You will enjoy a 2-hour ride on horseback up to the top of the mountain overlooking the island and looking into the valley at the waterfalls (seasonal). Then ride down the mountain to the ocean and ride along the ocean side (not a white sand beach) where the land and water meet. Enjoy an area in which you can trot or canter if you choose.
This was a magical experience. The horses were so beautiful and well behaved. The tour guide and people who helped out with the animals were all very kind and helpful. I felt safe and had a blast. Thank you, I hope to come back one day!!
This was mine and my daughters second time horseback riding with West Mauiit did not disappoint! Our guide Jessi was fantastic, he had great information that he shared with us along the way and made sure the entire party was safe and comfortable with their horse. We will be back!

I went with my best friend. It was a retirement gift to ourselves. We had such a blast. The Cowboys that helped us were all very knowledgeable and explained and showed us everything that had to be done. It was an amazing trip. Just a sidenote, the water is behind the pictures that you will take, but you do not go horseback riding on the beach. I would definitely try it again.
Amazing experience! The farm had so many fun animals! The horses were so well behaved and good hosts, they knew exactly what to do. The tour guides were fun, knowledgeable, and made you feel comfortable. This was so much fun! I’d love to come back and do it again. I will be recommending this event to everyone I meet!

Great guides, horses and views. There is a stretch that you can gallop if comfortable, otherwise they have an option to walk instead. They provided water and took your photo at one of the overlooks. The road is a bit windy getting to the property, in case anyone in your party is prone to carsickness. Overall an excellent trip and highly recommend!
Staff was great! Scenery was beautiful, however if you are expecting a ride near the ocean/on a beach and close to waterfall this is not the tour for you. You can barely see the waterfall because they are miles away and the ocean is from a distance at best.

Very enjoyable experience!!! The guides were attentive and focused of safety. At first I was a little nervous since I didn’t have a lot of experience riding a horse but as the ride progressed, it was a lot more fun and relaxing. They do a great job in accommodating all the different riders skill levels.

Incredible ride. Jesse was a great guide — taught us everything we needed to know, talked about the land the whole way, and kept the conversation going without it ever feeling like a lecture. He made sure we were safe from start to finish and still kept it fun. The trail through the West Maui Mountains and down toward the ocean was beautiful. Then at the end they let us run the horses about 100 yards. Such a rush. If you want a horseback tour that is scenic, well run, and actually memorable, this is the one. We would book it again.
What a spectacular way to experience the beauty of Maui! We had such a blast on the horseback tour. It is a must if you are designing what adventures to partake in, It was very safe, the horses were all so sweet and the people were very kind, helpful and good to their animals! Beautiful trail ride. Friendly and helpful staff. A good experience for anyone, even if you have no previous experience with horses. My oldest who is an experienced rider also had a great time!
Loved the facility and the people/staff were friendly. Wonderful views and perfect weather. However, my mom’s saddle wasn’t tightened/assembled correctly by the staff and she ended up falling off her horse along with the saddle. Staff wasn’t sure was to do but it scared my mom enough to not want to horseback ride again. I was also disappointed by the lack of sentiment by the staff when this happened. No apologies or discussion about it after. Just make sure staff double checks the saddle when you go riding. Unfortunately my mom had a negative and dangerous experience due to oversight on this.
My daughter did this horseback tour solo and absolutely loved it! The small group made the experience even better, and she ended up making friends along the way. The scenery was beautiful, the galloping spot was a highlight, and she had an awesome time. She would absolutely recommend it!
We have ridden horses before, but not in Maui, and our kids were younger. On this trip, our kids are college-age. The experience is also, I feel, dependent on your horse's personality and on comparing whose horse did what within your group. That always makes each experience unique and funny. I wish I had more pictures, but my horse wouldn't sit still. Lol. The views were spectacular, and it was our first time in the Maui mountains. But what was the cherry on top for this experience was the option of "running the horse!" I think my son was the first to raise his hand when we got asked who wanted to do it. My daughter did it as well. It was a very, very COOL thing to watch! The run experience for our group was up a hill. Those of us who opted out made it to the top of the hill and waited on the side for a few moments. Soon we heard the pounding of hooves and the others came in at full gallop!! My son was a close 2nd behind the 1st runner/rider. Thankfully, my husband recorded it! We will never forget it! We recounted the experience with our family members who will be going to Maui at the end of August, and they are changing their plans a bit to include this horseback ride. Mahalo, Travis and Jesse!!

It advertises that it is a waterfall and ocean tour but we didn’t see any waterfalls and we didn’t go to the ocean. Guides were great!
Entertaining and competent staff. You will ride horses that are rescue and/or retired Hollywood actors! All experience levels of riders are accommodated! Views are spectacular. Do not over dress, as trails can be dusty in dry air with high winds.
Guides were excellent and friendly. The ride was well organized from beginning to end. Horses were awesome and paired with appropriate riders. This is not my first ride with them and it won’t be my last! Thank you for a great experience.
Took my teen daughter for a morning outing while husband and son played golf. We had the BEST experience! The guides were great explaining everything, the horses were wonderful and easy to ride, and the views were SPECTACULAR. My daughter had no experience riding horses at all and GALLOPED on her horse at the end. She said this was one of the best experiences of her life. Thank you to the guides for a wonderful morning and providing us with memories that will last a lifetime!!
The horses were great and guides very nice. There are views of the ocean but not right on the beach. The waterfalls were very pretty. They let us run them once.

This was an amazing ride. We were led by experienced riders and our horses knew exactly what they were doing. No experience needed to have an excellent time seeing unimaginable views.
Highly recommend! Make sure to wear shoes/clothes that you don't mind getting dirty. Be ready to spot some deer or wild dogs. Horses, chickens, peacocks, a hog, sheep, deer and tons of cats there.
Amanda and Jesse were excellent guides on our trip. They were very patient with my wife seeing that this was her first time riding a horse she loved it!
This experience was fabulous! My daughter and I enjoyed our horses, Switch & Avatar. Be prepared for LOTS of hills. The waterfalls advertisement is a bit misleading. There is a scenic point where the trail ends where you can apparently see waterfalls from a distance. We didn’t see any. So, this was a bit different than what we were expecting, but it was so much fun that it really didn’t matter. Jesse and Amanda were great guides!

Amazing panoramic views of island, waterfalls, ocean! Very safe for first time riders, even let the experienced adventurous riders hallop in a portion on the trail. Friendly guides, very professional, all around wonderful experience! Highly recommend
As a NM State Senator, I travel all over the nation. I take the time to do a horseback ride everywhere I go. This was the most breathtaking views ever. This is truly paradise!! The other amazing part of the adventure was the staff. They were great to work with. They took the time to place you with the right horse. I would truly do this again.
An incredible experience. This was my first time on a horse and my wife’s second. We were very well informed on how to control the horse and felt very comfortable. Everyone was very friendly. The views were beautiful. Toward the end we were able to gallop our horses. This was the highlight of my trip and a very memorable experience. I can not recommend enough! Shoutout to Travis and Jesse they were amazing guides.

We had a great time. They took a lot of care in picking the right horse for the right people. Since I might have been a little nervous, they gave me the gentle horse. We had no problems. It was a beautiful ride and the were very experienced. Knew what they were doing.

The staff were friendly and helpful. The ride was up the mountain and down. At the highest point we stopped and the guides took individual group pictures with the mountain waterfalls in the background. One suggested improvement is to stop at various scenic views on the trail up and down so guests could take pictures astride the horses.
It was a lot of fun except for not getting to go down to the ocean It would have been nice to have been informed of that before we arrived for the ride
To be fair, they warn you that they are strict on a 215 lb weight limit. What they dont tell you is that they'll weigh you in front of everyone with a mandatory saddle bag, provided drinks, phone, wallet, keys, boots, jeans, etc. I was 13 over with all of this and they didnt let me go, so I got to hang with the chickens and pigs for 3 hours. Even if you're clearly under weight, they'll weigh you in front of the whole group like a high school wrestling meet. Ensure you have a vehicle with some clearance as they dont bother to maintain their road to the farm and have 12" -24" deep ruts. I guess it is an added 4x4 experience for free. Id say make sure you're closer to 200 pounds and leave your crap in the car or they'll weigh it.
