Outstanding tour and amazing guide! The Hiroshima Peace Park, Museum, and A-Bomb Dome group tour was a true highlight of our trip. Our guide, Maria, was incredibly thoughtful, kind, and packed with deep historical insight. She handled the sensitive history beautifully and gave us a profound understanding of Hiroshima’s legacy of peace. Thank you, Maria, for a lovely afternoon Thompson and Schwenke group from Australia

Suki was the best tour guide!! She was so kind and knowledgeable and we're so glad that we took this tour. We learned so much and would highly, highly recommend to anyone coming to Hiroshima looking to educate themselves and pay their respects.
Matthew was an excellent guide! He so knowledgeably and thoughtfully conveyed information about such a complicated, nuanced and moving subject. We went to the Peace Memorial Museum after our tour with Matthew and actually felt that the time spent with Matthew was even more impactful and powerful. 11/10
Megumi was a very informative and thoughtful guide explaining sometimes a very sad subject. I 100% recommend this tour.
We were so impressed with Megumi, our guide for the Hiroshima Peace and walking tour. She is clearly passionate about her city of Hiroshima and extremely knowledgeable of it's history. Although initially, we were only a group of four, due to reasons beyond her control, she ended up taking on a group of 18 and did a flawless job. Excellent tour! Thank you Megumi.
Nesa was a great guide very informative. We learnt so much from her. She does not take you to the museum but you can do it before or after.Highly recommend this tour.
Great experience and great knowledge of the tour guide. Highly recommend this experience. Recommend anyone to book it.
Lovely walking tour. Our guide, Camille, was very knowledgeable. Recommend. Good for adults and older children.
The evening tour (4:30pm) was much less crowded and the lights were beautiful. A great way to learn about the events of August 6, 1945.
Amazing guide who gave us a real context and understanding for the relationship with USA and why the stories are so important to keep alive . One of the best guides we have had so thanks to Cva you were amazing !
This walking tour was nicely paced. Our guide explained many of the statues and their significance. He shared the history of Hiroshima and the bomb. I recommend this tour in order to have a better understanding of all the sights to see in the Peace Park.
The tour is nicely paced and informative and takes in all of the main monuments around the peace park - with the exception of the museum which needs a separate coat from a time standpoint. The guide’s explanations were measured and frank, and he was clearly very proud of his city and its response to the events of the war. We thoroughly enjoyed the tour depute the tragic context and found it a very positive experience, despite being harrowing at times.
Tomas drew on deep knowledge and passion about the day that changed Hiroshima and the world forever. He did so in a way that was accessible and engaging. Our tour is one my family will remember.
Cva was a very informative guide and explained everything in a way that was easy to understand. We learnt a lot about the history of Hiroshima and the details surrounding the bombing, making this a really interesting and worthwhile tour and eye opening experience.
Shiva our guide told us the geopolitical history of the region, and the origins of war with Japan at time of WWII. He had a deep knowledge and was very engaging. I don’t think I would have had that insight on an ordinary tour without Shiva’s study as background.
Tour guide was Daniel, who was very knowledgeable. He is doing a PhD in Hiroshima and his ability to address complexities overall was good. We did not go in the museum, he left that to us later. My understanding is it gives more vivid accounts/ pictures of nuclear attacks and fallout. We did not have time for that. The tour was of the memorial and he did a great job explaining it's history and what each part represents. It is a sober tour, but that is expected given the topic at hand. Very good experience.
We enjoyed the experience and learned a lot about the history of Hiroshima
The tour was a great experience. Moe was so knowledgeable and shared many memories about her own family that it was very emotional and lovely for everyone. I would highly recommend this tour to everyone!
Amazing tour and our tour guide, Cva, was great. Very knowledgeable and intelligent, we enjoyed it and learnt a lot.
This was a great tour with a very friendly and knowledgeable guide! Our guide “Saki” was very well informed on the historical aspects of Hiroshima and is also a native to Hiroshima! Saki conducted a well organized tour and was able to answer all our question's! Highly recommended! Thank you Saki-san! 🙏🏼 Also, I apologize again for being a few minutes late. The “Street Car” dropped me off on the other side of the park and Google Maps had me running around in circles…literally! I must have crossed 平和大橋 5X!!!!! 😂 🙏🏼
Didn’t realize a night tour would be the best way to appreciate the Memorial. It’s solemn, respectful, and our guide was great.
The tour was exactly what we needed. Very informative. Plenty of shade. Good knowledge. Would definitely recommend.
Our guide Malek spoke perfect English was very knowledgable and the tour had a perfect pace. A very good unbiased history of Hiroshima was explained.
I was not looking for a “to the left is a statue and here’s the castle type of tour”. Our historical tour delivered the depth I was hoping for. This was an excellent, comprehensive tour beginning with the 100+ year period leading up to World War II and how tenuous the US Japan relationship had already been. Our tour guide Cva was fantastic teaching us about perspectives from Asian history that we did not come in knowing with our US history background. He took us to each of the major sites and shared reviting and heartbreaking facts at all of them. The tour ended with seeing sites and hearing stories of the beauty and resiliency of Hiroshima- and a call that we must all continue to work towards peace. We are a family of 4 and Cva completely engaged my children of 15 and 12. Also I had clumsily sprained my ankle the day before and he was so thoughtful in finding elevators for me to more easily navigate. We had wonderful conversations about peace (and lack there of) in these current times. Beautifully done, very introspective! I highly recommend.
“Cva” loves his job and it shows. He was energetic, he has a great speaking presence and intense interest in the topics. He presented the information from a balanced and unbiased standpoint and frequently engaged the group with provocative questions and conversation. A job well done, this guide left us all feeling like we had walked on a journey in time all the way to the 1800’s and the origins of the Pacific WW2 conflict. Our group included also one Japanese national who appreciated Cva’s approach and content. The tour does not enter the museum but we went the next day. The museum was worth it but it was also a much longer time-commitment. Cva did touch on much of the content in his tour but it is nevertheless a powerful experience to hear more stories from primary sources.
Cva was a great guide, very knowledgeable and unbiased presentation of the history leading out to Hiroshima. This is an experience that makes a mark on you.
Cva was a nice caring Tour guide and a great storyteller.
I learned a lot. Our tour guide was Dave. He was very knowledgeable. His overall knowledge of the history was great. I thought the beginning of our tour was very fitting and a somber way to start. It was interesting to learn about the different statues and monuments in Peace Park and why they are important. The extent of the damage that was caused both physically and mentally towards the people in Hiroshima and the city itself, by the atomic bomb, was very eye opening.
This tour is great for a first visit to the peace memorial and park. Our tour guide was great, he was a fun story teller and very knowledgeable. Highly recommend it for families with kids.
Our guide was extraordinary in the sense that he first provided a broad historical perspective on the war between the USA and Japan, starting with the wests colonisation of Asia, and Japans history of independence, and culminating in the difficult set of options available to the USA at end of the war. He then switched to provide a very personal perspective of what happened to the people of Hiroshima, and the many hundred thousands of personal tragedies that ensued; culminating in the case for doing everything possible to prevent a repeat of the Hiroshima bombing.
Cva was an awesome story teller, spoke in very clear English, and compassionate toward the history. Amazing 2 hour tour of the key monuments, key moments, and impact of the moment. Highly recommend!
This was an amazing experience, I was hesitant to go to Hiroshima as I wasn’t sure it was the right thing to do but once we met Moe, everything changed. Moe is the granddaughter of 3 surviving grandparents who lived in Hiroshima at the time of the bombing, she was able to give first hand information as to what it was like living through such a traumatic event. She has great communication skills and showed us all around the site and museum in 2 hours. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Japan who would like to pay their respects to a beautiful city. Thanks again Moe 😊
Cva was extremely knowledgeable and impressive about the tour topics. We all learned a lot. The one thing I will say is that there wasn’t a ton of sensitivity while discussing sensitive subjects to a broad audience. We were all there to learn and understand that this approach was direct and straightforward, just know that you will hear about the horrors of war and the aftermath of the nuclear bomb with a lot of context and very little nuance.
Very enjoyable tour! You move along to various stops and hear the history of what and why. At a good pace, not to quick, not too slow, there is a fair amount of ground to cover. Cva was fantastic, great knowledge and presented it matter-of-factly, without bias and neutrally, the history of the situation. He engaged with the group, answering questions when asked, careful to keep judgment and emotion from the participants in check. Thank you Cva! It was an emotional experience, for it was a horrible thing that happened.
We had an amazing tour with Kiyoshi! The tour was very interesting. Without Kiyoshi, we wouldn't have learned so much about Hiroshima and its history.
This was an exceptional tour. Cva is extremely knowledgeable and we learnt so much from him. We highly recommend doing this instead of walking around on your own. As Cva said … you don’t need to read everything, because that’s what he’s for.
This walking tour was very informative! Our tour guide “Nisa” was excellent in explaining the history of the relationship between US and Japan. She explained the events leading to the A-bomb, the effects, the resiliency and the restoration efforts of the people in Hiroshima. If you’re visiting in June be aware of the heat. Bring water and a sun umbrella. There’s a cafe within the region to get drinks and snacks/lunch. There lots of restaurants in the area for after the tour. Loved this tour and a must do!
Nisa was very warm and engaging. Very knowledgeable and friendly. She took into account the heat and made sure we had plenty of shade
Cva was a very informative and knowledgeable guide. Our Historical tour of Hiroshima was excellent. He gave us a lots of truly interesting facts and made us feel the true Horror of the A bomb dropped on Hiroshima !!
Excellent knowledge guide who gave a clear and concise history of Japan leading up to WW2. Well worth the experience.
Cva gave us a wonderful historical background as well as so much interesting detail about the A - bomb in Hiroshima at the time and its ongoing effect on life now . Loved his message of ongoing peace
Cva was informative, knowledgeable, interesting and entertaining. I would highly recommend this tour.
An information packed 2 hours covering all aspects of the Hiroshima and Nagasaki atomic bombs, delivered with passion and sensitivity. Nisa was an excellent guide and furnished us with so much information and background on what happened, why, and the consequences up to the present day. Thoroughly recommended, thanks Nisa!
The tour was great and the guide was knowledgeable. It helped us prior to visit the museum. I wished the museum fee was included to the tour fee.
Excellent experience, great historical overview of hiroshima Kana was our tour guide and very friendly and knowledgeable.
Camille, our tour guide was very friendly and professional. She showed a lot of respect for the tragic history of Hiroshima while also making the tour engaging and interesting. I walked away from the experience with a deeper understanding and appreciation for the cultural significance of the region.
Tour guide was excellent. She was extremely knowledgeable and pleasant. Great tour.
Brilliant Hiroshima walking tour On a Hiroshima day trip, our family of 5 wanted to better understand the extraordinary recent history of the beautiful city. What was the buildup to the bomb? What happened on the day? How did Hiroshima recover? What is its lasting legacy? This ~2 hour tour started at the peace memorial, meandered through the Peace Memorial Park, taking in the iconic atomic bomb dome building, the bomb epicentre, finishing at the excellent Peace Memorial Museum. Lead by our highly knowledgeable and friendly guide; Cva, he paused frequently to tell us not only the material history of what we were looking at, but the human side as well. Highly recommended to get the most out of a Hiroshima visit.
Our amazing guide Cva, took us through each monument with thr history and story of each one. I found the experience moving, as naturally you would, but because of Cva's deep respect and compassion for the horrors experienced by this area and its people it has made me leave the tour wanting to find out more information. I believe that's the sign of a good tour guide, to ignite interest and hopefully passion. Would definitely recommend this tour, it is only for 2 hours so obviously has to be condensed but well worth it.
You can read the guide books, watch the documentaries but two hours with Moe gives a true insight into the human cost of the 6th August 1945. As the granddaughter of a survivor she shared the events of 1945 and the rebuilding since from a personal perspective, it was very emotional at times but that’s the point. Hiroshima is a beacon of hope and a story worth telling, retelling and sharing.
