Scandic Grand Marina

Family rooms were spacious and comfy. Better than average breakfast. Good, peaceful location. The night was otherwise quiet but the sound of closing doors of nearby rooms was very clearly heard inside the room.

I have always been happy there. I once even stayed there during a work trip for two weeks in cold finish winter. But I also enjoyed it for holidays. The breakfast is very good, the bar is nice. In general, the hotel always had the faint taste of luxury on everything without overdoing it. It is currently being renovated and Iiked the old interior design of the rooms more. But I still enjoyed my stay!

Nice hotel in a nice location. Staff were friendly and helpful, especially the gentleman checking in customers to breakfast. The room was cozy with ample space. Nice view of the cruise dock. My only complaint is that the gym was closed until 6pm to 11pm due to construction. That was important to us and it would have been nice to know in advance.

I stayed 4 nights here. The hotel is under some renovation, so it is somewhat inconvenient and looks messy. Pros: location! K-market is right at the corner. All the main tourist attractions are within walking distance. Cons: -Room service: not sure if this is their concept, but they merely made the bed, changed the towels and emptied the trash can. They didn't change the cups and glasses, they didn't restock the coffee and tea. -Renovation: most of the time we coped with the construction well, we understood the potential inconvenience it may cause, but starting work before 8am is unnecessary and unacceptable to me. -Parking: we understood that the garage is not available, so we had to park out car on the street in front of the hotel. Totally understandable that the spot cannot be reserved, but since we are the guests, the hotel could have offered discount on parking -Room upgrade: we were offered the option to upgrade the room due to renovation, but it was not for free. They could have offered it as compensation for the inconvenience caused by the renovation, instead of charging the guests.
