From the moment we walked through the doors, the service at this lodge was nothing short of exceptional. The staff were remarkably attentive, endlessly helpful, and went above and beyond at every single opportunity to ensure we felt completely cared for and comfortable.
The attention to detail here is extraordinary—even breakfast was a highlight, complete with charming details like butter molded into delicate shell shapes. Every small detail has been thoughtfully considered. I cannot recommend this lodge highly enough and can’t wait to return!

Great place stay and nothing to much trouble for the staff, very personal touch connecting with guests making sure every part of our stay was incredible. Lovely SPA treatment at really good prices, would definitely return or try one of their other hotels
Had the tension release vigour massage. If you want a firm massage without pain for 60 minutes. Well worth it for R690 with beautiful surroundings. 4 star hotel in Hermanus. Rooms on the upper scale but beautiful views of the ocean presumably excellent for whale watching activities
We are currently traveling along the Garden Route and stayed for two nights at Abalone Guest Lodge. Our stay was wonderful, and we felt very comfortable throughout.
The property is very well located, directly on the Cliff Path. The staff were extremely friendly, and the room was very clean with a beautiful view.
Unfortunately, I was unwell during my stay, but the team took excellent care of me. Everyone was very attentive, and Ansley was especially kind and supportive.
We would happily stay here again.
