It was a very insightful tour thanks to our tour guide CVA. He made the experience engaging by explaining everything with a great storyline. He also gave us good insights into Japanese culture, which was quite interesting. Would 100% recommend him to anyone looking for a tour.

Itinerary
The Gates of Peace were installed in 2005 to commemorate the 60th anniversary of the atomic bombing of Hiroshima. They were created by French artist Clara Halter and architect Jean-Michel Wilmotte as part of the international “Wall for Peace Project,” which aims to erect monuments inscribed with the word “peace” in cities around the world. The Hiroshima installation is a central element of this project, embodying a message of reconciliation and hope for humanity.
The “Mother and Baby in the Storm” statue is a tribute to all mothers who protected their children during and after the atomic bombing, and to the countless families torn apart by the tragedy. It stands as a silent message of peace and a vow to eliminate nuclear weapons, embodying the determination and hope of Hiroshima’s citizens.
The Prayer for Peace Fountain was constructed in November 1964 and donated to Hiroshima City by Hiroshima Bank. The fountain was built in dedication to the souls of atomic bombing victims who died crying, “Water, please, water,” and as a wish to console their spirits.
The Cenotaph is an arched monument sheltering the names of all known victims, inscribed with “Let all the souls here rest in peace, for we shall not repeat the evil.”
Explanation of the design and monuments in the Park.
The eternal flame will remain lit until all nuclear weapons are abolished, symbolizing hope for a peaceful future.
A tranquil space for reflection, dedicated to those who lost their lives, with thousands of memoirs and testimonies preserved.
The basement of this building sheltered a sole survivor during the bombing, symbolizing resilience and the randomness of survival.
Inspired by Sadako Sasaki, who folded paper cranes while battling leukemia from radiation exposure. The monument is adorned with cranes sent from around the world.
Visitors ring the bell as a gesture of hope and a call for global peace.
Chimes daily at 8:15 AM, the time of the bombing, reminding all of the importance of peace and remembrance.
The T-shaped bridge was the intended target of the atomic bomb, marking a significant point in Hiroshima’s history.
The preserved remains of the former Prefectural Industrial Promotion Hall, closest to the hypocenter, now a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
The exact location beneath which the atomic bomb detonated marked the ground zero of devastation.

Cva was fantastic Guide-- his knowledge about the history not only of Hiroshima but beyond going back further is amazing. I was very pleasantly surprised by the tour and even though it was raining the whole time ( a extreme minor sacrifice compared to the history learned) it was very well worth it

We had a great tour done by Cva(Siva) on beautiful evening. His depth of knowledge and the ability to converse it with healthy humour at times made this tour exceptionally memorable in our days in Japan. We booked the tour at 4.30, finished on time. We did the museum on our own the following day as it was closed after 5(not included in the tour). Cva’s enthusiastic explanations made our tour even more easier and we thoroughly enjoyed it. Best wishes to Cva.
Cva was a very knowledgeable tour guide with a real talent for teaching - we would recommend his tours to anyone visiting Hiroshima.
Cva (Siva) our guide was fantastic from his historical knowledge beginning in 1825, leading up to the war between USA & Japan (Pearl Harbour) and ultimately the dropping of the 2 atomic bombs on Japanese cities. His interaction with the group was impeccable, he engaged everyone in the group. Would recommend Cva to anybody who wished to understand the history of Japan leading up to and including WW2.

Cva was the best guide I’ve had in my five months of travelling so far and definitely in Japan. He’s deeply knowledgeable of the history of Japan, the lead up to WW2 in the Pacific and the events of Atom Bomb in Hiroshima. It can be hit and miss with free tours, but Cva is among the best. This is a must do if you’re in Hiroshima.

He was also more than happy to answer our many questions that we had for him. Thank you Matthew!
My wife and I found our walking tour of Hiroshima with our guide Cva to be incredibly moving and meaningful. Cva's knowledge of WWII history is obviously extensive and he shared it with our group in an objective yet compelling manner, emphasizing a message of peace. He invited questions throughout the tour and managed wrong answers with grace, making everyone feel comfortable and welcome. I can't imagine a better use of two hours in Hiroshima. Highly recommend.
