The room was very disappointing, so small I couldn't set up an ironing board! TV was on the side of the bed. Very basic too (e.g. no coffee machine, no air conditioning). There are only a few tiny lifts for all guests, which means that you'll wait a long time! The staff are lovely and the hotel is well located, but the rooms are closer to about 3 stars. It's definitely NOT a luxury hotel! Nice enough rooftop bar, with a small glass of wine for 16 euro!
Landmark of the city on perfect location - about 100 m / 300 ft from Narinkkatori. Got smallest room on discount offer €102 vs €166 normal price without breakfast. Rooms need touch up (repainting, scuffs fixing on cubboards); to me €166/night sounds too much in current condition (even in Helsinki and building being national cultural heritage site).
I expected much more from such a famous 4-star hotel. While the property itself looks great, my actual stay was not enjoyable. The room was very noisy because the rooms are not very soundproof, and the cleaning carts in the hallway were all day there, as well as the cleaners making noise. I tried to change rooms but the hotel said they weren't more available... so they didn't solve the problem at all. The bed was uncomfortable, low quality linens, making it hard to get a good night's sleep. Sadly, it did not live up to its reputation.
Fabulous hotel in a great location. Very clean and cute rooms, delicious breakfast. The staff is really kind and knowledgeable. Their terrace bar is so cool - unbelievable views! Will stay there again for sure!
This hotel is unique . It has very friendly and helpful staff, excellent breakfast and great gym situated down town close to the railway station and very central. The building is very quirky as it is old but has a modern feel inside. Would not hesitate to stay here again
