We joined the authentic local food tour in Helsinki and had a fantastic time. Elody was an excellent guide — friendly, knowledgeable, and clearly passionate about Finnish food and culture. She explained every stop well, answered questions patiently, and made sure everyone felt included. The tastings were generous and delicious, and the pace was comfortable. What an amazing way to spend an afternoon in Helsinki. I really enjoyed exploring the Kallio district and our guide, Elody, had picked out some scrumptious food and also gave us lots of information about Finland's history, and modern day living in Finland. I thoroughly enjoyed the tour and would recommend it.

I did the secret food tour of Helsinki with the fabulous guide, Ellen! She was so knowledgeable and the food choices were perfect. Everything was delicious and I enjoyed walking around the city with her. We were able to taste so many of the local delicacies. She answered all of our many questions about the area. It was very enjoyable and I would not hesitate to recommend this food tour.

The meet up location has construction and the messages from Viator were confusing. Told 2 different meeting points. I was not the only one who was confused and lost. Our guide also did not bring the correct “orange” umbrella thus further confusion.

We really enjoyed the food tour. Ellen was fantastic. She knew the area well and the market, restaurants and cafes. The Salmon Soup was really good. Black currant juice was surprisingly good. As a bonus Ellen played the piano and sang at our last stop.

Really enjoyed this tour and the way it was structured to give you a taste of different Finnish dishes from starters to desserts. Ana the guide had lived in the area and was able to give a real flavour of local life as well as take us to a variety of types of places to sample the food. Nice to see another area of Helsinki which we might not have visited otherwise. Would recommend

The tour was very good and Ellen our guide was knowledgeable and professional. The food choices reflected a taste of Finland with the moose sausage, smoked reindeer and Salmond soup being my favourites. We are glad to have taken the tour.

Very thoughtful guide with a delightful cuisine

Guide was friendly and knew her area well. I did not like the upstairs stop of the market, as it was strictly touristy stuff. Would not recommend her last stop. Tight sitting. Otherwise informative and we got to sample some authentic Finnish food.

We loved our walking food tour with Elodie in Helsinki. She is so friendly and enthusiastic. We learned lots about Helsinki and wider Finland, both past and present. All of the food stops were also very much enjoyed. It was great to explore the Kallio area and also see the Arena Center at Hakaniemi.
