyoning experience!

We had a fantastic day exploring Iriomote with PiPi! In the morning, Ami led us on the canyoning tour, and she did an amazing job explaining how the tour would work, what to be careful of, and how to safely make the different jumps into the river. She made sure everyone felt comfortable and safe while keeping the experience fun, full of energy and exciting. Canyoning itself was a lot of fun. Jumping into the river and making our way through the beautiful canyon was definitely one of the highlights of our time on Iriomote. In the afternoon, Kengo guided us through the mangroves by canoe. He explained how to use the canoe and paddles, so even with the low tide we had a very pleasant and relaxing ride through the mangroves. He was attentive throughout and always made sure everyone was safe and having a good time. Something we especially appreciated about both Ami and Kengo was how much they shared about life on Iriomote and its nature. Along the way we saw frogs, geckos, insects and other wildlife, and they pointed out things we probably would have completely missed on our own. Their knowledge and enthusiasm made it feel like we were actually discovering the island rather than just doing two activities. A huge thank you to Ami and Kengo for such a fun and memorable day! We really enjoyed both parts of the tour and would absolutely recommend this experience to anyone visiting Iriomote. Its only been a day since, and I already miss the people, the place, and the whole experience.

We had an amazing time canyoning in Iriomote! The guide was very friendly, professional, and made us feel safe throughout the tour. The scenery was beautiful, and jumping into the clear water was so much fun. The pickup was smooth and well organized. Although the price was a little high, the overall experience was absolutely worth it. I highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Iriomote Island.

I went on this tour with my family and some friends, 6 people total. Our tour guide Jun was really great! He was really nice and knowledgeable about the nature in the area. The course was really fun with multiple jumps into the water. There was also a natural water slide. The atmosphere was so good, and it was just overall a super fun time.

We took three different tours with Pipi, all were completely different (canyoning, mangrove sup and night jungle) but all of these tours were absolutely amazing! First, tours are well organised and groups are small so you spend most of your time doing the selected activity. Second, all activities are absolutely amazing. At canyoning we did lots of activities like jumping into the water, rock climbing etc. It was truly active. Mangrove sup was completely different. Calm and peaceful sliding through the forest. Night jungle tour was different from the first two activities as we explored jungle with a torch. Definitely recommend it! Canyoning was great. It looked a bit extreme but in fact no one was scared. We jumped into bro the water from rocks, we splashed down the river but all our activities were carefully guided by the staff. We were 9-10 people with 2 guides so guides payed attention to all participants. I would recommend this tour to those who are active, like jumping into the water from height and can do basic climbing. I would prevent you from participating if you don’t feel well, consume alcohol or feel tiered after any other activity. Many thanks to our guide Oscar!

Great thrilling experience for young and old. Kengo was very helpful at guiding us, especially our daughter who was initially scared but was able to eventually do all the jumps. One logistical challenge for those doing a day trip from ishigaki during the colder months is that the ferry to uehara port (the pick up point) is very frequently canceled. The schedule to ohara port is limiting as it is 50 minutes by car between the ports.

It was a great experience to see this very exciting part of the island! Kono was a very great guide that made us feel safe all the time- can really recommend this tour wit Kono!

A very enjoyable activity, but I recommend that you go at high tide for the full experience. The canoes are good quality and it’s safe to bring children. Our local guide Kono was very sympathetic and spoke English well since he has been living in England. He also provided many good tips for good restaurants, places to buy sweet pineapples and more.

Shoma was an excellent guide! He showed us how to safely jump and float in a beautiful Iriomote stream! We had an amazing time and would go again!

We had a great experience with Tomochin as our guide. He made sure we knew how to jump safely and pointed out cool things along the trail. The water was refreshing and the scenery was great. They also provided us with great video clips of us jumping. I only wish we had brought a waterproof camera to capture other beautiful scenery along the way

Everything about the splash canyoning tour was amazing. The convenience of being picked up at the port, having the equipment provided, the beautiful scenery of the canyon, and the fun of jumping, swimming and climbing through it. The tour guides were also super friendly and nice, I had Naoto and he was great.

Booked this tour with a kid, Ayu was patience, also encouraging when guiding him through on navigating the path. The tour was nicely planned and executed with the right amount of excitement and difficulty for all ages.

Highly recommended. We had a brilliant afternoon with a gentle jungle walk, returning via rock-scrambling, cliff jumps, natural water slides, sitting under a waterfall and relaxing in a rock pool. Plenty of fun for us grown ups and our pre-teen alike; constant smiles throughout.

The tour was thrilling and really fun! We walked and swam through the canyon, jumped off from cliffs and slid down waterfalls. Our Guide made sure that everybody was safe and having fun. He was telling different facts trough out the tour and made sure to show the beautiful nature. We would recommend this tour if you are in the area 😄

We were guided by Bandy, the most caring yet fun guide you can dream of! He made a great effort communicating with us in English as we were the only non-Japanese couple. The canyoning is for beginner level but even if you have done it before, it's great fun and the best way to immerse into Iriomote's lush nature! Nine of us participated in canyoning! The guides were very kind, and the explanations were easy to understand, so even as a first-timer, I was able to enjoy it with peace of mind. We had experiences that we don't usually get to do, like rafting and jumping in, and all the members were very satisfied! Thank you for taking so many pictures; it made for great travel memories. This was my first time coming to Iriomote Island, and I had a wonderful experience! The tour guide, Ike-chan, was a lot of fun and taught us so much about Iriomote Island and kept the energy up, so it was a very enjoyable tour! Since it's hard to jump into a river in the city, I thought I'd like to participate again!

We participated as a couple. I was scared of jumping from a height, but they guided me to a lower spot, and I was able to jump safely. Even those who are a little scared of jumping from a high place should feel safe participating. Ike-chan's guide was very fun! Thank you very much!

I went on snorkeling and canyoning tours on Iriomote and Barras! Three friends, I was always impressed by the best view. Deer and Leon showed me around with great care, so I could enjoy it with peace of mind. If I get another chance, I'd love to participate! It is a really good memory. I want to go again.

I went on a canyoning tour in Iriomote. It was a very adventurous activity for children and adults alike. The explanations of Rocky and Jun on the tour and the stories along the way were also very enjoyable. I recommend it.

I participated with my fifth grade child. The thrill of river play, which you wouldn't normally experience, was made safe with the assistance of an instructor. The kids were overjoyed and used a variety of attractions, which they rated the best.

My family of four went canyoning, snorkeling and night tours. It was my first time canyoning, but it was more adventurous than I had imagined and I really enjoyed it! This year was the first time I could see sea turtles and sea snakes in snorkeling. On the night tour, we encountered a large coconut crab, which was very impressive. My sons love living things and fish, and their trip to Iriomote is becoming an annual event. As we asked last year on pipi, every tour and every guide is kind, courteous and safe to enjoy. I hope you can visit Barras Island next year. It will be great to see Okun again, who loves living things and fish like his sons.

The first dive in 25 years was a test of courage, but it was pleasant and awesome. I enjoyed it until the end because the person who participated with me supported me when I couldn't climb or get off without my legs and core.　I want to build up my strength and try harder play!

I tried my first splash canyoning! I was nervous because it was my first time, but thanks to Shou-chan's kind and fun lecture, it was the best memory of Iriomote Island! Next year, I want to try another activity!

My family came for a trip to Ishigaki Island. I was looking for something new for my kids to experience, because I was here last year, and I found this tour and applied. It was a great relief to hear about the reservation confirmation and unknowns. And on the day of the tour, even we adults learned a lot from hearing about Iriomote Island, from picking up at the port to arriving there. The Canyon Ring finally started, and my son is usually a timid man, but he worked really hard and asked a lot of questions of the guides and seemed to be very excited and enjoyed it. It seemed like a lot of confidence to jump in from high the day after the tour! We asked what we had the most fun with on this trip, and it came straight back to us with Canyon Ring! I think I'll be traveling around the same time next year, so I'd love to join this tour again! Thank you so much for the fun memories!

I joined by myself, but I was surprised at first with 7 people from Hong Kong compared to 1 Japanese! However, both the participants and our guide, Mr. Sato, were very kind and had a great time! It was fun to have the rare experience of being hit by a waterfall in thrilling first time canyoning!

Snorkeling has been cancelled and the tour has been changed to this one. But we had the best experience we could have had on this tour! There are activities such as diving into the river while interacting with nature, and I want to do something actively while fully enjoying the nature of Iriomote Island! This is the choice for those who want to spend luxurious time. I wanted to experience it in another season!

On the last day of the trip, we took advantage of the time it took to get on the ferry home to join the half-day course. It was a sudden application the evening before, but I am grateful for their willing acceptance. There is a guide to Iriomote Island's rare insects and plants during the trek, so you won't get bored while on the move. The main canyoning is so dynamic in scale that even I as an adult would feel my feet freeze! "I don't want to go home!" my elementary-school-aged daughter said, repeatedly diving from a high rock. So I was enjoying it. The guide is very detailed and has a perfect eye for children. I was able to put myself at ease. It was amazing to see the beautiful scenery and beautiful scenery in the evening. If you are in doubt, I definitely recommend you to experience it!
