Our day in Hiroshima was nothing short of extraordinary, and that is entirely thanks to our incredible guide, Noriko. From the very beginning, her exceptional dedication was on full display. She selflessly rearranged her schedule to meet us earlier than planned, giving up her own time to ensure our family could maximize every single moment of our visit. Noriko is the epitome of warmth, hospitality, and genuine care. Spending the day with her felt like walking around with a dear friend. What truly sets her apart, however, is how magnificent she was with our children. Hiroshima holds deep, complex history that can be challenging to navigate with young ones, but Noriko possessed the rare gift of pacing and pitching the historical context perfectly. She explained the heavier elements with immense sensitivity, making it profoundly educational, accessible, and meaningful for the kids without overwhelming them. They absolutely adored her. Hiroshima is a breathtakingly beautiful city, and seeing firsthand how this vibrant, thriving community has rebuilt and recovered was deeply moving. We feel deeply honored to have experienced its powerful story of resilience alongside Noriko. She took all the stress out of our itinerary, making our entire journey seamless, effortless, and deeply enjoyable from start to finish. If you are visiting Hiroshima, you could not ask for a more thoughtful, knowledgeable, or delightful guide. Noriko deserves the highest praise, and we cannot recommend her highly enough! (The only thing we regret is not taking a photo with her for our travel diary!!)

This tour was fascinating with the help of Norika who was very informative and helpful . Hiroshima was a very moving city and reflects the resilience of the people who have lived through a horrific occurrence .Highly recommend
We had a tour of Hiroshima and Miyajima Island with Kazumi. She had great English. She was passionate about explaining the history of Hiroshima to us. She catered for all of our needs and made it a memorable experience. Thank you so much Kazumi. We had an amazing time.
We have been so lucky to have Eiji as our tour guide. Not only did he reach out weeks ahead to arrange the details of the tour, but he also provided us with various options for the itinerary, so that we could choose the one that best aligned with our interests. Moreover, he handled us with the outmost grace and managed to give clear information about everything we visited, without ever being boring. Miyajima really is an hidden gem, and it's definitely worth a visit if you're in Hiroshima, especially with Eiji as your guide!
An absolutely perfect tour. Joe was one of the best guides we’ve ever had…he was warm and friendly and knowledgeable and funny. A truly warm and nice person. His insights were amazing…he kept us on schedule and hitting trains, ferries and buses right on time with no wait. He knew the best path to the best seats on the ferry and shortcuts away from the crowds throughout. He had incredible knowledge and knew the sites as a lifelong resident. He had scores of pictures on his laptop and pulled them up to show all sorts of history and photos. He worked at the museum for 5 years, so knew all the history and photos and personal stories of everyone. An amazing way to learn the history. He even gave us each a nice gift at the end. We connected in a great way and we (my wife, son and me) were sorry to see the tour end. Joe is that great of a guide. Highly, highly recommend. Five stars!!!
Kumiko (our guide) was so lovely, punctual and knowledgeable. She taught us a lot about the history of Hiroshima, Japanese customs and her advice on which attractions to see was on point. 100% would recommend this experience!
The very best way to see Hiroshima! We had the very best guide, Namitsu. She was knowledgeable, friendly, and very thoughtful! We thoroughly enjoyed our day.
Absolutely wonderful day. Our guide was very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. Hiroko even introduced us to 2 new foods we had never tried.
While the sights we saw were wonderful and worth visiting we were very disappointed in the guide we were assigned. While he was very nice he spoke very little English and was not able to enhance the experience with “guidance”. We were provided almost no information about what we were seeing. In addition I was surprised we had to pay all fees for the guide as well as ourselves. We did not get the value of a “private” tour
Definitely book Noriko. She met us at the cruise passenger terminal and was extremely knowledgeable about Hiroshima as she lives here. We went to my Miyajima Island via the ferry. She not only knew every detail about the island, she thought ahead and made us reservations for lunch to eat okonomiyaki. And as crowded as the island was, we were very pleased that she did so. She was a true pleasure.
Great tour, moving experience. Our tour guide was most knowledgeable, a subject matter expert. He led us to several hidden gems of the city. He was very accommodating with special requests.
The tour was amazing... Joe emailed us in advance to ask our preferences and came up with a carefully crafted tour. He was incredibly knowledgeable and made sure we got more out of our short time in Hiroshima than we could have possibly done on our own. He lent a very personal perspective to Hiroshima's history guiding us through the peace memorials and museum before we visited Miyajima. From meeting us at the train station on our arrival to making sure we got back to our Osaka train he was the perfect host and we enjoyed every minute with him.
Seeing the Hiroshima site and museum was a somber and educational experience. The guide took us to some of the memorials around the city and explained the significance.
Winderful tour with the Miyijima Island and the Peace Memorial Park - especially also the red Tori Gate, floating in the water
Had a very good day with my guide Azusa - and both the Miyajima Island with the floating Toti gate and the shrine was impressing, but also indeed the Peace Memorial Park and the museum
japan is always nice and clean. people are police and it really is a nice attraction to tourists. you can check the tide schdule online to plan your visits.

We probably could have figured out how to see the same sights on our own without a guide but it definitely helps reduce the stress of having to figure it out on your own. It was also very special that she shared her own personal family story of the A-bomb - made the history lesson very personal and genuine. She asked us about lunch preferences and I had done some research ahead of time and knew something to ask for. She did awesome with picking the restaurant as it was my favorite meal on my whole trip to Japan. She gave us adequate space and time at the museum so it didn't feel like we were being rushed. Since Hiroshima was just a day trip for us she met us at the train station with all our luggage and was kind enough to help us figure out how to use the lockers at the train station. I thought it was also a very special touch when she gave us a paper crane that she had personally made - nice personal token to bring home. I didn't know anything about Miyajima when I booked the tour but couldn't figure out how to get a tour of the Hiroshima Peace Park without Miyajima added so just went with it. I was pleasantly surprised and am very glad we did the island. It actually snowed on us while we were walking through the temple, which is rare for us and she said extremely rare for them. So that was also a special memory. The island was extremely packed as they were having an Oyster Festival that holiday weekend so I'm glad we had her to maneuver through the busy, crowded streets.
