By the time we got to Sunday, we were really tired and actually, almost decided not to do the walk as we wanted to relax in the sauna. We pushed through the lethargy and made our way - some more reluctantly than others - to the first stop at the National Theatre. That is all I am going to say about the route - otherwise I will give it away - but the trail was excellant - a long leisurely walk past the usual "everyone must visit" places and then pointing out along the way some stuff that the tour guides did not point out as well as some stops that we had passed but not stopped at on the previous day's walk. What was nice was that this really was at our own pace. We stopped at some shops, for a coffee and nibbles, and to complain about the cold, etc. The cryptic "scavenger" part was clever once you understood the premise of the questions - not so much a scavenger hunt but a sort of look closer at the statue hunt, which is great in itself too. We do a lot of city breaks, and the research I put in to make them seem effortless is immense but satisfying. To have something like this to visit and take part in is amazing for me so hopefully our next trip (undetermined as yet) will also have one of these scavenger hunts available too. Well done!
Everytime a nice experience.
I spent only six hours in Helsinki, so I needed a relatively quick and easy route through the historic center, along with a concentrated dose of information about the city's history. From that perspective, the tour was the perfect choice.
Informative self-guided tour with fun but not too challenging puzzles and interesting anecdotes. A good length. Recommended.
The best value - saw so much we would never have found and the information was interesting and entertaining. We LOVED solving the riddles. I would definitely do this again in a different city.
This was so much fun!! It kind of felt like being on the Amazing Race, but way more chill. We got to experience Helsinki in a deeper way than we would have otherwise, and some of the puzzles really stumped us (which was part of the fun). Would highly recommend to anyone who enjoys puzzles or learning about cultural spots.
Very fun way to see the city. We not only played the games but also could stop for food and activities we found along the way
This is a fun way to explore a city with friends. Once you get going it makes sense but it’s a challenge to figure out the app/puzzles at first. I know this is because they have to do it visually since there’s so many languages but just be aware of that. No matter where on the list you start it makes the circuit so you will see everything. With that in mind, I wouldn’t recommend starting at the National Theatre (our first stop) because the question is confusing. We actually couldn’t get our phone to work at first so started exploring on our own and then later picked up the game at a different spot when we could connect. This ended up being a good thing as we wouldn’t have understood what we were supposed to do if we had started at the theatre. Also be aware there is a LOT of walking and quite a bit of climbing. We were able to do it all but it would be extremely difficult for someone with disabilities or health issues.
This was a good first activity to do when we arrived in Helsinki as it gave us an overview of the city and the key sights, with the addition of puzzles to keep my teenager engaged! The puzzles were generally pitched at a good level, just one that was a little too easy. You can go at your own pace, start and finish whenever you want and stop along the way. We had beautiful sun come out as we passed a park so stopped there for a bit.
It fits, everything was good and satisfactory - very informative and interesting! The destination point was not always easy to find
The tasks were okay - the distances well chosen! What we were missing was an "I am here" button - for example, at the cathedral you had to go to a specific spot - it would be good if you could say "I am here" within the vicinity of the object being explored! Otherwise everything is great - I have already done this scavenger hunt in 10 different locations - the historical input including various legends is a dream!
A very nice way to get a sightseeing tour in Helsinki at your own pace. Family with children aged 10, 13, and 15 years. The riddles were of different types based on the exterior of different monuments and absolutely solvable. We made a mistake on the one, but then we could try again. We ate at one of the cafes that were recommended in the app. Recommend looking at the map where all the stops are before you start, we discovered a bit late that we could have started right near the hotel. It was still not a particularly long trip, and we took our time.
A bit too convoluted, several steps to take, jumping from the guided tour app to Google Maps for each stop. Truly nerve-wracking.
Pleasant walk, the puzzles are accessible. Point of improvement: some places mentioned are not on the route and therefore not visited. Examples: archives and places of execution.
Les énigmes sont chouettes et pas trop compliquées. Bonne informations Peut être un peu cher si vous êtes seul
