Klaus K Hotel

We did have a fabulous 5 day stay at this hotel. The rooms were lovely, beds were so comfortable! Breakfast was good. Location was spot on for us. The staff in the daytime were very welcoming and helpful. We only encountered one member of staff in the evenings she was far from welcoming and very unhelpful.

Perfect location! We took the tram stop literally out the front door to get to Linnanmäki. We got a larger than average room, according to the floor map on the back of the room door. The room was huge by European standards. Breakfast was great, and the free toiletries at the front desk were a nice touch. This is a great use of Choice hotel points.

We were satisfied with the hotel, however, I must point out that the reception staff could be a bit more polite and friendlier.The rest of the hotel staff was nice and friendly, especially during breakfast. During our stay, it was not possible to open the window and air out the room because the ventilation system was running nonstop. When we asked the staff, they told us that unfortunately, that's just how it is and they couldn't help us.

Very good hotel in a great location. Very central to everything with three tram lines just outside the hotel. There are a lot of restaurants, musea and the harbor within a kilometer of the hotel. The room - skyloft with balcony- is very nice and quite spacious for Helsinki. The balcony is a nice place to sit outside, but unfortunately it has no cover for when it ruins. The bed was nice with a perfect balance between hard and soft, although one of the pillows was a bit lumpy. There is also a couch, minibar and tv. Wifi is available, but unprotected. The rain shower is nice, bur the regular one has no rod to hang from, so you either have to be very short or hold it. The toilet has a nice design. The sound proofing is quite good as well, as some guests played music on the balcony but you could hardly hear it inside. The breakfast has lots of options, mostly cold and tastes great. I just had it once so I dont know if they change things around. The room can get a bit hot on sunny days, even if it is just 15 degrees Celsius outside. There is cooling but it cant keep up. The room also has some very slight wear, but is clean. The hotel is also big on sustainability, so while daisy cleaning and fresh towels are available, you have to ask for it.
