Tour From Helsinki Airport To Helsinki City Center

This is an excellent short tour of Helsinki. Darius is not only knowledgeable about the 'facts' of the key sites, his narration of Finnish culture adds a dimension that gives you a far greater appreciation of Helsinki and what it has to offer. Highly recommend this tour if you want an excellent overview of Helsinki (and also Poorvu if you do the other tour too which I also did). Darius picks you up and drops you off at the airport, making the whole experience seamless. You seriously cannot go wrong if you have a short stop over.

This was such a great tour. My guide met me at the airport and took me to various locations in Helsinki. I absolutely loved the library. I appreciate that my tour guide took me back to my hotel after our tour. It was an amazing overview of the city.

We had a 22 hour layover in Helsinki and decided to book this overview with Darius. It was excellent. He was an encyclopedia of information on Helsinki and Finland. IMy husband asked a thousand questions and he has all of the answers! I LOVED the tour of the magnificent library! It was a great way to spend a few hours!

Was originally booked with Darius (w/pickup-dropoff in car) but there was a change in plans. It meant I had to store my luggage at the airport. However, it all worked out and I had a lovely tour with Tatiana. She met me at the airport and then we took the train into the city center (very easy). Ate lunch at a cozy cafe overlooking the city square. Tour was ~4.5 hours and I felt like I got a good sense of Helsinki, the history of Finland and what life is like there. I had a fun time and the sun even shone a bit while we were out :) Great way to stretch my legs and make use of my long layover on my way to Singapore. Thanks again Tatiana, it was great!

Had a 12 hour layover in Helsinki therefore figure we might as well take a sightseeing tour! We had some immigration issues upon arriving and it took longer than expected to get out and he patiently waited for me. Originally my wife was supposed to join us however she didnt have the right documentation therefore it was just me. Darius is a super patient and well knowledgeable tour guide. Was picked up from the airport and Darius took me downtown all while giving me the historic background of geography and location of Helsinki/finland. Super knowledgeable about everything and everywhere we went. He has time to stop and take photos, its relaxed, you never feel rushed. It was very cold out that day but Darius made it an enjoyable walk and drive through of the main parts of Helsinki. ( He also knows where all the toilets are as I had to stop a few times!) After a nice coffee break we headed back to the airport. Total trip was probably 4-5 hours. I definitely recommend him and his services. If you have a medium to long layover I think its for sure a great option and definitely better than staying in the terminal ( there is not much to be honest and everything closes early).

I was looking for a tour to spend my layover time in Helsinki and chose Darius as he had the best price for it. He picked me up from the airport and took me to the city centre where he showed me the main attractions. He is extremely knowledgeable, and knows everything about Finnish history from centuries ago till today. Also he told me a lot of things about the culture and the way of life of Finnish people which was very interesting. I would definitely recommend him !!

We had a 9 hour layover in Helsinki are arranged a Helsinki tour. Darius was fantastic. It was -5 deg C and 20 cm snow outside. Darius picked us up at the airport, drove us to Helsinki, and we walked around for 3 hours. We would walk for 10 min, then duck into a building to warm up. Lots of interesting buildings, and a great hot chocolate stop! We used up a lot of energy and sleep soundly on our next 13 hour leg to Singapore! Darius has a history degree and it really showed in the depth of knowledge about Finnish history, both ancient and modern. He was happy to answer any questions we had and expanded on things we were interested in. I particularly want to point out how good driver Darius is. Even though the roads were snowy and icy, I felt completely safe with him behind the wheel.

Darius met us just outside immigration with a name sign. He walked us to the car and gave us so much information about Helsinki and the history. We walked all over Helsinki and he knew about each important building and who built it and when and why. He was fascinating with all the knowledge he gave to us. We were there on a 6 hour layover and he brought us back to the airport at a perfect time.

It was our first time in Finland and Helsinki. We had a 7-hour layover at the airport and decided to visit the city. We knew nothing of the country or city. It was the best idea we had. Darius was impeccable, he was on time at the airport, we went straight to the city. We got to know the main points of the city and much of its history, culture and daily life. Well, I could not have been more pleased with the layover tour I took with Darius. He not only showed me many of Helsinki’s main sites, but gave me the history to go with it. Being a historian, he would naturally be good at his job. He was patient with all my picture taking and thoughtfully considered each question I asked him. All of my other layovers have been self-exploration. This changed my mind going forward on using a tour.

I had a short period of time in Helsinki and looked for a tour to kill some time. Once the activity was booked, Darius reached out and confirmed pick up time and location. I always feel better when a guide communicates, and Darius did an excellent job and confirmed once I arrived in Helsinki. Darius was spot on arriving as he stated, and we made for Helsinki. I will say that I knew nothing about Helsinki, but Darius definitely got me up to speed. His in-depth knowledge of the town, the buildings and history of Finland was incredible, and I learned so much and enjoyed his sharing of information. I have been suffering from a slight back issue, so Darius kept a good pace, with plenty of seating options for me while keeping the information flowing along. He has the city mapped perfectly for a walking tour and from start to finish; it was a great time, and I cannot recommend this tour and Darius enough as he was definitely a 10-star kind of guide.

I had 7 hours layover time in Helsinki on my way returning from Moscow to the States. This trip is a hidden gem for a great city tour to see highlights of Helsinki, including Helsinki Cathedral, Uspenski Cathedral, Esplanadi park and Kauppatori. The most memorable experience of my trip is attending Sunday morning service at Temppeliaukio Kirkko. Even though I can only stay for the first 15 mins due to my tight schedule, it is a wonderful experience to enjoy heavenly music in the church of the rock!!!

We had about 17 hours of transit time in Helsinki, so we were looking for a tour that would allow us to spend the night in a hotel near the airport and then spend 2-3 hours sightseeing in the city after checking out. This tour was safe because it would take you to the airport. The guide was there on time. After that, while we were driving to the city, he explained the history of Finland and the lives of the locals. They walked around the National Library, which they wanted to see, A-Aalto and other structures designed by famous designers, explaining each one in detail and answering questions. The first thing I said was, "I want to get back to the airport at 14:00," and he dropped me off on time. I was able to enjoy my first Helsinki with peace of mind on a private tour that answered my requests for places and times. It was nice to be able to exchange emails with the tour company beforehand.
