Despite the small size - really a very nice place to spent some time with small children. Booked it with a discount so for me the price was appropriate to what you get. Nice local wildlife - great colorful reefs and friendly staff. Food was solid but really nothing special - but the price was justified and the kids meal lovely!

MY TRANSPOTATION MADE US TOO LATE FOR THE TOUR. We missed the tour as a result. Lo1cation looked like a good one missed.
We went this place with family and friends but realised the place is very small and aquariums are really not that big. Though my daughter enjoyed a lot but we feel its over priced. Not worth for money.
Went on a Sunday afternoon with my wife, daughter, and her two kids, 3 and 1 years old. The kids had a blast. I know that everything these days is getting more expensive, but in my opinion, this place seems overpriced. Good times for the kids.
This is a nice, little aquarium in Speyer. It is surprisingly well done. However, it is simply too small for what they charge. OK for small kids but teens will be through in less than 30 minutes. It is not spectacular enough so as keep up children’s interest for long. All in all, an average experience with a considerable price-tag.
It was an amazing experience. It was nice to see those beautiful differents creatures lives under water. My children likes it very much too. Thank you.
It's not Florida, obviously, but for a smaller scale more provincial attraction it delivered far more than expected. Loads to see and very friendly staff. It gets better the further you progress thru the exhibits. The visit lasted around 2 hours, which is time to see everything and good value for the entrance fee.
Wonderful experience! Every time happy to get back while our little one is growing. Perfectly organised with great selection of fishes, sea nature and animals. It is great to be able to visit again and again!
The adventure starts already at the entrance: everyone gets a paper goggle to dive into the sea. The animals are fascinating, the decoration perfectly fitting and the information you find is catchy and memorable, perfectly sliced for kids and adults. The staff is informed, extremely friendly and even better trained to answer all the many questions one could come up with. The great thing is, they are also not afraid to say: I don't know that! (which happens like once out of 1000 questions) which makes them even more likeable. In short, the entire adventure's highlight was the reef with the colourful fish but everything else as well. We love it and will always return for another lovely adventure.
Yesterday we were in the Sealife Speyer and it was just great. My favourite aquarium was the one with the little European terrapins. The best after that is of course coral city with a lot of energetic and colourful fish and some sea urchins. What children (and for sure some grown ups) probably like best is a little part beneath coral city where you can interact with some of the sea creatures that you saw before. Maybe you even find the special fish in one of the first few aquariums... Everything was clean and beautifully set in scene. If you get hungry from spending so much time in there (like we did) the restaurant is a good place to rest and eat. The prices might seem high at first glance but it is worth the food.
Oops, please forgive me, because it is possible that some words and sentences are expressed somewhat exaggeratedly or humorously, in case I could not think of any better/nicer descriptions, and please forgive me for the length of my remarks. I spent more time composing this text than on the three-hour visit itself. Nevertheless, you can surely read through everything that follows in a few minutes now - let's go: For years, the four of us had always wanted to visit Sea Life in Speyer. We first became aware of it over 10 years ago in a restaurant voucher book, and individual colorful photos on the internet also seemed sensational to us, meaning that as a visitor one could probably dive into huge marine worlds there, so that one would be constantly surrounded by sharks and corals, with bubbling water sounds like a walker deep down in the sea, where one would then almost not want to leave at all. If you look at the admission prices, they reinforce the impression that Sea Life must be something like a real sensation, as we actually believed ... - but oops, we were unfortunately largely mistaken there. We drove there by car yesterday for 1 ½ hours. Beautifully situated with a view of the Speyer marina, the entrance through the main gate reminded me, however, more of the access to a potentially former "vehicle registration office" from the outside (just kidding), but at least with a beautiful view of the great marina lying below, which almost reminded me of the harbors of Monaco. Well, when presenting our four QR codes in the entrance area, i.e., the tickets booked online via PayPal for 78.00 euros (without VR goggles), I also asked whether we could potentially book the "VR goggles" for 5.00 euros per person during the visit as well, which was confirmed. My three ladies, with whom I was, thought that we definitely wouldn't need these VR goggles because we would probably already see "enough," if we even "managed" to see it all. Secretly, I thought I could just ask a visitor if he could lend me "his VR goggles" for just a moment to see if such a supposed "3D view" would be worth it. However, there was then not a single visitor to be seen far and wide who was walking around with such VR goggles that I could ask... But oops, after about half of the walkthrough in this better "aquarium clubhouse" (just kidding!), there was a "corner" where I saw one (1) VR goggle hanging there, which one could then use if one had paid the extra 5.00 euros for it. Usage is, however, only possible there in this "corner"—so this unfortunately has nothing at all to do with "walking around" with such goggles to have an even greater experience—I was mistaken about that. However, my three ladies were also mistaken about whether one would even "manage" to see everything. Because on these two levels, you are through quickly, even if you were to stare at every aquarium for too long. And what about this supposed "centerpiece," this 8-meter-long "tunnel"? There is just one single 8-meter-long "tunnel," but it did not at all correspond to what we expected—no bubbling water sounds, no "vibrancy," and the "sea level" above us appeared to be perhaps just 50 cm higher, so a shark rarely seemed to want to swim from left to right above us in this rather "still water"—and we completely lacked any pleasant feeling of being "carried away" "underwater" in this tunnel. My precautionary tip for planned group excursions: One should first go into Sea Life all ALONE and get one's own impression with just ONE ticket as to whether it is worth coming back as a group, before experiencing disappointments with several people and high admission prices right away. Alone, the disappointment is then not quite as bad, and also not quite as expensive. After the walkthrough, you wander through a shop where you can buy things like stuffed animals and jewelry, and/or you can also go to a cafeteria before the exit. My recommendation: As a group, you should feel free to sit down in the inviting cafeteria. You simply need to exchange conversation over something delicious. This also makes the relatively "short" Sea Life stay a bit longer... We each ordered a large portion of French fries, which was really big enough, for approx. 4.50 euros each; ketchup and/or mayo as much as you want costs nothing extra! Furthermore, I would not like to conceal that you are welcome to go through all the "beaten paths" again and again for free as often as you like at any time, and in doing so, perhaps catch missed presentations and feedings that are said to be quite good according to other reviews. We had missed all the presentations, but we definitely did NOT want to go through this exhibition "again," so we just let it be. And the ladies wanted to go back to the nice jewelry shop after visiting the cafeteria to buy necklaces, etc., and were very enthusiastic about it. Furthermore, we learned that it was also truly the last time that we pressed a 5-cent coin—or rather, pulled it thin and crooked—in such a vending machine, for the price of 2.00 euros. Oh dear! The last thing: Since we also parked our car in the paid parking lot, due to a lack of other available parking spaces, we also had to shell out 6 euros in parking fees for about 3 hours—whereby the only payment machine can only be found at the very far end of the parking lot by the barrier. You can save yourself the walk—just drive to the barrier without a paid parking ticket, you can get out there, and pay. But payment of the parking fee at the machine can only be made by debiting with a bank card. Our conclusion is: If the admission price were half as much, i.e., 8.90 euros, we might have had lower expectations and would have been "satisfied," even with the parking fee. Also, there is nothing to complain about regarding the many aquariums; they are all very beautifully designed. This Sea Life is certainly in the upper middle tier when compared to other similar exhibitions, but definitely not in the top tier. At Sea Life, we were practically just missing that special "highlight" that was supposed to make Sea Life so special, which we had imagined based on various media or had been led to imagine, and which unfortunately could not be confirmed at all for us. But where else should one go if one is looking for something nice in the area? Yes, then of course you have to have been to Sea Life at least once, yes, definitely. Just close both eyes when it comes to the price, then it's nice! Anyone who can largely confirm our review can subsequently reconcile themselves mentally, for example, with a visit to a "textile discounter" or "non-food discounter" and make up for the admission price - because although you cannot find fish, turtles, starfish, rays, and sharks there, you can see and discover a lot of other nice things, and walk through it again and again, and will still practically NEVER be able to take in all the items, and all this, of course, with free admission. That's how you have to think, right? And that is exactly what we did after the Sea Life visit, which one could also call an "aquarium clubhouse visit" - our eyes spun much more here in amazement at the selection in such a discounter, and we even bought nice things for the children, so it was a successful excursion on a day off after all.
The digital displays in front of the tanks are very outdated, and with some animals, you could tell from their behavior that they are not doing well.
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ We had a truly wonderful visit to SEA LIFE! 🐠🪼🐙 It was incredibly beautifully designed, and thanks to the many different interactive activities, it was not boring at all. I found the touch station especially great, where you could carefully touch starfish and sea urchins yourself, among other things. 🥰 That was a really beautiful experience and made the visit something special. The various feedings were also super interesting! You could learn a lot about the animals, and thanks to the design of the aquariums, you sometimes really had the feeling of being underwater yourself. 🌊🐟 Overall, it was a wonderful experience – informative, varied, and at the same time really entertaining. You can tell how much attention to detail is in the entire facility. ❤️ We would love to come back and can absolutely recommend a visit! 🐠✨
The aquariums at SeaLife Speyer are nicely decorated and you get a wide range of national and international native aquatic creatures. Whether river, mountain lake, or the local and tropical sea - you get to see a bit of everything. The colorful exotics with corals, starfish, and the like are of course particularly spectacular - but the rest is also beautiful to look at. The tour can unfortunately be over very quickly: if you walk leisurely past everything, looking into the tanks here and there, you are done in 30 minutes. It is therefore recommended to take advantage of the feedings or explanations from the staff and, where possible, to sit down for a while and watch the calming activity. That is, however, unfortunately one of the negative points: there are not seating options everywhere and, depending on the number of visitors, it is not at all relaxing; you feel rather crowded. We were there on a weekday outside of the holidays, so strollers were allowed, which led to some traffic jams and tripping hazards in the paths. Our recommendation: Generally ban strollers, allow at most small buggies or baby carriers. The price-performance ratio might not be right if you look at the event alone. But a portion of the funds also goes into nature conservation, and therefore I find it acceptable again.
Sealife has gotten rid of many attractions, including the octopus that lived here. There are clearly fewer fish present. The new app is not bad; you can scan the animals quite quickly. But unfortunately, it is not completely mature and confuses fish. For children, the Sealife experience is still exciting and well done. Feedings and explanations are detailed and educational.
Great day. Especially for the granddaughter. She was very enthusiastic, as were we. .
Experiences Children's birthday We were today with 8 children for a birthday at Sealife. I must honestly admit that I was a bit skeptical at first (also because it is admittedly not quite cheap) but that took care of the moment we arrived at the cash register and were greeted very nicely. The two employees who accompanied our children as pirates through the treasure hunt were more than wonderful. I've rarely seen anyone treat children so fondly. The kids learned so much and couldn't get enough. Thank you very much for this! To put it in my daughter's words, "that was the best birthday I could imagine" We would book the whole thing again at any time.
It was very nice I liked it a lot. I liked the tunnel through the sea best. I think they should call one of their leopards sharks “Steve”.
Small but nice aquarium for children. Aisles are narrow and that sometimes leads to congestion around strollers. Starfish and cleaning shrimp stroke nice ending. We had free access with the Palatinate card, otherwise quite pricey. In an hour, you'll have seen it. Friendly staff, friendly staff.
Great game for the children with reward in the form of a gold coin. Super interesting explanations even for smaller children
All in all it was a very nice day. We also saw a feeding that was very interesting. For children there are also tasks to participate in, with a small price at the end.
Nice interesting lectures nice very friendly staff, courteous and decidedly child friendly
Great excursion Behind the scenes. Great team, help everywhere and answer even the smallest question. We think that every single animal is seen and protected as an individual. A lot of different fish, sharks and even water turtles that are then released with NABU if too big for the turtle nursery. Do you guys great
Super friendly staff who are very dedicated. It was very educational and we learned a lot new things. My child had bright eyes.
The entrance fee is above ground, with 90€ 3children, 2 adults, no family ticket. How are grandparents supposed to pay for this with grandchildren??? The sea animals are good to see, also interesting. Information at the large pool is well-intentioned, but completely incomprehensible for children. The employee has great knowledge, but talks so fast that even an adult, in addition to taking care of the children, hardly notices what he is telling. Please, please, this is a big minus point. After all, you go to sealife to impart knowledge. The sale is also an imposition!!! These prices are dizzying. It's downright outrageous!
We spent a super great day in sea life. And the feeding with explanations about each animal were great. And only the caressing of the starfish dreamlike and much learned about starfish.
The Sea Life offers a beautiful journey through the seas of this world. Lovingly designed aquariums and friendly, good-humoured staff really made our visit a highlight. A golf search for the children was a great idea and did not cause boredom. Unfortunately I have to deduct one point because at 73 euros for 4 people the Sea Life is in our opinion overpriced because for an extended tour you only need one hour.
With our children (3 and 6) we stayed in the Sea Life Speyer on a Saturday shortly after opening. We had no Waiting time (booking online before) and were warmly welcomed and received all the necessary information right away. The Sea Life Speyer is very well maintained, the children were happy to fill out and stamp the pirate treasure cards on the side. My daughter particularly liked the fact that she was allowed to pet the living starfish. The presentation at the North Sea Basin was also very informative. We were thrilled, even went through the entire exhibition twice (in principle you can stay there all day with the stamp on your hand) and also discovered something new in the pools in the second round. I was skeptical at first about the less than optimal Google ratings of the Sea Life Speyer, in hindsight I am very glad that we went there anyway and gained our own, very positive experience. Yes, it's not huge, but the staff are all very friendly, the exhibition is well maintained and we couldn't find any increased prices in the restaurant area.
Today we were with four adults and a teenager at Sea Life where we got a good insight into the underwater world. A lot of valuable information about the individual aquariums was signposted. Everything was interestingly decorated, lit and beautifully prepared for families. We were also present at the feeding of the sharks and rays, saw the corals, seahorses and small turtles as well as illuminated jellyfish. We really liked it. We got the cards at a lower price via the ADAC, which I found out earlier at Chat GPT. There are also cheaper tickets available through LIDL. Certainly there are other savings campaigns.
The SEA LIFE Trust is a registered environmental organization committed to protecting the seas and its fantastic inhabitants? Maybe so, but at the expense of the locked-up animals. In my opinion, this is pure flaunting and profiteering. Much too small cymbals and nobody cares if people knock on the windows. The suffering of some animals was not only visible, but also palpable.
Sealife Speyer Everything was already wrong when the online tickets cost 20,50 euros instead of 19,50 euros as promised, and for my granddaughter 16 instead of 15 euros..that was already a stick of money for four adults and one child...with the proviso to occupy a time window online..Sense of the time window in my understanding has the sense to unravel and control the crowd of visitors. Apart from that, I don't realize the point of stealing so much money from toddlers over 2 years old, i.e. a three-year-old, especially since the pools are designed so that they are not independently visible to these little ones, probably more for school children (there you should set the limit for free admission, i.e. pay admission from 5 or 6) and then there is also a sign on a normal working day before the engagement, "unfortunately no strollers allowed today". There we come back to the time window...it was absolutely no chance to look at anything in peace or at all. The icing on the cake was then the adjoining restaurant...there was practically nothing there. Children and parents who were looking forward to a portion of fries or a hot snack after the visit were told by a sign, "the cook was kidnapped".. apart from lax pretzels, nothing was to be got apart from coffee... Conclusion: Not recommended, pure chaos from the beginning and that completely overpriced... under no circumstances was the meaning of Sealife adequately conveyed here...this was more likely to be about making money at any cost unfortunately!! Too bad! Too bad! Too bad!
It was very informative and impressive I can only recommend. For children a very nice experience. Get a lot of information about the animals. Thanks to the great service team
The Sealife was a nice highlight for us as a family. It was really a very nice birthday trip for my daughter.
In itself, schedule a great exhibition about 1 hour.Explanations are always at 11:30 am at the ray basin or at 12 pm there is the big feeding. Due to the children it is there very noisy.and partly really quite crowded. It would be desirable if you would not touch the animals. It gives the children the impression that you can touch all animals.Looking is completely sufficient.
Was there with my grandchildren, they loved it. The whole aquarium left them amazed. In particular, they loved petting the starfish.
Very interesting for children. Everything is very well explained. Should definitely visit children. You can take home a lot of impressions.
Our 9-year-old daughter celebrated her birthday with her friends in SEA LIFE Speyer. The guided tour by a child-loving and great pirate in a species-rich underwater world was a huge fun for all children. The birthday table was lovingly set, the staff was very nice and helpful, the food tasted great to us all. The children will remember this beautiful day positively for a long time to come. I can recommend SEA LIFE in Speyer to all parents with a clear conscience. Thanks for the exciting pirate trip!
We were delighted with our visit. Remained with children aged 8, 4 and 3 for more than 3 hours at the scene. Too bad the explanations are only in German and English. Yet we are close to the French border. Very friendly staff and available. Only downside: the cafeteria does not allow picnics, which can be expensive for the whole family. I recommend.
We had decided spontaneously for it and did not regret it! We were there from 4pm on Sundays, so it wasn't crowded. Right at the beginning our little ones could feed fish multiple times, which was a great start! The fish and the atmosphere have completely delighted our little ones. Painting turtles, which were then projected onto a canvas, was really meeeeeegaaaaaaaaa. Then still in the large room the great entertainment of the employee. At the end they could also touch starfish and were even allowed to feed them. Also here was a super nice staff. Just great. Also the booklet for 3.50 € we liked a lot and of course the stamping stations and in the end a gold medal for everyone. Of course we were very lucky with the time and that it wasn't rammed full. But for not wanting to go in because of the price, it was really great and we were all thrilled. We were in for about 2 hours.:-)
Too tight, too loud and too crowded. Unfortunately, they did not adhere to the booked time quotas. There are some good approaches but overall far too expensive for the offered performance.
So my previous speakers have hit it quite well, that's the last snot!Prices too expensive,Infant we had to wear because stroller forbidden, you see more pools in the Köllezoo (pet shop)Pearls costs for 15 min time (that's highly appreciated) 2.50 (you can only pay with card)At the end of the tour is a huge room where you offer the children junk for expensive money (because you know the parents give in)I didn't because the whole was bottomless! After 2hrs drive I had to go to the Silent Place (I didn't do but stopped on the way back, also costs a usury price) In short, if you want to give away money to get in a bad mood since you are just right! The Technology Museum a few meters away would have been better
We were at Sealife for the first time last weekend and were really excited. Our 2-year-old son was fascinated by the choice of sea animals and was allowed to pet the starfish under the guidance of a friendly employee. As parents, we also refreshed our knowledge of marine animals and learned new things. A really well spent time for all of us! The staff super helpful and accommodating. We were also positively surprised by the Halloween decoration. Would definitely come back!
Great aquariums, pleasant atmosphere, just beautiful! Have fun with children great experience and many new experiences.
Spent more than an hour in the aquarium. Obviously if you do it without stopping it is very quick. The tanks are kept well and allow a good view even for the little ones. Interesting subdivision for different water basins. Beautiful tubs that surround you completely. Descriptions in various languages are missing. My grandchildren and I liked it. Price maybe a little high. Nice idea of stamps. For machines that sell gadgets..... Just say no!!!!
Totally beautiful. Here you really get to see something nice. The kids are pretty fast through. For me as an aquarist it was very nice. The aquariums are very nicely decorated. They really tried hard here.
Despite online ticket we had to wait The kids had their fun anyway The souvenirs are overpriced and a queue formed there again
Unfortunately, it's way too expensive for what you get bids. Unfortunately we also had to pay for our son who is two years old. Were also a bit disappointed as we were through way too fast.
Unfortunately, there are only 3 stars, 2 star deduction, for the ticket prices! So for being through relatively quickly at Sea Life, I find a day ticket!! for 20,50€ expensive for an adult . What I still find money is that you have to pay 11€ for children from 2 years. Really a pity that m it is so expensive!! In itself, the Sea Life is very great! And worth a trip. But I think there would be more or less admission for the prices. At least for infants up to 5 years old, children should be allowed in for free.
The Sea Life is quite nicely done, but I feel the entrance fee is a bit too high compared to the duration of the stay or the offered aquariums. More is not possible in this building from my point of view, as I have already felt the corridors a bit tight in places. I really liked the underwater tunnel, but the windows looked a bit worn on me. I was here again after many years and would also come back at a corresponding distance. Personally, however, I would not consider regular visits.
Beautiful aquarium, a great experience especially for the kids. Unfortunately there were renovations going on, so not everything was open to the public, but we were informed about this in advance via the website.
