Nh Collection Heidelberg

We had a nice corner room. The bed was comfortable. The over bath shower was ok, water pressure was decent. Very disappointed in the wifi speed and strength. The WiFi included is very poor and you have to pay extra to get decent wifi. We feel this is poor for 2026 in a high end hotel. good breakfast buffet.

Overall, the hotel is nice. The staff is welcoming and very helpful, the breakfast is amazing, and having an on-site parking garage is a big plus. But is it a luxury hotel? Not for me. A hotel's primary job is ensuring guests get a good night's rest with quality beds and bedding, and that wasn't the case here. I slept terribly: the mattress was rock hard and the pillows were flimsy, synthetic. If you weigh around 60–70 kg, skip it unless you're used to sleeping on the floor. I did ask the front desk if alternative pillows were available, but they had none. Just the same as what it was available in the room. Airco in the room did work but was quite noisy. As for the location, other reviews mentioned the distance to the city center; I didn't find it an issue. It is a bit of a trek, but the walk is pleasant. The hotel sits on a busy street with plenty of lunch and dinner options nearby. Didn’t feel unsafe in the evening - at 9-10 pm

Thoughtful pet hospitality and central location, but let down by room size The building itself is really beautiful, big and modern, and it enjoys a strategic location where everything in Heidelberg is within easy walking distance. Having the secure underground garage is also a great relief, even if the 24-hour rate is somewhat pricey. A special mention has to go to how they handle pets: it is one of the very few hotels that charges a dog fee and actually delivers real value in return. Finding a clean, proper dog bed and two bowls waiting in the room was fantastic. Most European hotels treat pet fees as a penalty rather than a hospitality service, so NH really sets an example here. The staff was incredibly kind, friendly, and attentive throughout our stay. Breakfast was another highlight: a really rich buffet that is genuinely inclusive of plant-based diets with plenty of quality vegan options, which I deeply appreciated. The major disappointment, however, was the room. At €345 per night (all surcharges included)—a price point on par with landmark properties like Berggasthof Königstuhl—you expect genuine comfort. We booked a Superior room, but the square footage was surprisingly tight. The dog bed barely fit on the floor, leaving very little space to move around, and even the bathtub was noticeably smaller than standard. I truly hope management takes this as constructive feedback. The service culture, pet care, and plant-based breakfast are wonderful, but the physical space of a Superior category needs to better reflect the premium price being charged.

We had a wonderful stay at NH collection Heidelberg. As well as a really comfortable room, I was really amazed by the incredible service. I managed to leave my AirPods in my room. The staff managed to track them down but also went to the trouble of shipping them to my next destination express delivery. Many thanks NH Heidelberg.
