Bus trip, little but repetetive commentary. It was a way of seeing the city but obviously not a huge amount to see. 2 stops of mins each, unnecessary. The first on I'm assuming the company get a % of sales as there was no point in stopping. The second was a memorial in a park but no commentary on the bus about it

The drivers are ignorant and do not stop at designated stops. They are constantly running late and do not take responsibility for the drivers.
Avoid Stromma if you value your time, especially on a cruise port stop. This was hands down the worst hop-on hop-off experience we’ve ever had and completely ruined what should have been an enjoyable day in Helsinki. We took their bus from the port into the city center, only to spend 72 minutes standing in the rain with a growing crowd of frustrated passengers waiting for another bus that never seemed to come — meanwhile, buses from the competing company kept arriving with no issue. When we finally got moving again, things somehow got worse. Just two stops later, the driver abruptly pulled over and sat there for 20 more minutes because he needed a break. No explanation, no communication, no idea what was happening until the wait was over. At that point, we no longer felt comfortable getting off to explore because we had zero confidence we’d make it back to our ship on time. What should have been a fun day exploring Helsinki turned into a stressful, expensive waste of money. To make matters worse, they also operate in Stockholm, and several of our shipmates reported having equally terrible experiences there. Save yourself the frustration and book with literally anyone else.
Hope for better weather. Cold, overcast day. Good chance to visit some out-of-the-way places which deserve a look.
Great way to see a different part of the City. The bus was still a little cold in winter but if you’re bundled up it was fine.
Good to get an overall view and impression of the city. Not enough commentary and not always sinked. One part said welcome back from the Rock church but we had not even stopped there, and in fact didn't even see it from the bus.
The recorded commentary was interesting not boring. The two stops were just the right length to walk around a little, take a couple photos, and use toilet if needed, without getting too cold (at least on the day I took the tour). The length and departure time of the tour were ideal as well.
Easy way to get an overview of city. It was cold outside and this was a nice way to see alit and stay warm. The stops were good.
The tour covered a few key spots in the area. I was excited to be able to jump off in the middle of the ride to go to the Viking museum. I can hop off go to a museum and hop back on to get to another attraction.
I noticed the majority of highlights were located on the right side of the bus. I sat on the left side and missed several photo opportunities.
Did not give much information. A LOT of time spent with music. Often when they did talk, it was after the site. Neither of the two stops were worth anything. Not what I've experienced with previous Viator bus tours. Very disappointing.
This was a very comprehensive tour and a great way to see Helsinki. I enjoyed the trivia and the heated bus on a cold day!
A good way to see parts of Helsinki we otherwise wouldn't have seen. The tour was through headphones from a recording, so no guide. There was a guide to check us in, but she exited at the first stop. There were two stops where we could get off the bus to take photos. It's not a hop-on / hop-off tour. We had already done a lot of walking on our trip, so this was a nice high-level sightseeing tour to view more of the city.
A good way to get a quick overview of the city and the only way on a weekday in winter. However as others have said it could be so much more, very very limited complementary and a lot of filling music played. They could give so much more information on the history and places, it feels very lazy and very over priced for what you get but as there’s no competition maybe not surprisingly just disappointing. The bus was full and the one stop doesn’t really work in the time but a a cold day it saves an awful lot of walking to get a simply overview of the geography and sights of the city.
This is a 90 minute tour which hits the major spots but didn't give a lot of info on the places and history. Some but not a lot. It stops at the Rock Church for 30 of these 90 minutes. I'd already been so that was a waste of time for me. The biggest issue I would have had is this costs about $38. I had the Helsinki card so it was paid for me but if I was going into it cold I would say this is worth about $10, not nearly $38.
Excellent . Great commentary and Informative about the country , its people and history. Just the right length
Great information on this tour and a 20 minute stop at the Church in the Rock. Very worthwhile. Highly recommend. No other stop offs but was snowing so wouldn’t have anyway!
We were shown almost all of the important landmarks. The audio was clear and insightful. The crew was friendly, interior of bus was warm and ride was comfortable. The only landmark we missed seeing was the Helsinki Cathedral, but this was a 5 minute walk away from the bus drop off point, so it wasnt a big deal. Definitely recommend to get a quick overview of the place.
A lovely ride and the educational audio was super useful. As many have already said, the time allocated to visit the Rock Church is not enough for you to actually walk there and buy a ticket. Please listen to feedback and amend your itinerary. You can easily make the tour 2 hours instead of one hour 45 minutes so that people can actually visit a place and get some value Otherwise it’s quite a nice quick way to sight see from the bus
Great to see this running in the winter months. Really easy way to get a feel for the city and find your bearings. On board audio was very informative.
Throughly enjoyed our tour. We visited Helsinki in January so taking a bus tour was ideal. The audio was offered in several languages so I think it would be open to most visitors. We saw all of the big tourist attractions and were given time to visit the Rock Church. Worth the money and our driver was great. Not sure how he negotiated some of those streets with all the snow/slush, but he did!
This tour did not stop at the Sibelius Monument or at the Temppeliaukio Church as advertised. Super disappointed as I wanted to see the church. Otherwise the tour was ok.
We bought 5 adult tickets online for Helsinki Panorama Bus Sightseeing . Walked from our apartment to the pickup point. It is double decker bus with free wifi on-board. We collect the headphone and map for directional references. The bus is comfortable . The journey starts exactly at 11.00am . The Bus takes us through various tourist attractions . . The headphones are good ,you can choose your choice of language commentary, the audio commentary was clear with music. The Bus do make a stop at Temppeliaukio Church (Rock church) for 20 mins. We went down, it took us approximately 7 mins walk from bus to church, which means basically we were left with just 6 mins to take a look inside the church. Looking at the queue outside the Church, we gave up the tour on the church . We walk back to bus to continue our ride. This Bus tour begins and ends at the Esplanade Park. All in all, we find this 1 hr 45 mins Bus sightseeing is worthwhile as the tour shows us interesting views of city, giving us information on the past and present of Helsinki.
This was a comfortable, relaxing, wonderful way to spend driving around getting to know Helsinki, Finland. The driver and tour guide were friendly and helpful. It was just hard to find initial meeting point with construction and a lot of traffic.
Love the experience! Profesional and friendly personnel. Nice way to start to knowing Helsinki. Recommend it!
We like to do these bus trips to get a quick overview of the place so we can go back to the areas we like. It's a relaxing way to get an idea of the history, layout and basic information of a place if you are new or a tourist.
Very informative . Friendly and timely. Perfect route. Top tier good visibility. Easy to book right from the phone . Pick up and drop off no issues
Great introduction Timon to the city. We took an 11:00 tour so there was plenty of light. We had a later tour with our Scandinavian tour group, but it was dark by then.
Sitting on the top level made seeing everything much easier. While it was winter outside it was nice & warm in the bus. Narration was in English.
Good option when hop on hop off bus is not available.. Good overview of the city. Only 1 stop at the rock church.
Punctual service. Would be nice if they checked before that all the earphones or the voice guides work properly, I shared the earphones with my cousin because I couldn't hear the voice guide from my earphones, other than that is safe and organized, kudos for having several languages.
I was in Helsinki, alone, for four days, in October 2018. I took this tour and I loved it. So, when I was in Helsinki with my wife, for a week in September 2019, we did this together. When I did this tour in 2018, the stop was at the Rock Church. When I did this with my wife in 2019, the stop was at the Sibelius Monument. I am really glad, because it is impossible to see the Rock Church properly in just about ten minutes, and I had to make a second trip later to see it properly!! Whereas the Sibelius monument can easily be seen in ten minutes, as the bus stops right next to it. So, one bit of advice, IF POSSIBLE, take the tour on a day when the stop is at the Sibelius monument. Phone in advance, or ask your hotel front desk to do it for you. This tour is free with the Helsinki Card. Be a few minutes early, and sit on top. You don't get much of a view from the lower deck! The audio guide is good. The starting point at Esplanade Park is a bit difficult to find, ask someone! Everyone in Helsinki speaks English, and everyone is so helpful and polite. So, don't be shy to ask!
It’s strictly a bus tour with just 1 stop. On Sunday (which is when we went), it is the Sibelius monument. Other days it is the Rock Church. The rest of the tour was just driving past places with commentary through the headphones. I guess it was a good overview of the city but would have been better if there had been more stops, or at least a bit of a pause to let you see what the commentary was talking about before it was behind you. We took this in winter when the hop on hop off buses weren’t running, so didn’t have much choice I guess.
We took a one hour and forty-five minute Helsinki tour which cost 32 Euros and made only one stop at the Sibelius monument. Normally, it makes only one stop at the Rock Church but today being Sunday it stopped at the Sibelius monument. It was an interesting an educational tour.
The trip was what you would expect - an easy bus tour around the city with a prerecorded audio. However, the bus was comfortable, the audio was relatively entertaining, and the people working on the bus were very nice. Hence the 5 stars - for what it is, it was a good tour.
Is an excellent way to take a taste of Helsinki.Cosy and warm bus takes around the city with very informative audio guide. The only stop is the rock church that definitely worths the visit. Definitely recommended.
We were in Helsinki only for slightly over a day, so we decided to choose to see a bit of Helsinki on this bus. The bus tour was under 2 hours, with recorded audio tour. And we got to hop off the bus at Rock Church for 20 mins. I guessed we didn’t have very high expectations on this kind of bus tour ( especially we have a pretty bad experience in Stockholm just a week ago), so we were not disappointed at all. The audio tour gave some very basic information about places along the bus route. We got to see parts of Helsinki which we otherwise wouldn’t be able to see , so it was better than nothing for us.
I’m glad I got to see any of Helsinki at all, considering that I had 16 hours total in the city. This tour wasn’t great and it wasn’t awful but I’d say it was overpriced for what you get. We whizzed by some of the best landmarks and made a 20-minute pit stop at the “rock church” when there are way better things to see. Beggars can’t be choosers when you’ve got limited time and this was better than nothing—but there’s got to be better than this.
Really friendly staff and the tour gives a really good whistle stop tour of Helsinki with lots of interesting facts about the city and culture
We had purchased, before the mobile pass became available, Strommer’s Helsinki card intending to do the hop on hop off. We had to pick up our cards and the Panorama bus was right there. Partly due to our experience in Stockholm with the hop on hop off, we decided to do the Panorama instead. There’s only one stop, the “Rock Church”, which we think is a good thing. The audio worked well and was informative. There was also a nice gentleman on board with occasional added commentary. We were only there for a few hours so did not compare it with the hop on hop off.
Visibility was very good. The nearly fifty year old Rock church is marvellous... a unique place to visit. The commentary is clear and in many languages. A trip on the Panorama bus is worthwhile especially on an extremely cold day.
I took this tour on a Sunday and was very disappointed by the lack of places of interest. We didn't get to see the rock church. Maybe because it was winter everything was still frozen so tours of beaches were pointless

Great Tour. Bus brought us to all of the point of interest. I just wished we could've stopped and to take some pictures.

It was a terrible rainy day which spoiled the views from bus !
The commentary was often out of sync with ride so difficult to relate to where in tour we were ?
Bad weather meant seeing attractions was difficult .
Guides not helpful in solving. Problems.

Nice tour inspite of the fact that it is short but it gives general idea about Helsinki

Great way to see the City. Excellent guide and courteous, accommodating driver. The bus provided was top quality and very clean, and pickup/drop-off locations were most convenient.

Was good. We didn't have to walk but next time I will take a hop in hop off

Nice trip. Highly recommended as the first you do after arriving to Helsinki. You got a very good view of the main points of the city.

Excellent tour. A little different than the 24 hour hop on/hop off tour. Excellent commentary commentary on the sights through the individual head sets in you language.

Great if you are short on time and want to see as much of the city as possible.
