A wonderful walk and food tour of the city. Larisa ( Lara ) was a great guide and easy to talk to. A great way to learn a bit about the culture.

Tour guide Lara took us to many places and we tired foods we would have never thought to eat before but now we are fans of Finnish foods
The food was great, would have been nice to separate over more stops. It was a nice walk around Helsinki.
We enjoyed walking around the city, visiting multiple places, and tasting different local foods. Our guide was very friendly. Worth knowing is that she was unaware of the food restrictions that we entered for the booking!
Lara was an excellent guide. We spent an interesting morning in Helsinki and had some excellent tastings. I've rated 4 star rather than 5 as I felt the tour was expensive for what it was. Having been warned we would find Helsinki expensive other than this your we didn't find it to be so. We had excellent tastings but I still feel it was overpriced. Other than that an enjoyable tour
This tour is incredible!! Our guide, Larisa, was so knowledgeable and kind! She answered all our questions and told me how to get to non-food related ships I was interested in. The food was incredible! We ate reindeer meat, bear, licorice, lingonberry juice, blueberry gelato, chocolates from the largest bakery and chocolatier in Finland and well as small batch chocolates from an amazing chocolate shop! I think I missed listing some of the incredible experiences we had plus you end at a rooftop bar that had amazing views of the city! FYI the bar has inside and outside options. The tour had the perfect bites of food and the walking made it possible to consume all of the offerings! I would do this again in a heartbeat!!! Worth every penny! !!
Laura was very thorough, telling us all about traditional foods as well as new places and a lot of history about the area.
Lara was a great guide. We got to taste food we would not have tried without her prompting. I especially enjoyed the herring and the rice pudding cake, my wife the salmon with rye bread and hand made chocolates. We also got to see parts of Helsinki we had not yet visited and got recommendations on the best place for Salmon soup.
The guides we had this morning - Sat 22nd March were patient and friendly and the guide giving the talk was so knowledgeable about the history of the minster and the different styles of architecture between the different parts. The climb be it up a narrow spiral stone staircase of over 100 steps was worth it to see the indoor roof space and the amazing internal roof structure as well as the views through the wheel windows. Many features were pointed out including the etchings in the glass which I'm sure we would not have noticed if they had not been pointed out. The guides were patient and always emphasised to go at our own pace and said to pause if necessary both going up and going down. This certainly eased my feelings of worry about holding up other tour visitors. Thank you David and Cristiano.
We had a great tour with Larisa (Lara). There was our group of 4 plus another couple. We went to a number of venues and got to taste a range of interesting and high quality things. We tried a number of things that we would not otherwise have tried. (I won’t spoil the surprise by saying what they were. ) Larisa was a great guide and told us a lot about the food as well as an overview of Finnish history. Considering the foods that we got to try, we thought that the tour was good value.
The FOOD Tour with Roof Top Bar in Helsinki was an unforgettable experience that perfectly combined the city's rich culinary heritage with modern flavors. From the elegant Jugend Hall to a carefully curated selection of food spots, each stop showcased Finnish cuisine in a unique way. The highlight was enjoying breathtaking city views from a rooftop bar while savoring local delicacies. Our guide's engaging storytelling made the tour both a gastronomic and cultural journey. The well-paced itinerary and intimate group setting made it a truly enjoyable and enriching experience. Highly recommended for anyone wanting to explore Helsinki’s food scene in a memorable way!
We got to try different traditional meats, sweets, and tastes traditional to Finnish culture. It was so nice to end at the rooftop bar that overlooked Helsinki, which was absolutely breathtaking. I read some reviews that stated for the price they were looking for full meals, but I think this price was reasonable for the various different meats/fish/caviar and other treats we got to taste during the experience in addition to the drinks at the end. We had a really great time and it offered the opportunity to see and hear more about Helsinki and the Finnish culture.
Anastasia was knowledgeable and so much fun to spend the day with. Highly recommend this tour, especially loved ending at the rooftop bar - wonderful experience!
A great combination of a food tour with many sights of the city. Lara had a lot of knowledge to share.
Great tour of the Helsinki with food tastings! Lara, our guide, did an excellent job showing us major highlights in the city and explaining each dish we tried. I particularly enjoyed the open face salmon sandwich on rye bread and the artisanal chocolates. Highly recommend!
A great couple of hours with Lara who was not only knowledgable about food, but also Helsinki and Finland’s history as well. We would not have found or understood as much as we did without her. Thanks for a great time Lara!
Laura, our guide was fantastic - really covered a lot of the city and loved all the food and all the spots. Laura made the tour!!
Great tour! Was able to try all things Finnish that I would have not ever been able to try on my own. Salmon, caviar, bear, reindeer, pastries, chocolate and dew more things! Our tour guide was super knowledgeable and was able to answer all of our questions about Finland too!
The food was good, and Lara was nice, but it isn’t worth the price. We payed almost $200 usd per person and the food we got wasn’t worth more than $50 dlls all together. We have been in other food tours in Europe, and you usually end up feeling full, but in this tour you just get very small samples of food and you spend so much money, extremely overpriced. The photos are also misleading, she didn’t take us to the market square to see the stands of fruits as the picture shows, just to the old market hall where we had two tastings, then a bakery and we ended at a cafe that made chocolates, but she just gave us each a small sample.
We really enjoyed our Food Tour with Lara. She kept the tour interesting and moving (which we liked.) We also liked the duration of the tour - not too short or too long. We tried salmon, herring, reindeer, caviar, cheeses, breads, chocolates, and ended the tour with a drink from a roof top bar overlooking Helsinki. It was lovely and we would definitely do it again!
Knowledgeable, warm, intelligent guide Lara gave a great variety tour. Our tour was delicious and fun. Lara told us about Finnish culture and shared cool locations in the city. Before the tour, I had never tried smoked deer meat, it was unexpectedly delicious. The end of our tour was a beautiful view from the bar, where we continued to enjoy the city, drinks, and food. I am happy to recommend this tour with Lara!
What a great tour this was! The guide was informative and friendly and we loved the food choices. We highly recommend this tour! The other guests were really nice and interesting too.
It's the perfect choice for someone looking for culinary experience in Helsinki. I had a great time being guided by someone friendly and knowledgeable. Larisa had excellent recommendations for food at the food hall, and we learned about what we were eating from her and the people who worked there. The tour was coming to an end... then the rooftop view from one of Helsinki's bars was amazing!
We very much enjoyed this tour with Lara! Excellent commentaries about history, food and lots more, we would certainly recommend this tour.
This is such an excellent way to spend time in Helsinki. Our guide was friendly, and enthusiastic and had a great knowledge of all things food and culture. We highly recommend this tour!
The guide far exceeded my expectations for our tour. She weaved the most interesting stories about the food history of Finland into each stop and gave great general advice as well about what to see in the city. She took an interest in getting to know all the tour participants. I would recommend this experience 200%, we loved it!
Of course, the chef/guide was knowledgeable, prompt, and warm but she had two men on the cooking experience one man over 55 and a 20-something. The chef was able to adapt her presentation to cater to two palates. And for that, she was amazing; and the two men and tour leader bonded over food! Amazing culinary experience!
We had a great time - great food and an excellent guide. We made a few stops over 2 hours, each was great food. The rooftop bar was amazing with a great city view. The guide was really friendly, informative and knowledgeable about the city and the food. The pace was just right, kept moving around the city to each stop but never rushed. Highly recommend and will do this tour again.
Larisa, our tour guide, was amazing! Super friendly and knowledgeable about the history of Finnish food culture. She shared a lot about Finnish culture and language in addition to the delicious food we were eating. She is very knowledgeable, personable and fun. Would highly recommend starting your trip to Helsinki with this tour.
