Waikiki Turtle Snorkel And Sail On Hawea Catamaran

This was a wonderful snorkeling experience. The crew was great, very informative and very thorough on there safety talk. We saw quite a few turtles in our time in the water. The water was a bit cloudy but the turtles were close enough to see clearly. After the snorkeling we cruised out to Diamond Head to get a great view of Diamond Head. I would sign up for this excursion again if I come back.

The whole experience and the crew were on point- 10/10! Our organization teaches organizations about customer service/customer experience and this group was solid! We swam with some turtles, saw some dolphins…exceeded our expectations! Highly recommend! Also so convenient, we walked from our hotel right to the boat!

Unfortunately after following the directions to the meeting spot on the beach one hour early, we missed our tour. I would like to hope there was just a mistake in the instructions. That being said, we were very disappointed to not be able to get a refund of any amount. This is the activity I was most looking forward to!!

We saw so many turtles and so many fish! The crew was amazing and the whole experience was fantastic! I highly recommend this to anyone visiting Hawaii. Me and my wife thoroughly enjoyed ourselves on this 2 1/2 hour trip. absolutely fantastic!

Our guide in the water was fantastic. He educated us on the types of fish, the reef, and turtles. We saw plenty of turtles! The sail was amazing! The bartender was friendly!

The tour operators were courteous and efficient. They were also ON TIME. Please follow the instructions regarding arrival at the pickup spot. We reserved the 11:45am slot. The crew had checked us in, provided us with instructions, and had all 40-something of us boarded BY 11:45am. While the catamaran had a lower deck, it was reserved for acquiring beverages and snacks. There was a bathroom down there as well. We all sat on the upper deck or laid on the netted deck, fully exposed to the sun. Bring a towel or a wide brimmed hat, and wear sunglasses. You will be exposed to direct sunlight the entire time if you are not on the side that provides shade from the sail. We received clear and simple instructions from our crew to make the trip safe and fun for all. Julie, Katelyn, Captain Kai and the rest of the crew were funny and prepared. They also played great music that was mindful of the various age groups on the tour. I must note that you should prepare yourself to be around a lot of folks at the snorkeling site. We arrived to a space filled with snorkeling tour boats. My husband managed to see several sea turtles but came back to the boat a little early due to the number of people in the water. I don’t know if another approved site has been located, but this seemed to be the only one in the area. That said, other snorkelers by and large were kind. Once onboard, the crew took us a little further out to sea and cruised along the shoreline before returning to the pickup spot. This was a great opportunity to take photos of the beautiful scenery. Would we do this tour again? Absolutely. And if you choose this excursion, please leave a tip. The service the crew provided was stellar and in this economy, every little bit helps.

Let me start with this: I HAD AN ABSOLUTE BLAST with Dez, Julia, Tommy, and Captain Carlos!!! This was my FIRST TIME snorkeling AND being out in open water, so I was equal parts excited, nervous, and ready to mind my business on the boat. But this crew made me feel so comfortable, safe, and excited to get in that water! And BABYYYY... once I got in?! I was a whole ass underwater Natty-Geo correspondent. I saw a needlefish, a little "chub" fish, AND a fish that looked just like DORY!!! I was swimming around like, "OH MY GOD, LOOK AT THAT!" every five seconds. LOL. Dez, Julia, Tommy, and Captain Carlos were honestly the dream team. Fun, welcoming, patient, gorgeous and just genuinely good vibes from beginning to end. They made my first snorkeling experience feel like a little Waikiki adventure I'll be talking about for a LONG time. And before anybody comes for my pictures... I PROMISE I HAVE BETTER PHOTOS!!! They're just living their best life on the GoPro right now. Hehe. Captain Carlos, Dez, Julia, and Tommy -- THANK YOU for making my first snorkeling experience so memorable. My husband and I took this tour when we were in town and decided last minute we wanted to snorkel with turtles. The team was so nice, offered to take pictures of us, and made sure we saw turtles. The cocktails and sailing after snorkeling was very enjoyable. I also appreciated the Waikiki pick up so we could walk from our hotel. Worth every penny.

Me and my friends booked this tour. We paid over $709 for this activity. Meeting spot was 11:45, we arrived 11:44 and it was already in the water leaving. $700 down the drain. And they didn’t answer their phone either.

After watching a few of the catamarans leaving directly from Waikiki beach, Hawea caught my eye, so I explored further with our hotel on their thoughts for a snorkel trip to Turtle Canyon. I’m so pleased we booked! A beautiful and clean vessel with a tip top crew … Bella ( captain), Cameron, (1st mate) Sophie and Phoenix made every guest feel safe and comfortable. Snorkelling gear was great. Saw quite a few turtles and Cameron showed us a place they tend to hang out to watch them from above. He also gently retrieved a small octopus from the ocean bed to show us - an added bonus before the critter swam off. The trip back to shore was enhanced with the sails in full flight, gently sailing the sea to Diamond Head with great tunes and the opportunity to enjoy a cocktail (only $8 for a great Mai tai!)… surely it was 5 o’clock somewhere 😆. We also loved the use of the pu (seashell horn) to alert swimmers of the vessels departure and arrival to shore. There’s lots of operators to choose from but you won’t go wrong making Hawea your choice… we plan to book another one of their tours before we leave … Happy Hour or the Sunset cruise looks very tempting!

It was incredible to see the turtles swimming around. We were cautioned to back away & not approach the turtles, so we did the best we could. Sometimes they just swam at us. I especially love sea turtles, so this excursion meant a lot to me.

We did the turtle snorkel activity and it was such a fun time! The crew was great - we had Cameron, Carlos, Julia and Sophie. They were energetic and friendly and did a great job explaining how to use all the equipment. Would definitely recommend to anyone visiting Waikiki, even if you haven’t snorkeled before!

Went out today, pick up was easy, boat is very clean and comfortable. Spotted dolphins right was we got on board! The crew was very friendly and helpful, due to high surf the water visibility was non existent. I’m an avid snorkeler excepted more but that’s nature. We saw two turtles some fish. We left “turtle town” and sailed with wind only that was the highlight of the trip. Loved the sailing afterwards and

Book this one! All female crew was the best! Very accomplished and accommodating. They offer a selection of cocktails, soft drinks and home made cold brew. The turtle whisperer delivered! She was out there on a surfboard pointing them out. We saw plenty. The boat is new and beautiful. I love sailing on the open nets. I did 4 sails in Hawaii! This was the best!

Friendly and professional staff! As snorkel guide, Dez actively alerted us to a variety of tropical fish schools, coral, starfish, and turtle flotilla. Clair was an expert sailor and thoughtful bartender who circled the vessel multiple times asking patrons their drink preferences. Though his name escapes me, we felt 100% safe with Captain who ensured everyone had a great time. Would definitely recommend!

Captain Carlos, Cameron, Des and Kaitlyn were awsome. They were fun, and also made safety a first priority. Very catering to needs when a passenger had question or was not feeling well. They made sure we got to see the turtles and fish while keeping us a safe distance to our two life guards. The sail after was amazing with great views of the shoreline. Would definitely book them again.

MAGNIFICENT! Beyond grateful & happy with the most kindness, welcoming, & family-oriented energy. No intimidation whatsoever, neither felt embarrassed in my bikini. Holy grail, I booked the top 10 things to do in Honolulu from Kualoa Ranch to etc … This event out-beat them all. 120% is a must. It’s an event you think you don’t need like putting on sunscreen in Hawaii but funner! What a blast, the definition of a true vacation!

Great experience. We took the catamaran about 15 minutes from the beach to snorkel at Turtle Canyon. There were guides in the water that helped point out turtles and fish. We were first time snorkeling and they gave a great explanation about the equipment. We saw lots of turtles and fish. We snorkel out 70 minutes. You could go on and off the boat if you wanted. Then we did about an hour water cruise along the shore of the island. We relaxed and had great music. There was drinks to purchase if you wanted. Highly recommended!

Must do! Turtles are not bothered by tourists. Turtles mating. Then the sailing was perfect. I want to go again on the fireworks sailing Friday. Amazing Captain navigating through crowded surfing area Loved it!

The crew for Waikiki Sailing were great. Everyone was very friendly and helpful. The sail was relaxing and the snorkeling was great. It was out first time snorkeling and we will never forget it. We saw 2 sea turtles. The only negative thing was we had to take an uber to the Harbor because the pick up location changed however, this was due to the weather conditions which was for our own safety. I would highly recommend this company.

You can really judge people by their actions when they think no one is looking. I can't swim but with a life jacket this is doable, and not only did Lucy take the time to make sure I was comfortable, she did the same with a couple other adults and kids. Tommy put a scared child on a board and made sure they saw the wildlife below them. Pono made sure everyone got couples photos. Cam was a great captain. Will definitely use this crew again!

I have already written a review on get my guide…but i thought i would also update on here!Our trip was AMAZING!we have done 4 excursions while in Honolulu and this was our favourite as a family.Our guides Des&Julie were fab,they knew EXACTLY where the beautiful turtles were. The rest of the team were also so helpful and polite.The catamaran was IMMACULATE!like all of it,even the loo’s!Please be sure to listen to your guides,they seriously know there stuff.Thankyou so much all x

This is the best sail catamaran we have gone on. We did another one earlier in the week and it wasn’t as great as this one. I love that the music was low on the boat so you could also hear the boat going across the water and get the real feeling of sailing. They took us to turtle cove to snorkel which I will get to in a minute. Then after snorkeling, they sailed us all the way to tip of Honolulu and then back to the beach they picked us up at. It was awesome! The snorkeling was great. The snorkel equipment was clean and worked great. This boat docks in turtle cove right where the turtles come up to breathe so you get to see them right there without all the chaos of the other boats/snorkelers crowding you. We saw several turtles right by us! The staff/guides were great…very nice, patient and helpful. I definitely recommend this company! One note, we got tot the beach to find them 40 minutes early and started to worry b/c we couldn’t find them. The catamaran comes in right into the beach about 15-20 minutes before the sail time and sets up their little table right there. So be patient and don’t panic. Just look for the beautiful turquoise catamaran.
