A visit here is a moving experience. To really appreciate the background to the park and the different elements of the memorial a guide is essential. Naoko was excellent, from organizing the meeting point to the walk through each part of the park. Naoko provided a background based on local knowledge and insight. 3 hours that you will not forget.

Departure & Return
Departure Point
- Your guide meets you by taxi at Hiroshima Port or Itsukaichi Port and takes you directly to the Atomic Bomb Dome. Learn about the first atomic bombing and Hiroshima’s recovery with an experienced guide. After the tour, you are driven back to the port.
Itinerary
The Dome, once a graceful sight, was left in ruins by the heat rays and shock waves of the atomic bomb. Although there were calls for its demolition during the reconstruction of the city, the A-bomb Dome, which tells the story of the damage caused by the atomic bomb, was left behind as a legacy of humanity.
There is a cenotaph to comfort the spirits of the atomic bomb survivors at a place overlooking the A-bomb Dome.
The museum tells the story of Hiroshima and its people before the atomic bombing, and the impact of the bombing on them. The archives quietly tell the story of Hiroshima as it was on that day.

Naoko was a warm, knowledgeable, and engaging tour guide, with excellent communication and story telling skills. We left feeling deeply moved by all that we saw at the Bomb Dome and Peace Park. We highly recommend her to others!
Gordon, we had the pleasure of spending three wonderful hours in Hiroshima with GORDON M. Wow, what a tour. His knowledge, thoughtfulness and sensitivity went above and beyond our expectations for a guided walking tour and was most appreciated. Additionally, he took us to a unique spot to have Okonomiyaki!
Our guide Masae was amazing and gave us a lot of personal touches as her mum experienced the atomic blast as little baby and luckily is still alive. Masae was mega on time and even went over her scheduled time. Funny we bumped into Masae at a legendary bread bakery/restaurant called Anderson.
It was an amazing experience. Eiji, our tour guide was very friendly and knowledgeable. My husband and I really enjoyed this walking tour. Highly recommend!
Eiji was an amazing guide for our family of four. He was extremely insightful, knowledgeable , and informative, and gave a local perspective that we truly appreciated. This was definitely one of the more moving experiences we had during our visit to Japan.
Yumi was a very knowledgeable and engaging guide. The experience exceeded our expectations. Highly recommended.
Gordon Michasiw was an amazing guide providing much needed to context and history for Hiroshima Peace Park and Museum. He also found us the most delicious hole-in-the-wall spot for lunch, a place we never would have found on our own!
Visiting the Peace Park was a very memorable experience. Out tour was well organized, and Gordon provided thoughtful historical context while treating the subject with great respect and sensitivity. Walking through the park, seeing the memorials, and learning about the events of August 6, 1945, was both moving and educational. Gordon struck a good balance between sharing historical facts and honoring the lives affected by the tragedy. There was also time to explore, reflect, and appreciate the park’s message of peace and hope. I highly recommend this tour with Gordon to anyone visiting Hiroshima. It’s an unforgettable experience that offers valuable insight into history while inspiring a deeper appreciation for peace and the importance of preventing such tragedies from happening again.
Tomoko wad very nice pleasent and knowledgeable guide , made our visit very interesting, and facinating. We recomend her a lot. It was very efucated tour.
Our guide, Gordon, made this experience so much more meaningful with his storytelling. He brought us back to 1945 as if we had been residents living through this horrific time. Whether on the bridge, at the dome, museum, the Peace Park, the other historic sites, he totally enriched our experience. Seeing groups of students honoring those gone and advocating for peace was wonderful. History came to life on this tour. The museum, though, is not for the faint of heart. Be prepared….
We took this tour with Emiko and it was the best tour we’ve had during our 2 week stay in Japan. She is very knowledgeable and took us to locations we would not have known had it not been for her. Emiko is a great ambassador to her city and provides all the information needed to get an in depth perspective of the bombing. Thank you Emiko!
Guide mmatsu was very informative and knowledgeable,. Also very helpful afterwards walking me down the bustling street showing me local eateries 5 starts to her 😊
The tour was full of information and our tour guide Naoko was amazing. She took the time to explain everything without rushing through and was very receptive to answering our questions.
Masae our guide was great. She shared many of her families stories with us and provided a well paced tour throughout the park and the Memorials.
It was our first trip to Hiroshima and we wanted to learn as much as we could about the city and history. Our tour guide Ami was wonderful and so knowledgeable. We enjoyed our time with her and thankful she took such time and patience. Thank you Ami!!
Gordon M is just fabulous. Met us at our Shinkansen. Took us by street car to our hotel to drop off the baggage. Then gave us a full 3 hr meaningful personal expof Hiroshima and the impact of the atomic bomb.
Naoka was truly remarkable- a second generation survivor of the bomb herself- she provided a wealth of information you can’t get on most tours. On top of which- she was a genuinely kind and hospitable person.
Our guide, Gordon was incredible. He went above and beyond. The tour was amazing; he took us to several places around the peace memorial and was extremely knowledgeable about every place. He was able to answer all of our questions with ease. Even after the tour was over, he took us to one of his favorite spots for lunch and we had a traditional Hiroshima lunch, which was fabulous. He exceeded our expectations in every way. I would highly recommend this tour and Gordan to anyone who is traveling to Hiroshima.
This was a very moving experience. Our guide Naomi was excellent & shared her family’s story about the attack. She had many interesting facts to share & had some interesting pictures that helped with our understanding of what happened that day.
Our guide Emiko was very knowledgeable and patient with all of our questions. This tour covers the most important sites. It is an experience that you wish you didn’t have to see but something you must see.
It is very informative and our guide was very knowledgeable. There was so much information that we were not aware of...
Ami was an excellent tour guide. Very knowledgeable and helpful. The tour is very thought provoking and Ami is very knowledgeable about the events and history.
This was a lot more informative than just going through the museum. The peace park part of it was very interesting
Would highly recommend! Would not have learned even 10% of what I could have learned on my own. Tour guide very knowledgeable, respectful, and full of information, and kind! Very grateful we signed up for this tour!
A very engageging guide who took us through all the history and monuments around the atomic bombing in Hiroshima. We were really educated.
Complete, interesting and moving visit to the whole park and museum area of the Hiroshima A-bombing.
Touring with Takashi was a great pleasure. He was helpful, knowledgeable and able to answer our questions. His personal connection to the event added to the day’s significance. It was a powerful experience for all of us.
Tour guide was very knowledgeable. She had a personal family experience that connected with the Hiroshima experience.
A deeply informative and moving day. Our host struck a brilliant balance between teaching and honoring those affected - now and historically - by this horrific event.
A wounderful tribute to the victims of the atomic bomb and a painful reminder of the dangers of nuclear war. We took two hours to visit, but could have stayed longer. Recommended for an eye opening experience for adults and teens.
From the moment our tour began, Gordon proved to be more than just a guide—he was a storyteller, a historian, and a compassionate bridge between past and present. His deep knowledge of Hiroshima’s history, culture, and resilience transformed what could have been a simple sightseeing trip into a profoundly moving and enriching experience. Gordon masterfully balanced the solemnity of Hiroshima’s past with the beauty and hope of its present. At the Peace Memorial Park, his respectful and heartfelt narration brought the stories of survivors to life, honoring their memories while emphasizing the importance of peace and understanding. He didn’t just recite facts—he shared perspectives, asked thoughtful questions, and created space for reflection. If you’re visiting Hiroshima and want more than just a tour—if you want a meaningful, memorable journey—ask for Gordon. He doesn’t just show you the city; he helps you understand its soul.
Very informative historical place which affected Hiroshima city, culture and people during Atomic Bomb period
This tour was the most amazing and humbling experience. Yumi was the most incredible guide, who made the tour a stand out moment of our trip. We will never forget this experience or Yumi. I can’t recommend this tour enough.
Our guide Ami was very kind and knowledgeable. She took us around the Peace Park and through the musuem and also made a great suggestion for lunch. Thanks
Very succinctive overall educational and emotional experience. Hiroyuki, our guide, was excellent, as was his mother, who accompanied him. They were very friendly, informative and hospitable guides.
Our guide Friend was very kind but very reserved. We would have liked more information about the history and events in general. It took us to the different sites but unfortunately we didn’t feel like we learned much more than we saw at the museum. In addition, our guide arrived on time at the meeting place. We would have liked her to be there 5 or 10 minutes in advance because we were not sure we were in the right place.
