Waikiki: Turtle Canyon Morning Snorkel & Sail From Beach | Oahu

Really nice ride on the catamaran. Saw lots of turtles and fish and then the sails were set and we had a wonderful trip to diamond head and back.

We had a great day getting out on the water on this fabulous catamaran! We did see sea turtles, as promised and some other fish. The staff did a great job keeping us safe by swimming with us in the water and being attentive to our requests. I enjoyed the post snorkel sail towards Diamond Head. Getting on and off the boat was easy too. The only thing I wasn’t crazy about was snorkeling with dozen(s) of other tour boats and hundreds of swimmers in the water at the same time. Was hoping it would be more private. Wasn’t a fan of banging into other swimmers, but I guess everyone wants to see the marine life!

10/10 recommend. We saw so many beautiful fishes, the thought of being out in open water like that kept me up all night just fretting what was waiting out there🤣 but there were other boats and our own operators were trained and alongside us in the water so I felt super safe. The tutorial and education on equipment was super quick and easy. There was a pretty good-sized group but felt like an individual experience. We got to see a turtle and were able to snap a couple photos of him just living his life. The drinks and drive at the end was a great unwind. It was a great ride, def want to do it again with the same crew of course. Can't imagine booking with anyone else.

Saw lots of turtles and beautiful fish. The sail afterwards was beautiful. Whole experience was fabulous. We would do it again. Highly recommend!

Family of 10 went snorkeling together , several for first time. Captain Ryan and crew :Mike, Kevin and Abbie were all great. Patient and communicative - they helped us all get into and out of waters safely , view underwater wildlife - swimming with sea turtles and holding starfish was fun experience . During sail time we had more fun viewing pods of dolphins. Great family excursion.

We had so much fun on our turtle tour in early August 2026. We took the 8am tour. The meeting spot is in the parking lot next to the boat slip. There are no signs or a storefront so just go where Google Maps takes you. It’s the right spot! It’s a short 15 minute sail to the snorkel spot. The water was calm so there weren’t any seasickness issues, thankfully. The crew provides a flotation belt (or life vest if you prefer, a snorkel, and fins). We sailed with Captain Jamie, Xavier, and Jalen. They were great! We saw so many turtles! Probably at least 15 or 20. Being that I had only ever seen one turtle in the water in my life, this was a huge improvement! Everyone in my family had a great time and we were so happy to see so many turtles. We highly recommend the Pink Sails crew.

Awesome trip! The guides were super friendly and had all the gear for the snorkel. We saw amazing fish and several turtles. Had about an hour to snorkel then Enjoyed a beautiful sail with complimentary snacks, drinks, and $5 cocktails. Highly recommend!

The overall experience was great. All of the staff and crew were so nice and knowledgable and it was such a great time had by myself and my family. I would 1000% recommend this to anyone coming to Oahu.

We were on a large family trip with 17 people, and they easily accommodated all of us. Extremely friendly, and provided a really fun adventure for all of us. We saw over a dozen turtles which was awesome! Would book again for sure!

The crew was fabulous from start to finish. They educated us, attended to the needs of everyone on the boat, and also all made sure we had a fun and exciting experience. We so many sea turtles! At one point, we could see eight at the same time. I highly recommend this. We ended up booking with Holokai after a previous tour company canceled on us at 9:30 PM for a 7:00am tour the next morning! It ended up being a blessing.

Our journey was absolutely perfect! We took the short walk to the catamaran, climbed aboard and made a short trek to the Turtle site. Once everyone was in the water, we swam a very short distance to discover one very large sea turtle popped up to the surface. One in our party unfortunately got a little seasick and returned to the catamaran where she was well accommodated. Our sea buddies aka “life guards” were knowledgeable and friendly. We were able to also swim with the fishes but not in ominous way….just a large variety of fishies that came to hang out and see who was in their home. Once we all returned, the sails came out and we just did some chill sailing past Diamond Head before setting sail back to shore. The crew was outstanding. If I could give more than 5 stars I absolutely would. There were little ones out there out swimming some of the adults so it’s absolutely a family friendly adventure for all ages.

My Niece and I had a wonderful time! The crew was awesome and made us feel safe and comfortable. We first went out and swam at turtle canyon which had turtles (of course) and a thousand fish swimming around! We got some really cool videos of this! After, we relaxed and sailed for a while enjoying the cool breeze of the oceans and the sights of Waikiki coastline. I highly recommend!

The guys were great and friendly ! The snorkel spot was crowded on the 9am with others there that shouldn’t have been. They made the call to take a little ride and wait, which I appreciated. Once we did get in they were helpful to locate some turtles. There were only 2 when we went, but happy we were able to see some. Plenty of fish though. Would recommend them to others though!

What an amazing experience. We headed straight to Turtle Canton and got in the water. I saw 4 turtles but there were many more. I was just not quick enough to see the others. Fish were plentiful and the turtles just go about their business. The guides in the water from Holokai Catamaran kept an eye on us all and pointed out turtles when they surfaced. How they knew who we all were was amazing. Service on the catamaran was fab. Drinks were readily available. The crew were professional and polite at all times. They even went round taking pics of you and your party. We went for a sail up and down the Waikiki coast after the snorkelling so it was great to be on the sea. I would totally recommend this trip. It provides great memories of your time in Hawaii - thank you Holokai Ohana.

Was lots of fun! They do provide essential oils to help with motion sickness. Our guides were great and we saw quite a few sea turtles. We did the 9:00am tour. We had plenty of time to snorkel in the water and afterwards we sailed towards Diamond Head. It was a great experience.

The entertainment was excellent, and the food was very good I would recommend this luau It’s a definite for Hawaii

We did the early Turtle snorkelling cruise on Holokai yesterday (Saturday 9/5/26). As we are guests at Outrigger Reef Hotel, it was very convenient to be able to book the tour from the convenient shop in the Lobby. The lass there was able to give us great information on the tours available, and we were able to get a discount as we were hotel guests. The tour was amazing. The weather was perfect - no wind and ideal conditions. We got to see many turtles with the guidance of Aslin, who was a great guide in the water. The boat was clean and well presented, it was well organised with snacks and beverages. The provided safety equipment and briefing gave us peace of mind, and the provision of snorkelling equipment was very good. We enjoyed the sails being hoisted for a nice cruise experience. Boarding and disembarking the vessel was so easy and close to our accommodation. Thanks to the 3 very personable and able staff who were aboard to make it such a pleasant morning. I have no hesitation in recommending Holokai Catamaran widely

This was an amazing experience 10/10 if I could rate this higher I would. The crew is unbelievably amazing they went out of their way for everyone on the boat and made sure everyone was comfortable and okay. No sea sickness at all it was very smooth and comfortable

Had a great experience! My wife did get sea sick, but the staff was so very helpful and attentive to her needs. The boat was very nice and clean. We saw a lot of turtles and marine life. I would not hesitate to use them again!

A fantastic morning on the boat, saw some turtles and some very pretty fish. Cocktails were tasty, the guys on board were lovely and very friendly and helpful. Great trip!

The crew could not have been nicer and the boat was clean and comfortable. Saw lots of turtles and fish. The snorkel guide Abby was great. Lots of free snacks and nonalcoholic drinks on board or a paid bar if you wanted it. On the 9:00 trip one of us lost an Rx mask and snorkel getting on the boat. Miraculously, on the 12:00 trip Abby recovered it and texted us that we could pick it up late afternoon. Really beyond nice of her.

The nicest people. Saw turtles. Sailed a little bit out afterwards and it was beautiful. Nonalcoholic drinks free. Even gave me prescription glasses goggles. Took our photo on the boat. Arrive 20mins before departure, I missed that instruction and had to hurry. Totally worth it.

I had an excellent experience! The crew was amazing I didn't feel out of place being the only alone person with a couple of families. The crew did great at explaining things and keeping it safe. They also did great at making it fun playing great Tunes and just really providing a wonderful experience. We also saw a lot of turtles 15 or so! And two whales!! It was the highlight of my week in Waikiki

The crew was amazing! This was my first time snorkeling and I felt very safe the entire time. They had snacks and soda/water available (included) and other drinks available for a small fee. There is a small bathroom on board if needed. The included snorkel, fins and life jacket were in great condition and very clean. Some of my family got motion sick unfortunately but the crew handled it with care and grace. Highly recommend this excursion!

If you have sea sickness or motion sickness DO NOT TRY.They did not warn us about this, and there were several families who were puking! Even though half of the boat sickness, they took forever to take us back to shore. But overall, the staff were really nice and they handed out water water to everybody, even though they didn’t ask.

My partner and I had such a fun time! We saw so many turtles and other cool fish and the staff was very friendly. The snorkel was followed by a coastal cruise which very enjoyable. This is a great excursion for the whole family.

We had a wonderful time on this Turtle Canyon Snorkel Adventure. First hour was spent snorkeling, lots of fish and turtles, very helpful staff in the water with us. Then they put up the sails and we sailed away for the second hour, saw a pod of spinner dolphins, and had great views of Honolulu and Diamond Head. Pure fun. Staff was friendly and made sure that we had a relaxing and entertaining time on the boat. Highly recommend ! (this is our 4th time on this tour)

Great crew. They were very nice, informative and funny. Chase was our snorkeling guide and he was great at pointing stuff out. It was a lot of fun!

Easy going, knowledgeable and professional staff providing an awesome activity. We thoroughly enjoyed diving with the turtles and reef fish in the turtle canyon just off Waikiki. Snacks, water and softies provided as are goggles, snorkel and flippers. Alcoholic drinks available for purchase which we enjoyed on the open water sail after the dive. We highly recommend Holokai Catamaran to all.

Amazing team and very good crew that were very helpful and were so friendly. Equipment was good quality and clean. We got to see turtles and experience a tour of the island. There is a bar on board and a glass of champagne for 5USD must be the cheapest place in Hawaii.

Wonderful excursion- the guide and team were helpful every step of the way. I loved seeing the turtles up close and fully enjoyed the sailing ⛵️ portion of the trip. What a great way to experience the view of Waikīkī from the water while enjoying the warm ocean breeze. Would highly recommend this tour!

Fantastic outing for our family. We all enjoyed the catamaran ride, snorkeling with the turtles and the sailing adventure. The staff were excellent, friendly and helpful. The meeting place at the Outrigger was easy with a couple minute walk to board the boat. The boat was clean and the snorkeling equipment was very clean and new.

We had so much fun we came back the next day for another sail. Staff was incredibly kind and knowledgeable. Boat was beautiful and well kept.
