Had a fabulous time. Drinks were good, food was delicious and service was wonderful. Down side: it was dark when we got off the boat and it is very dangerous walking along the beach and going down the path by Lava Lava..........no lighting. And no lighting walking to the parking lt.
Crew were excellent hosts, the catamaran was very stable on the water. Loved the open bar and the food. Definitely a good time!
Superb. Gorgeous Hawaiian sunset from an incredible ocean view. Spacious, comfortable, catamaran. Crew were outstanding! Friendly, fun, helpful and experienced, safety conscious sailors. Outstanding experience. Very enjoyable.
Very fun. The only negative I would give the experience is that the directions on where to meet are not descriptive enough. We had a lot of fun though and the views were spectacular.
Captain and crew were amazing, drinks were great, sunset was beautiful. So glad we splurged on the experience!
Fantastic!!! Crew and captain were attentive and personable.. drinks were plenty and food perfect.. I would do this again and again ! This time we were celebrating our 32nd wedding anniversary and it was perfect .. go here if you can ❤️🌋❤️🤙🤙
Our catamaran cruise was beautiful and such a smooth ride. Crew was great and it even included a delicious dinner that was a surprise. We just expected snacks. Variety of cocktails were offered to meet everyone's tastes.
A great crew provided a great experience! Amazing sunset! I highly recommend you take this catamaran cruise.
It was a great sunset excursion. The crew was very friendly and attentive. We hopped on a small boat to get us out to the catamaran. There was plenty of seating and shade. They served cocktails and beverages and we had teriyaki chicken bowls. The drinks were great, company was wonderful. Would definitely recommend.
Beautiful sunset cruise that was a lovely book end to our Hawaiian vacation. Staff and captain were very pleasant and made the sail enjoyable and relaxing. Cruise offered drinks and a delicious dinner. The sail felt peaceful, comfortable, and not at all crowded.
From start to finish the experience was perfect. First of all the weather was glorious and the staff experienced! The drinks were assorted and tasty. My family and I enjoyed the chicken and rice as a simple meal. We were delighted to see dolphins and were educated on the type of dolphins they were ( which I unfortunately have forgotten). I do know they were small, had pink bellies, when excited and nocturnal. The boat was full and yet the crew made everyone feel at home. They even took pictures. 10 out 10 I recommend.
Beautiful cruise! Great, friendly crew. Good music, yummy food and drinks. All-around A+ experience. I would highly recommend arriving 15-20 mins early to location.
Highlight of our trip. Best way to enjoy a Hawaiian sunset. Lovely catamaran sail boat with a friendly and helpful crew.
The crew was amazing- so attentive and friendly. The food was a surprise and it was delicious! Definitely sit on the trampoline!!! The sunset was amazing - we had a great trip- I want to do that every night!
The crew was great. The sunset was perfect.
We had a beautiful relaxing cruise with family and friends. The staff are relaxed, fun and there to make your cruise wonderful with drinks, photos and great food. You always have what you need.
Beautiful vessel, easy smooth ride, wonderful service. We loved the trampoline sitting area & amazing drinks
The crew is quite welcoming and professional. They did a great job of getting everyone off the shore and into the transfer boat out to the catamaran. The Catamaran is very clean and the passengers are able to spread out. The captain was very aware of the weather and moved the boat immediately from under some rain clouds. The sunset was amazing!
Great experience; modern catamaran, efficient, knowledgeable and very likable crew; very convenient to Marriott Resort and Spa.
Great crew! Attentive, safety first, good food and beverages too! We actually sailed! The winds were just right to hoist the main and jib!
Great experience all around. The catamaran was new, the crew was awesome and a lot of fun, and the sunset view was fantastic.
It was fun for my family. Party of 15. We were provided with drinks, snacks and dinner (rice and teriyaki chicken). I would have liked it more if we stopped for a few moments in the ocean to watch the sunset, but it kinda felt rushed to head back. The sunset was beautiful! Captain and crew were nice and attentive!
This is OK. I think there’s better options I would do your homework.
Very impersonal. Snacks and food were Costco snacks nuts and chips. Dinner was pre-made in rice bowls (not too bad) but not what you would expect for $150+ pp. music genre was all over the place. Treated like cattle rather than guests. Waste of money. Crew was cleaning up the vessel before having us exit. No last call for drinks. No thank you for booking with them. We were docked back before sunset was even over. Witnessed employee filling up his water bottle with booze and angrily exiting the vessel distraught.
It was so worth it, the crew’s amazing and the Sunset was absolutely incredible. We even got a bonus by seeing whales and something you don’t get to see in person one of them breached 2 times., I can’t believe we got so lucky. The drinks were great and they even feed us Teriyaki bowls . 10/10 highly recommend.
Waste of money and time. We do some type of boating activity everywhere we go and this by far was the most boring, uneventful, disapointing boat adventure we’ve taken. The crew was nice but the vibe on the boat was awkward. We arrived to the boat for a sunset tour with drinks and food and found ourselves on a boat with no music sitting in silence for about 20 minutes waiting for the next group to arrive so we could get briefed and get going. This tour states it serves snacks and light bites but there was just a small bowl of rice and chicken and for a gluten free option a container of lettuce. This sunset sail was such a disappointment and would not recommend for the money.
Sunset cruise was great! However, directions to the departure point supplied by Viator was completely wrong. Viator’s directions sent us to the parking lot of a golf course , nowhere near beach were the cruise departed from. We almost missed the event. Get your act together, Viator!!
Nothing bad about the company or crew just the wind. Our last day in Hawaii and winds got extremely high so our cruise is canceled and refund awaits
Although not specifically designed as a whale watching cruise, it is always possible they may see some. Wow, we did and according to the captain the best whale watching cruise he has had all this year. We saw at least a dozen pods doing fin rolls, full breaches, blows, tale waves. Awesome! Crew was delightfully friendly, courteous, helpful, and informative. Ship accommodations were impeccable. The cocktails and light teriyaki chicken rice bowl was very tasty. Highly recommend.
Great crew! Nice drinks. Saw whales (but no sunset, just due to weather that is not anyone's fault!)
Thought ship great and fun time. However, very short time for the price. Food was just Mid. Did get to see a lot of whales. Not sure I’ll go again.
Keith and the crew were really really really really really really really really really really awesome
Crew was organized and worked hard for us to have a great experience. Everyone helped looking out for the whales which made it fun and lucky for us we saw many. Great pictures of tails, water spouts and one whale came next to our boat. WOW
Really nice sunset catamaran experience. Drinks and dinner an a sunset sail. Crew was great and crowd was low key. Brought the kids (14 and 11 - but noting there weren’t many or any? others under 21). I’m a vegetarian and I got a salad and the rest of the family got teriyaki chicken on white rice - food was better and more than what I was expecting.
The crew was fantastic! They kept the drinks flowing and made sure everyone was comfortable. They were very engaged with the crowd and were great about showing us the whales.
Beautiful views, crew was amazing, snacks and drinks were great! Were lucky to have a small group, and even see some whales!
Henry our bus tour guide with Aloha Sunshine was amazing, he made my wife and I’s honeymoon experience 10/10 with his interactive commentary. Definitely would recommend the tour with him.
Excellent experience. Crew was knowledgeable and very accommodating. Drinks were good. Chicken and rice dinner was a bit disappointing. Great trip though.
Great crew! Beautiful sunset with drinks! Perfect way to end the day! Easy to get to if you are staying in Waikoloa and the boat was great!
Highlight of our vacation. Beautiful scenery. Helpful, friendly staff. Not a bad seat on the boat. Great for a group.
Great evening experience. Sunset was gorgeous! Catamaran was great. Nice beverages. Comfortable ride and friendly people!
Great night in the water. Very attentive crew. Generous pours in drinks and we were offered food (chicken teriyaki with rice) which wasn’t noted in the offering so a bonus. Make sure you have good parking directions - the map on the description took us to the wrong place.
This was an amazing tour with a fantastic crew. Captain Rob, Nicole and Kuapapa(sp) were the best crew. They took amazing care of us with handcrafted cocktails and a nice little meal and great snacks. They even brought the dreams to us!! This is an awesome adventure as you spend time actually sailing with no motor noise. Captain Rob made sure we got great views of the sunset for both sides of the boat. The trip out and the trip back doesn’t take long. Just be aware they have a no shoes on the boat policy and you go out to the catamaran by boat. Loved it!!
It wasn't a full sunset (not anyone's fault it just didn't work out that way) but it was a fun experience and we got some cool pictures
Great sunset sail. Absolutely beautiful, calming and relaxing. The crew was extremely nice and courteous.
This cruise is accessed by a tender boat right off the beach. You have to leave your shoes off, and step up a couple steps to board the tender. It was pretty easy. It is a little bit of a walk from the parking area at Lava Lava beach club, which was fine on the walk there....coming back after dark was more challenging, make sure your phone has a flashlight! The lighting is horrible at the beach club, even with our phone light it was tricky finding our way back safely.
Pleasant sunset sail with cheerful crew. Sail location by Waikoloa Marriott. Good list of drinks, but (somehow) everyone was served a mai tai whether you asked for one or not. The trip was expensive, in my opinion. To save money book through the Hawaii Nautical website only, other "brokers" will charge more.
Enjoyable experience. The crew was fabulous. My only complaint there was an overcast and we couldn't see the sunset
The sunset sailing experience is far beyond expectations. It’s so relaxing sitting or standing on the deck with a glass of cocktail. The sunset is amazing, the whole crew is wonderful !
