Friendly advice I really hope you take if you care at all about your vacation and mainly your sleep and back: DO NOT STAY HERE!! Have you ever been on a vacation and the hotel bed was so bad you wished the vacation was over? Cuz that will be Scandic for you. With box springs all loose cuz they did not change the bed in at the very least 5 years (the last time I stayed here, so I know), your back is in for a torture night where sleeping on the floor would be a luxury. They even have prepared for you a wooden plank in case the bed is too soft for you, but that’s not it—when a bed is comfortable and within standard, most people will be fine with it. I’m no bed snob, but there is a bare minimum standard this bed lacks to reach unless your baseline is sleeping on jelly, where every movement causes a tsunami (yours or your sleeping partner). At the end of the day, a hotel is a place to sleep at. Shouldn’t that be the first and foremost investment? I mean, the rest is nice to have, but a clean, comfortable space is all that really matters as a base. And that you WILL NOT get in Scandic, so please, for the enjoyment of your vacation, don’t book this hotel. P.S. If you don’t believe me, you can even see through the pictures in the website that the beds have a dome-like shape towards the middle where people sleep, and also the box spring is topped with the thinnest, most insignificant topper you’ll ever see.

Excellent location, 300 meters from the central station and the market square, our room was spacious and elegant, equipped with every comfort. Also wonderful were the two saunas, the magnificent breakfast and even the actual art gallery. We have loved everything of this fantastic hotel and we really suggest it for romantic couples, families and group of friends 'cos it's perfect for every type of travelers.
Warning for others: "The room is located on the Yrjönkatu side and has a peaceful view to the courtyard." means you have to enter the hotel from one side, ride an elevator, walk to another building and ride another elevator (1960s standard elevator btw) to get to your room. Couldn't change coldness of ac. Weird bathtub setup causes water everywhere.
A very good hotel in the very center of helsinki. Good clean and modern rooms. The breakfast is superb with a large variery of food. The hotel has a small fitness room and a good-sized sauna for guests. Great staff and everybody speak english well. A minor minus is the stairs where you can't get even with your keycard, which is a little weird since it's emergy exit route.
My favorite hotel in Helsinki by far! Very cozy rooms and warm modern furniture and lobby. The breakfast is also very good. You have a woffel bar, juice shot bar and lote more warm dishes and everything. The location is also in the top. Right in the city center! I absolutely love this hotel and you should try this hotel!
