5 days at the hotel, and I like to underline only the positive things because for sure they can improve the others. Positive is the location, very central and close to the best part of the city, it's possible with max 15 min walk to reach the core. Positive the restaurant, even if a little bit expensive. Positive the breakfast buffet. What I didn't nominate could be very much improved starting from the room cleaning

The most standout thing about this hotel is the distinctive design. The history of the building is highlighted throughout with an industrial theme everywhere. If you have stayed in a lot of Clarion hotels, this one might feel somewhat disappointing - most Clarion hotels feel very roomy and spacious, this one has smaller rooms and tighter spaces, which combined with the color theme and industrial design makes it feel more cramped. Location-wise it is very central both in terms of transport to other parts of Helsinki (tram and subway very near), and the Kamppi area in general has a variety of places to eat, drink and shop. There were several small things that took away from the overall experience. It is hard to place your luggage in the somewhat small room, especially as the fold-out luggage stand you typically always find in hotels were not present here. There was a note welcoming us to stay saying there would be a smoothie in the fridge as a welcome gift - however this was not in there, making the note work contrary to purpose. The breakfast area was somewhat crowded, despite having to select specific eating times in advance at the reception. In general though, it was a pleasant stay and the hotel in general can be recommended, and the beds were comfortable - which often is the most important part of any stay!
This was a very nice place to stay. The rooms were on the smaller side, but getting the balcony made it feel much larger and made the space more usable! Central location and close to everything you would want. One con: the sauna is only open in the evenings, during prime dining hours. We would have loved to use it more during our stay.
Located perfectly in town. The rooms are super comfy. The breakfast buffet was amazing with many choices. Our group of 11 were very welcomed by the staff. Shout out to Johanna for getting us checked in at 1100 pm when we arrived late
The smallest hotel room I’ve experienced. No space for luggage, no where to sit other than the bed. Bathroom tiny and like the room no space. This room must have been smaller than the standard room yet we weren’t informed of this and the price didn’t reflect this. Location was great, breakfast ok and dinner was lacking in options. Double check what room you are getting before booking
