Amazing crew and followed timeline provided in booking description. Would definitely book again! Beautiful sunset and photo opportunities no matter where you sat on the boat. Lots of space to move around!
Great sunset cruise. Very hospitable. Gave free mai tais the whole cruise! It’s for everyone! Definitely would do it again!
Super fun and engaging cpt and crew. Very welcoming and open to share places to see/visit. Lots of laughs and fantastic views from the water! Highly recommend!!
Marley our captain, ok girl power!, was so much fun! It was stormy and she chased as much sun as possible. Because I was solo, she let me sit up front with her. She felt like family. The music, the drinks, and the company were everything! As we headed back through the storm, I got soaked. She suggested I go down for cover, but this was my first time in Hawaii, and I wanted the full experience. After we passed through the storm, she had the guys bring me up a towel. One of the other guys, who was a beautiful mixture of Japanese, and two other ethnicities was extremely hospitable and kind. I would recommend these guys a thousand times over. Marcus had me in stitches. It was a wonderful experience.
Based off the description and signing a “turtle” waiver and so on, was definitely under the impression this also included snorkeling in this package. Definitely did not get what I thought I had purchased.
From online booking to check in the process was easy. They keep you updated with emails and reminders. Once aboard the captain and crew make an effort to greet their passengers. Captain Marley was super friendly and knowledgeable. The crew as well walked around checking on passengers asking if they could help out with photos. Super friendly and great sense of humor. They also had adult beverages, soda and snacks. Mahalo🤙🏼
I booked the Waikiki Sunset Cruise expecting a relaxing evening on the water. What I got instead was three straight hours of tropical chaos, public intoxication, emotional instability, and one of the best nights of my life. The second we boarded, the deck hands immediately set the tone by roasting people with the precision of professional comedians who just happened to also know maritime safety regulations. One guy walked on carrying six drinks and a mountain of free chips while balancing two sodas and a Mai Tai, and a deckhand hit him with: “Sir, you either trust yourself way too much or not enough.” Another crew member somehow spent the entire cruise simultaneously: * pouring drinks, * hyping up the crowd, * giving safety instructions, * taking photos for strangers, * and bullying a guy named Steve for wearing socks with sandals. Absolute elite multitasking. Meanwhile the actual cruise itself felt like a fever dream sponsored by rum. There were at least seven separate birthday parties happening at once. A woman lost a flip flop to the Pacific and everyone held a brief memorial service for it. A guy absolutely annihilated the free chips like he was training for a national championship. The bartender was making Mai Tais strong enough to make you temporarily forget your PIN number. At one point, the music shifted from smooth island vibes into full blown “middle school dance in the best possible way” energy and suddenly fifty strangers were screaming the lyrics to Sweet Caroline while the boat bounced around like a shopping cart with one bad wheel. And somehow… the sunset still stole the show. The sky looked fake. Like one of those motivational desktop wallpapers your aunt posts on Facebook with a quote about blessings. People were stopping conversations mid-sentence just staring at the horizon like they’d collectively seen a UFO. Meanwhile the deck hands were still running around cracking jokes and keeping the energy going like caffeinated cruise goblins. One of them looked directly at our group while we were trying to take a photo and yelled: “Don’t worry, I can tell from here this one’s going on Facebook.” He was right. By the end of the cruise: * I had made temporary best friends with at least four strangers, * my hair contained 40% ocean air and 60% Mai Tai vapor, * and I was fully convinced that every sunset back home is now personally insulting me. 10/10 experience. If you’re looking for a quiet, dignified evening, absolutely do not do this. If you want tropical nonsense, beautiful views, hilarious crew members, and the exact kind of vacation memory that gets louder and more exaggerated every time you retell it — this is the move.
Wonderful experience with beautiful views. The complimentary Mai Tai drinks were a nice unexpected touch. Our Captain was a sweetheart and seemed to really enjoy what she was doing. The young man hyped up the crew but fell short as we felt they didnt engage with the visitors as much as we thought they would. I would have liked more information during the cruise regarding some of the history areas we were cruising past. All in all, I would recommend this cruise and look forward to doing a dinner cruise next time.
Very disappointing. Out ticket said to be at the meeting point for 5.30pm. When we arrived at 5.15 we were told the boat went out at 5pm. We were given a refund but were really looking forward to the sunst cruise which I had booked months in advance.
It was very nice. We were worried about it being cloudy but the sunset was amazing. The crew was attentive and very personableZ. They helped the ladies on the boat.
Crew was very friendly and fun! We loved seeing the whales! It was such a nice way to spend our first evening in Hawaii.
The crew was amazing and the cruise was so fun! Loved it! There was music drinks and snacks as well.
Our trip was a great experience. The weather was off and on rain showers but luckily this boat had an indoor area to help keep us dry. Once the rain went away, the outside part of the boat was great for pictures and to take in the atmosphere off the coast of the island. The staff was also very nice and accommodating. We were really happy with our experience and would recommend this boat to others.
The information that I received stated to get there 39 minutes early with the boat leaving at 5:30 pm. My party arrived at 4:45 pm and was told we were too late and could not get on the boat. They stated that they sent a text message that I was not aware of. I got the message at 3:46 pm and it said to be there by 4:11 pm. It would have been next to impossible for my party of 7 to be able to make that deadline. The lack of empathy for our situation also made things more difficult. We were offered the chance to reschedule for the next but have we already have plans. A refund could not be made at the site but I later received an email from Viator that a full refund will be issued in 3-5 days.
Very confusing information given regarding excursion, fuel charge, snorkeling tour, where the pier was vs where the check-in area was, and the people who checked us in seemed to be snappy and somewhat inconsiderate. However the staff on ship was pleasant and very helpful, if it wasn’t for them, this cruise would have been a complete failure.
Very nice boat! Attentive and pleasant crew! Breathtaking sunset and views of Diamond Head at sunset!!! Fantastic fireworks show!!!! Great all around experience - don’t miss out!!!
We had a great time on this cruise - it said BYOB, so we brought wine, but they also had free mai tais and snacks as well. The crew was very entertaining, and they played a good mix of music for all ages. The boat was very nice with lots of seating for everyone. I would happily book this again (and bring a cheese board to snack on next time)!
As of 9/8/25 Nice clean boat! Great crew very friendly! Post card sunset view of Waikiki! Free Mia Tias!(Not top shelf, but not bad at all)Free snacks and soft beverages! Would recommend to anyone visiting Waikiki. Half the cost of other cruises! According to deck hand grilled food soon to be added.
Loved it!!! The crew was amazing and made the cruise great. The views were amazing. One of the highlights of our trip.
Captain Jack and the crew were outstanding as was the actual 2-hour trip. What I didn’t like was the fact that when we checked in, I still had to pay $7 per person fuel charge!!! There were about 100 people on this cruise and they used $700 worth of fuel?!!! Really?!!! I will never use Trip Advisor ever again because of the fine print tactic they used on me. Apparently this happens so often that the company has a printed document of the online agreement you sign on their window when you show up and they show where the fine print statement of agreement is so that you cannot contest it. Not cool. Okay, they got me this time, but hell no, they’re never get me again. Buyer be aware of the fine print with trip advisor.
Nice cruise. Sunset was beautiful as were fireworks. No alcohol so bring your own if you need. Staff did a great job. Water was a bit choppy if you’re sensitive to those type of issues. With a full boat, volume could overwhelm those sensitive to loud environments.
Fantastic experience! Jack and Johnny kept it a very lively experience without being too crazy. There were plenty of snacks and drinks to go around. Overall an amazing harbor cruise, and the fireworks were so fun! 10/10 would do again!
The staff on the boat was so much fun! Great music & snacks/water & mai tais were included. We also were able to bring our own alcohol! We caught a gorgeous sunset. There was a hidden additional $7 fuel surcharge that we bad to pay upon arriving at the dock.
Do it! Great vibe accompanied by magnificent views! You can’t beat the view of the setting sun, on the open sea. Pink skies wrap you with ooos and awes, followed by a sky full of stars. And if you get lucky, you can make a dream come true on a shooting star. However, prepare yourself for the voyage. Several people got seasick and missed the joy of the Hawaiian sunset and sky. Plan ahead, even if you spend your share of time on boats.
It was an experience to remember. Definitely recommend coming if you are around the area and want to see an amazing view of the island and the sunset.
Captain Marlee was the bomb. She’s friendly fun and an inspiration. We had a great time on this cruise. The value for the $ is top notch. Highly recommend
Get there 40 minutes before departure and bring your own alcohol and eat something before hand. They have a mixed drink for free and chips, snacks and sodas. Make sure to have some tip money as thd crew works for tips and they were actually superb
Great experience! The crew was very friendly and helpful. I would definitely recommend the sunset cruise, the views were amazing!
Cruise was wonderful, crew was wonderful..I liked that we stayed in the water until the sun set ...it was definitely worth the money only problem its a booze cruise didn't like that kids were tgere
The only reason I put one star is because I had to put a rating to write my comment. In reality we could not make the cruise because there was a long line up on the highway from our hotel in Kaanapali to the port where the cruise was conducted. The hotel reception told me it would take 25 minutes to reach there. I kept a provision of one hour, but Google maps put the actual time to almost 1 hour 45 minutes when we were on the highway. This misadventure cost me the price of two tickets for the cruise plus taxi was $75 and we had dinner at Hula Grill in Whalers Village (to see the sunset from there) that cost us a further $100. The organising company said they had sent me an email regarding the possible delay. I did not receive this email but would suggest that Viator informs all its tour companies to call by phone when such road emergencies arise. Sad to have missed this cruise. At least the organisers agreed to refund one of the two tickets purchased. Munir Daya
The experience was amazing 👏 the staff was friendly, and the ride was smooth. Would recommend it for sure.
It was a great experience, I really enjoyed the cruise and the staff. The free mai tai were great not to mention the over all atmosphere. The scenery was breathtaking! I will definitely do it again
We really enjoyed this cruise because the boat was spacious, two levels, snacks, soft drinks and Mai Tais included. We had kids with us and were happy to find out that this cruise was very laid back with Hawaiian music that wasn’t obnoxiously loud, soft drinks, Mai Tais and snacks included, nice staff. Highly recommend to couples and families wanting to be away from the crazy party boats with loud music and heavy drinking.
Loved this activity. The catamaran was little bumpy due to the waves but my kid had a blast with that. Boat was clean and crew were friendly. Definitely will do it again.
Light snacks and drinks provided. Bathrooms on board. Great 360 views from anywhere on the boat. Small glass under water viewing area.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ This sunset tour was everything I hoped for and more. The atmosphere on board was absolutely perfect, relaxing, scenic, and full of good vibes. The snacks and drinks was great. The two guys running the tour were incredibly kind and attentive, making everyone feel welcome and taken care of. You can tell they genuinely enjoy what they do, and it made the evening feel that much more special. I would do it again! Highly recommend if you’re looking for a beautiful, laid-back way to enjoy the sunset with some great refreshments and even better company!
Great experience, crew was amazing. Captain Jack made our trip! Worth every penny. Will definitely come back!
The Liquid Aloha and crew were awesome. Captain Jack is the best! You will not be disappointed in this sunset cruise. Book it.
Great experience! Very friendly staff, always offering to help take pictures of the beautiful scenery. Timed the sunset perfectly. Would definitely recommend them
This is a two-story ship. I didn't expect it to shake this much compared to a big ship! Mai tai was delicious and all-you-can-drink, but one drink was all I could do. It felt like two hours was a long time. But it was a good memory because I wanted to ride it once. I had good memories on the last day.
The sunset cruise was so good. It was beautiful. I just said there was a glassboard, so I took my grandson on board and I couldn't see anything. We had food, drink and alcoholic drinks, and the sunset was beautiful and very satisfying. The toilets are clean. But I think the description of seeing a lot of fish on the brushboard is wrong.
