Great tour! It ended up being just a private tour with myself and my friend since there was a typhoon coming in. We chose to make this tour walking only and ditched the bikes in case of rain, which worked out well since it drizzled all day! Aimée was an amazing tour guide with so much knowledge and it felt more like hanging out with a new friend! So fun, and we learned a lot!

The tour with Melissa was phenomenal. We loved all of the sites and explanations on Miyajima. Mel was able to seamlessly translate across cultures and ensure we knew the history and importance of each location. Our time in Peace Park was also well guided and explained. The history of the place was well communicated and it was amazing to hear Mel’s own family connection and cross generational experience of the events.

We had a beautiful, sunny day to tour Hiroshima. Our bikes were in good condition and were perfect for touring the area and seeing many places of importance. Our guide, Awais, was knowledgeable and articulate. He provided a comprehensive explanation of the timeline, events, and places of significance. We also visited the island of Miyajima and enjoyed visiting the most fascinating temple there. As always, our guide provided many interesting facts and details about the area. Wonderful tour. I highly recommend.

Had a wonderful day on our tour. The day was sunny, the bikes were in great condition, and our guide Awais was wonderful! He was articulate, knowledgeable, and gave us a comprehensive understanding of the important events of Hiroshima. We also had a very enjoyable lunch and visited the most amazing temple on the island of Miyajima. Throughout the day, Awais was flexible and made sure the tour was aligning with our interests. He also provided interesting facts and details about the many places we visited. This tour does not include admission to the museum, so if that is of interest to you, I would recommend adding some hours to your day, or staying another day altogether. We only had one day in Hiroshima and for us, this was the perfect way to spend it.

I had the most awesome bicycle tour with Melissa. Turns out I was the only one booked for the tour, so it was very personalized. Melissa is an absolutely fantastic guide. She is full of knowledge of Hiroshima and Miyajima Island, having been born in Hiroshima. Her command of the English language is perfect and, of course, she speaks fluent Japanese. I really enjoyed getting to know Melissa during the day. She is a genuinely wonderful person who loves her City and it is full of adventure. We bonded immediately due to our love of adventure travel. I rented an electric bike, as I had not been on a bicycle since I was a child. The electric bike was so much fun and made it so much easier on these old bones! I looked cycling around all of the important places in Hiroshima. The atomic bomb, the peace park, and all the little side streets. Melissa gave me lots of information that helped me understand the history of the city. It was certainly a very poignant day. The visit to Miyajima Island was lovely. The boat ride over was quick, and we spent a good amount of time walking around the seafront, the Itsukkushina shrine, and then we walked up to the Daisho-In Temple, which is probably my favorite temple of all the ones I visited in Japan. The included lunch was a traditional okonmiyaki pancake, which was delicious. I would 100% recommend this day tour and if you are lucky enough to get Melissa as your guide, then you will have won the lottery. She’s the best!

Aimee-Linh was a very knowledgeable guide. She showed us the key sites, bypassing crowded areas that were less significant. Aimee-Linh has studied the sites so as to interpret for visitors more than common knowledge, with cultural nuances.

Our train had a few delays and we were worried we would miss the tour, but Aimee helped us work out the best way to get straight to Hiroshima so we could still make it and enjoy the experience. Really excellent tour that hit the main sites of Hiroshima. Aimee was a great tour guide. She was very knowledgeable and engaging. It wound up being a private tour and she tailored it more to our interests. You aren't on the bike all day as you take the metro and the ferry without the bike to Miyajima island. The ramen we ate for lunch was phenomenal. Probably the best ramen we had in Japan.

We had a nice day riding in Hiroshima and walking in Miyajima to take in the cultural sites in both. The weather was exceedingly hot so our group wasn't able to maximize the experience - nothing against our guide or the program and more just an outcome of an extremely hot summer of 2026. The bikes were in perfect shape and each expertly prepared for our riders. Our guide was extremely knowledgable and able to keep us on our tight schedule as we needed to take a Shinkansen back to Osaka later that evening. We traveled on International Peace Day, which is very busy in Hiroshima, so we reversed the tour order, as Hiroshima Peace Park was very busy in the AM. Overall it was a great day!

We had a really good day and enjoyed the information we got from Miyu. It was a good mix of info of the island and info of the atomic bomb. We ate the okonomiyaki of Hiroshima as lunch and enjoyed it very much. I would recommend this trip to everybody who is visiting Hiroshima.

Aimee was amazing, she was very professional to ensure my wife and I could ride bikes safely, then her friendly personality combined with her wealth of knowledge made our day amazing. Aimee is one of, if not the best tour guide we have every had on all of the similar tours we have done around the world, she is an asset to any tour company.

We had a blast with Hassan! He has a wealth of knowledge to share. We had very few questions and we ALWAYS have questions! We enjoyed the balance between biking, subway, ferry, and walking, especially on miyajima island. This is a physically challenging trip if you are not used to bicycling or used to being on your feet all day. Bring a back pack, umbrella, water, and snacks. Our included Lunch was okonomiyaki and was very delicious and filling. If you need more though, Miyajima has a ton of places for a quick bite or drink. Just speak up and Hassan will be happy to accomodate!

Aimee was our guide today and she was exceptional. Our tour was informative, fun and the bikes were great. Highly recommended you do this tour with Aimee as she showed an incredible amount of knowledge in regards to the history of Hiroshima and the island we visited. Food was great also and we had numerous tastings of local delicacies.

We had a brilliant day on the Hiroshima and Miyajima by Boat & Bike tour and were really lucky as it ended up being a private tour. We started out with our guide Dave, heading to the Memorial Park. He shared so much insight as we walked around what is such a beautiful and reflective place. Hearing about the impact on the city was genuinely heartbreaking, but it was done in a really thoughtful and respectful way. From there, we left our bikes at the station and took the train and ferry over to Miyajima Island, stopping for a delicious ramen lunch at the ferry port. We explored the shrine, got the classic photos with the famous gate, and then made our way back to Hiroshima to finish up at the castle. It’s definitely a long day, but it covers so much and is a great way to make the most of a short stay in Hiroshima without feeling rushed. Honestly, we couldn’t recommend it enough.

We did the full day (7-8 hours) tour with James. We only had 1 full day in Hiroshima and we’re happy we booked this biketour. Now we saw the most important things in Hiroshima and got a lot of information from James. We really enjoyed the tour. James gave us a lot of information along with some restaurant tips and tips for our further journey in Japan. He was really nice and helpfull. Would really recommend!

We had a fantastic tour exploring the history of Hiroshima and focusing on the atomic bomb. Awais was an incredible tour guide and we were amazed at his depth of knowledge and the way he organised the tour - definitely ask for him if you’re booking on. He was able to make adjustments based on what we’re interested in and picked a great place for lunch that we wouldn’t have found otherwise as it’s off the tourist route. Thank you Awais for a great last day in Japan - well worth it!

We had a super amazing tour guide Aimée!! She was such a nice woman and very fun to talk to☺️. We unfortunately had quite a weird man in the group that made me and my friend (being 2 19-year old girls travelling alone) quite uncomfortable with certain actions but Aimee spotted it also right away and made us very comfortable and was looking out for us the whole time and still made the tour very enjoyable nonetheless! She had such a fun way of talking and gave us lots of great information about the things on the island and about Hiroshima and what happened.I would definitely recommend😊.

Aimée and the 2 of us had an amazing day! Well, at least we did, not sure about Aimée ;-) We have been in Japan for over 2 weeks and this was easily the best tour we have done. We visited a lot of different and unique sites and learned a lot about the history and people of Hiroshima. We highly recommend this tour to others if you are mobile and willing to bike/walk and learn about the culture of this beautiful and historically significant city. What am amazing tour! I ended up being the only one on the tour and Aimee was able to taylor the tour to my preferences. We ended up exploring Miyajima more and I got some great photo opportunities and tips to improve my photos! Afterwards got a history lesson on the Peace Memorial park to finish up the tour. One of the top highlights of my trip.

Even though no bikes were involved due to rain, we still enjoyed this tour. Awain is very knowledgeable and adapts to individual needs. We visited places we would never have known to visit. I had walking issues and he adapted my tour to make sure I could sit wherever possible. It's well worth it, to get away from the crowds and get a more personalised tour.

One of my favorite activities in Hiroshima. The guide was very patient and knowledgeable. I learned and saw so much but never felt rushed. Extremely glad I did this on my first day to see the whole area and learn about the history of this beautiful city.

Jamie was very good but what was offered as a bycicle tour had very little cycling and a lot of public transportation to a very touristic and crowded island.

This us a fabulous way to get around the city, learning about the horrible devastation of the American nuclear bomb and then visiting the magnificent Itsukushima Shrine. My guide Page was a wealth of knowledge and great fun to be with.

Great tour, you can see a lot of Hiroshima and miyajima in just 7/8 hrs, including a great ramen in between…truly recommend…

A great adventure full of a lot of information. It rained the whole day though which made it tough but everything else was great.

I had a great time on the bike tour with Alex!!! The bike was good and the directions were clear. We saw so much and Alex did a wonderful job of explaining things, making it really fun! He speaks and understands English fluently so he can answer your questions not just repeat a script he's learned. We had a great lunch! The best one I've had so far, and it was delivered to the table by a robot! We also wandered all over the island and even pet the deer! I highly recommend Alex tour!!!

We had a very enjoyable day and the guide Ishan had very good English and an extensive knowledge of the history of Hiroshima. There is not a lot of bike riding and we would have liked to do more however otherwise a well organised tour with a great lunch.

Great way to see the Peace Park area of Hiroshima and Miyajima shrine. Our guide Alex was excellent and timed our visit to Miyajima so that we saw the Tori gate at high tide. Cycling around Hiroshima was a great way to see many of the sites and hear the history. Would highly recommend!
