The staff at ANA Crowne Plaza Hiroshima were incredibly kind, helpful and accommodating throughout our stay. I particularly appreciated the reception team's assistance in communicating with another hotel in Osaka regarding an item I had accidentally left behind. They went out of their way to help, which I was very grateful for. The room itself, however, was fairly average. I had paid to upgrade to a larger room, but compared with the other hotels we stayed at during our trip around Japan, I found it somewhat underwhelming. Overall, the excellent customer service was the highlight of our stay, and the staff certainly deserve recognition for their kindness and professionalism.

The hotel amenities are up to date and good enough. And the location is really good. But the hotel rooms are terribly dated, smell like smoke because they haven't replaced them since it was a smoking hotel. The beds and bedding are rock hard and cheap. It's all very old old old. Don't bother. You can probably get a nicer room at this price point elsewhere.
Stayed at ANA Crowne Plaza Hiroshima for a few nights. The room was great, clean, comfortable, and spacious enough, especially after spending the whole day walking around. The location was also really convenient for exploring central Hiroshima and the Peace Memorial Park area. The breakfast was good with a decent selection, although after a few days it started to feel like I was eating the exact same breakfast every morning lol. Overall though, a really comfortable stay and a good base for exploring Hiroshima.
🛏️ Stayed in a Premium City View King Room. 🎶 Road noise was fairly minimal for our stay (there were building works for a building next-door while we were there) 📍Location is perfect - a tram stop just around the corner (short walk) so easily assessable from the train station. Walking distance from most major sights like peace museum and atomic bomb dome. Food located fairly close - otherwise only a few blocks to the iconic Okonomiyaki ROKU. (Plenty of Lawsons, 7/11 near by) The room was large for Japan but overall is very dated (stuck in the nineties) even with the power points on the bedside tables. However its perfect if you want location and just somewhere to sleep the night (i wouldn’t rate their bed or pillows very highly for comfort) Mostly filled with a lot of corporate guests when we stayed. Overall the hotel is perfectly located for a stay in Hiroshima if you’re into all the history with easy access to public transport if you’re into want to explore further. Thank you for a pleasant stay in Hiroshima
The hotel has a policy of not allowing any outside food in the club lounge. Management had no explanation for this policy. Bringing a small bag of nuts and a banana does not compete with sales as the club lounge is already paid for. Salted nuts are available so this is not a bow to allergenic customers. Although I paid for the club lounge I had to eat my breakfast on sidewalk outside the hotel to let my wife sleep. Update 4/21/2026 : I have repeatedly requested a meeting with the manager, they have refused or neglected to do so, instead they have posted the non apology below. Lounge staff have proposed a far more plausible explanation for the policy that by bringing a banana into the lounge other guests might ask for one. The provision of whole fruit would strain the parsimony of Hoshino Resorts the property owners. The property is managed by IHG ANA HOTELS GROUP JAPAN who also manage the INTERCONTINENTAL OSAKA and INTERCONTINENTAL SAPPORO neither of whom have any such policy. I cannot recall feeling less welcome in a hotel. Update 4/22/2026 : I have now checked out and after repeated requests over 3 days no member of management would meet with me. I have no answer to how 60 grams of nuts (available in the lounge but salted) and a banana, both packed and purchased from the Seven & I Holdings Co. Ltd. store across street from the hotel would offend the vague nouns of Hygiene, Safety and Quality. Or how the products of Seven & I Holdings Co. Ltd. would be considered so toxic that they could not be consumed in the hotel lounge. To say nothing of how medical necessity or religious devotion would be treated. A thorny knot of questions likely explains why no other hotel in more than 30 years and 26 countries of my experience has such an absurd policy. To comply with the rule I ate my breakfast again on the sidewalk in front of the hotel.
