Dive into the crystal-clear waters of Turtle Canyon to explore stunning marine life, followed by a relaxing, scenic sail offering unbeatable panoramic views of Diamond Head. Logistics & Boarding: Check-in: 30 minutes prior at The Outrigger Reef Waikiki Beach Resort (2169 Kalia Rd). Walk past the Front Desk toward the retail spaces. Parking: Validation provided for Embassy Suites Valet ($15 for 4 hours). Important: Barefoot boarding requires slip-on footwear. All participants must complete an online waiver 24 hours prior.
Very well run, short trip to actual snorkeling site, then when completed after an hour or so, put up the sails and sailed around for an hour. Best of both worlds. Crew was very helpful and courteous.
Pick up spot had to be moved due to canoe races. Other than that great experience.

Excellent tour! The guides were friendly and helpful in the water and on the boat. We were about to see many fish and a few turtles. Loved sailing after by Diamondhead ! Would book again!
We had a great day. All the family loved it. We spotted turtles and saw an octopus. They also were generous with free snacks and drinks and sold lovely cocktails for $5. Would highly recommend.

What a great experience we had. Everyone was so nice and professional, but still fun. We did see two sea turtles and they swam right next to us, was pretty surreal experience. When I visit Waikiki again would definitely do a tour with them again.
It was amazing and fun. The guys were great they were very helpful and made the experience extremely fun.
Undertow is quite strong but there was always a guide to tow you to where the group was. I saw 5 turtles, and the water was very clear.
This experience was so disappointing. The boat ride was described as a relaxing experience around diamond head. The captain was going so fast on the choppiest water and everyone had to hold on for dear life. I asked to speak to someone and no one has responded. It’s been a week. Skip this!! The tour guides were also quite rude. Never again

This was a fantastic fun way to snorkel with the turtles and see a variety of fish while snorkeling. Staff were super friendly and helpful. All gear was supplied and after snorkeling 🤿 it was lovely way to sail around and see Honolulu from the water after. We had two adults and two teenagers (13 & 15). All had a great time.

We booked this as a last minute activity for our last day in Waikiki. From booking to boarding everything was seamless. All 3 kids (19, 15 & 11) all loved the snorkel and the sail and the kids loved jumping off the side at the end of the snorkel. The guides were so helpful and friendly. Well worth the price plus we saw turtles, a Ray and so many tropical fish

The kids had a great time enjoying both the turtle dive and the sailing. The latter was great as it was bit rough and they were able to sit in the net at the bow and get soaked. The crew were friendly and helpful and keep us plied with free soft drinks.
Great crew who were very helpful. Great experience for the kids with up close and personal with turtles and fish. An hour under sail with riding in the bow netting with lots of splashing. A must do for all.

I had a wonderful afternoon on the Holokai Catamaran turtle cruise. The ocean was pretty choppy, but the crew was incredibly kind, helpful, and made sure everyone felt comfortable and taken care of. Snorkeling was a bit quiet for turtles that day, but the team pivoted and took us on a cruise afterward — and it turned into the highlight of the trip. We got to see whales (we even followed one for a bit), and the crew was very respectful and intentional about giving everyone a great view. We also ended up spotting a turtle, which was the perfect ending. Great value for the money, a fun way to spend an afternoon in the sun, and a genuinely friendly crew. Highly recommend!
It was amazing. The people that ran the outing were caring and kind. I felt safe when our family snorkeled. It was truly a beautiful adventure.
You get on right from the beach. No worrying about finding the pier. The crew, Captain Ryan, Cole and Aza, were super helpful and patient. We saw lots of fish and 5 turtles. We had some extra time and cruised out to check for whales. We ended up seeing a couple of whales breaching! Thanks for a great sail.
We had a fantastic time. The crew was great, everyone was very friendly and attentive. The dive portion was neat but a bit strenuous for those with little kids. My son is 10 and he did great but my girls, 8 and 5, it was a little more than they could handle. That said, we got an awesome up close view of a turtle and countless fish. The snorkeling was a lot of fun but in my opinion the sailing itself was the highlight. It was just an awesome experience getting to be under the power of the wind and looking back at Honolulu and Diamond Head. Really unforgettable. It was my personal highlight on this Hawaii trip. We enjoyed it so much we were tempted to book another sunset sail but we didn't seem to find the time. Great experience, highly recommend.
What truly stood out was the professionalism and skill of the entire four-person crew. From start to finish, they were organized, knowledgeable, and clearly very experienced, making everyone feel safe and comfortable in the water. The snorkeling itself was fantastic, with great guidance and respect for the marine life. On the way back, I unfortunately became seasick, and this is where the crew really went above and beyond. Their response was marked by genuine kindness, calm reassurance, and practical help—not rushed or dismissive in the slightest. They checked on me, helped me get settled, and made sure I was okay until we returned, which I was incredibly grateful for. That level of care made a huge difference and turned what could have been a rough ending into a reminder of how thoughtful and professional this team truly is. I was so appreciative of their compassion and would absolutely recommend this tour to anyone—especially if you value a crew that truly looks out for their guests.
We went on the Turtle Canyon snorkel adventure and it was absolutely incredible. The crew didn’t muck around, even getting in the water before us to make sure we were in a good spot to see Turtles. Everything was organised and efficient so we got the most out of our time in the water. The team were so helpful, friendly, and accommodating to everyone on board no matter your snorkelling experience. They made sure those who were nervous in the water felt looked after, and they were even attentive to those feeling a little seasick. The complimentary water, soda and snacks were amazing plus alcoholic drinks for only $5, definitely the cheapest bar on the island!! The whole experience felt fun, safe, and well run. I’d honestly recommend Holokai Catamaran to anyone visiting Waikiki and wanting a memorable snorkel trip with turtles!
This was a last minute decision my wife and I made. It ended up being one of our favorite parts of our entire Hawaii trip! The crew were absolute rockstars and made the whole experience great. We got to see some turtles up close and got great videos with our GoPro. The last hour of the sail was a cruise. I would highly recommend to anyone staying in Waikiki. 100% worth the cost. The boat was not crowded either. All around just an awesome time on the water!
We saw three turtles up close while in the water and two more from the boat, the crew was great and the weather was lovely.
Very nice guys, perfect organized but yet very relaxing once in a lifetime experience. It is a bit a crowd on the spot, but turtles are there.
My daughter and I had a great afternoon with the guys on the boat. Alec was great spotting out the turtles for us and I would highly recommend taking this tour. Just a chilled afternoon. The turtles are just so beautiful. Only downfall, lots of other boats in the area trying to find turtles so was rather packed.

OMG! Our experience was totally awesome! Friendly staff, sodas, awe inspiring ocean waves. This was our first time snorkling in the ocean, and we can't wait to do it again. I felt like I was bursting with happiness🙂

You should know that there are lots of turtles to see. Also, you must wear a flotation vest that was provided. You must stay pretty close to the guide in the water with you and aren’t able to snorkel around beyond the guide. The water was pretty rough when we went, so fighting against the waves was a constant piece of the adventure:) We enjoyed it and would choose it again for a first time experience. Our guides were wonderful and even showed us a sea urchin that we could hold as well as showed us an octopus attached to one guide’s chest. They were also very informative about the area. We took a boat ride afterwards and if you get seasick, bring something with you to calm your stomach. They do have buckets just in case:)

We stayed at the Outrigger Reef and researched a snorkel/sail tour- couldn't find one that really trusted (first time snorkeler). Price was so reasonable (20%) and the staff was so knowledgeable and made me feel comfortable- staff was right in the water finding turtles, fish, marine life to enhance our experience. 100% recommend- we will be back and book through them!
This was a lovely outing! The crew was fantastic in being helpful, thorough with their instructions, and checking on everyone. Their were a couple families with small kids on board and the crew was great at meeting their needs- giving extra attention while getting ready to snorkel, helping them out of the water, helping the kids get their snack wrappers in the trash if parents’ hands were full. Very thoughtful crew and the sailing was so fun
What a great experience! The crew was very friendly, attentive and well prepared. They told us a bit about marine life and provided clear instructions for the snorkeling. They encouraged questions and made sure we weren't thirsty or hungry throughout the experience. The boat was spacious and we had a small group, allowing us to move around and enjoy the experience. The snorkeling was nice with lots of fish and a few turtles, two crew members went with us and helped us spot some marine life. The 1h is more than enough to enjoy the reef. Unfortunately, every tour company goes to the same place, so it was a bit crowded and difficult to swim and explore the reefs. The sail part of the experience was also great. There's something really soothing and energizing about moving with the wind through the waves. The sail allowed us to see Honolulu and Diamond Head from a different perspective which was super nice. we got some great memories (and great pictures).
We had an amazing time snorkeling Turtle Canyon and cruising around Diamond Head. The crew were wonderful! We saw two large sea turtles while cruising out and back and several smaller ones while snorkeling. Thanks to the crew for making this experience wonderful!
The crew was fabulous. Friendly, fun, professional and knowledgeable. Saw 4 turtles despite the "crowd" of other snorklers we shared space with at the canyon. This is my 3rd trip on the Holokai and it's always fantastic.
Great crew.very safe and well trained. Didn't see a lot of turtles but many fish. Free snacks and soft drinks. Overall a do not miss trip while in Waikiki.
We took two catamaran trips. One on the Mai Tai ($49) and this one on the Holokai ($81). The Mai Tai trip was a trade winds sail of 90 minutes. The Holokai trip was a combo snorkel/sailing trip spanning 2 hours. Enjoyed both of them even though we didn't snorkel. That segment of the 2 hour session was about 30-40 minutes with the boat anchored. If you don't plan on snorkeling, take your Dramamine beforehand. Beverages and snacks were available for purchase on the Mai Tai, but the only thing free was the wind in your hair. The Holokai trip included soft drinks, water, and snacks with adult beverages available for purchase. Only saw a few turtles during the Holokai trip. They only come to the surface every 20 minutes or so. You need to snorkel to view them hanging out underwater.
Crew is amazing!! Each one of them was friendly, welcoming and they always made sure everyone was good and happy 😁 diamond head skyline is impressive and amazing! Only downside of the experience is that the turtle point is extremely crowded

Great catamaran ride on the ocean! Crew was awesome. We took a lot out f pictures from the deck. Smirking was fun and we did get to see about 4 sea turtles and a few schools of different types of fish. Best part was riding in boat.
