Viator gave us the absolute incorrect meeting point. It was a scramble to figure it out. We almost missed the boat.

There’s nothing like a Hawaiian sunset, and nothing beats seeing a sunset at sea. Enjoy a scenic cruise south toward Diamond Head, pausing on the way back to catch the moment the sun slips below the horizon – you may even see the green flash.

With this boat, there will be a lot of people. That’s great if you have a big group and want a stocked bar but we appreciate a more relaxed sailing experience. If you want something like a party boat at sunset, this may be ok. If you’re looking for calm and romantic, skip this.
This was a fun little cruise! The views of Honolulu were spectacular and the sunset was pretty epic. We felt entirely safe and spent our time at the back of the boat near the wheel. We appreciated the beverages and snacks included with the price of the booking. Would definitely recommend this for a novel experience.
Fantastic trip. Crew were amazing, funny, professional. Drinks were free flowing. First time on a catamaran and it won’t be the last. Totally recommend this trip.
Great sailing and beautiful vistas and sunsets. Drinks were splendid, dinner was just a boxed lunch. Eat before you go if you’re hungry. The Pacific Ocean just opened up for you once the crew unfurls the sails.
We had a great time on the sunset cruise! The refreshments were great! The crew (Captain Nick, Geno and Mikey) were absolutely wonderful and so professional. We would highly recommend! The only issue we had was that Hilton didn't tell us where to meet but we were called promptly and told where to check-in which was very close to the dock.
Such a pretty and relaxing sunset cruise. The crew was friendly and the views were amazing! Definitely would recommend!
Started off with moving to a different pier due to weather and safety concerns, but they did shuttle us to new location. The Spirit of Aloha was a great boat with awesome crew! Loved the bento box, open bar and the entire experience which included gorgeous rainbows and sunset! Karin, Jackson and Brad were great!!
The reason I can recommend this Sunset Cruise is because it's less crowded than other cruise from center of Waikiki. It's nicer and bigger vessel as well. You can easily step on from the pier instead of soaking your feet in the ocean. There is a shoe box at the pier, and you can store your sandals before on board. We enjoyed a beautiful summer sunset!
First off: DO NOT GET THIS IF YOU WANT A DINNER CRUISE. The “””dinner””” they provide was a couple rolls, some cheese cubes, and a few pieces of salami. Not at all what’s advertised on Viator. The only reason this gets 2 stars instead of one is because the crew was very friendly and helpful; they would offer to take pictures and come around asking for drink orders. The sunset itself was very nice as well. They stopped the boat at a nice vantage spot to watch it fully set. If they hadn’t advertised a dinner with this cruise this would have been a 4 or 5 star trip, but I booked it for my family expecting to have an actual dinner with it and was sorely disappointed.
What an incredible experience. The Crew did a great job and very accommodating. The views of Diamond head at Sunset were Amazing.
Top top shelf. This was A-league at its finest. We booked this during a family trip to Oahu to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary and we were blown away by the entire experience. These days it seems we need to be more and more careful when selecting tour experiences as they sometimes don't fully have the best interest of the guest in mind. Not in this case. For one, the cruise was just stunningly beautiful which is arguably hard to get wrong anywhere off the coast of Honolulu. But being on a catamaran under full sail just takes it up several levels. And then lets focus on the crew - they were not only obviously competent sailors, but they were completely focused on making sure everyone had a wonderful evening. There was none of the frequent cost-cutting we sometimes feel after paying for an excursion - quite the contrary - the crew generously offered on many occasions to bring a drink for their guests out on the deck of the boat. And although the cruise was scheduled from 5:30 to 7pm, the Captain just kept the boat out past the official end time because the sun was still setting and he obviously wanted to let people soak up the sunset. Bravo!! Just a few examples, but it just felt so nice to be on the boat and recognize that the whole thing really was all about maximizing everyone's enjoyment. I'm originally from Canada but have lived in Japan for over 20 years and have gotten used to just sort of expecting amazing service everywhere. Again I was just taken aback at how Nick the Captain and his crew were operating on this same level. I think I took over 100 pictures during the cruise including the ones that other guests offered to take for us. It was just such a super positive vibe, and I would encourage other tour operators to come, board, and learn how to run a 6-star experience. Not to mention of course that I would encourage fellow travelers to Hawaii to endulge in this wonderful experience. A big thanks to Nick and his crew for creating such an amazing memory during such a special occasion for us.
Do not book. This cruise falsely represents the menu and it’s NOT a dinner cruise. You get 2 small rolls at best and some cheese
The staff on the boat was great. However, the dinner menu was misleading. It stated we would have marinated chicken and we bought a lot of tickets for a rehearsal dinner. The menu was a small sandwich of 2 dinner rolls, cheese and a few grapes. I would NOT recommend this excursion.
Staff was great and very nice. However, the dinner description was completely misleading. We had a very large group of people who purchased tickets. Everyone we went with thought we were having a marinated chicken dinner, per the menu. However, it was just a small snack. Not a good value for the cost.
We had a wonderful time on our sunset cruise! Corrine and her crew were top notch. Drinks were good, snacks were just what we needed. Boat was clean. I’m prone to motion sickness and was worried I was going to be a disaster but the staff walks you through what to do if you feel queasy. Ginger Ale is your friend! Some of the BEST pictures we got on our vacation were from this boat. Gorgeous.
We made the last minute decision to go for a sunset boat ride and it was worth it. My kids love it. We had drinks and charcuterie snacks at the boat. 6/14/2026 5:30pm sunset
Great way to end evening, Nick,Nick, Caleb and Geno did an excellent job! Highly recommend this trip.
Crew was attentive, and vessel was very clean (including the rest rooms. But crew nor Captain narrate any information on the area, as we traveled away from shore. We had to take off our shoes before boarding, this piece of information was not communicated since buying the tickets.
Fantastic experience again. The crew are engaged and focused on the passengers. They are very professionaland are equally focused on you having a good time and your safety. Will definitely do this again.
This ride can be calm inside the catamaran or exciting sitting on the nets/hammock. Safe and fun for all ages.
Great crew and a fun tour. Information listed on Viator is incorrect, as there is no dinner served. They offer a snack box with two small sandwiches. We saw whales and a turtle. The whole family had a great time.
Captain Nick and his crew did an excellent job of taking care of all of us on the cruise!
Convenient meeting location, friendly crew, wide selection of drinks, and tasty food. Sea was a little rough, but still a good time.
Excellent!!! Port Waikiki cruises is super easy - walk out on the pier, hop on! Staff is happy and attentive and knowledgeable. Catamaran was clean and well maintained, very spacious. By far, our best experience on a Waikiki cruise.
The best way to watch the sunset in Waikiki! One of the best catamaran cruises we’ve been on - mostly because it was not crowded at all. It was so chill and relaxed, we went pretty far off shore and managed to see some whale spouts and even a fluke! The drinks were fantastic and everyone had their own box of a small sandwich and grapes (it was fresh and good - a nice healthy snack with your cocktail). The sunset was stunning. And it was super-convenient to take the tour right from the Hilton resort. If you are staying at the Hawaiian Village you shouldn’t miss taking the sunset cruise - it really is beautiful.
One of best cat cruises we have ever been on. All perfect!
Sail was not overcrowded which made it most enjoyable. And the crew was fantastic, personable and fun!
I had funny and memorable experience with OGs on the 1/27 evening sunset cruise. I was celebrating a solo birthday trip. The crew and riders were extremely welcoming. I even receive a lovely birthday song. It’s not advertised but you may see whales. We saw three that seem to follow us to the sunset. The captain chanting “whipple of whales” seems to keep them nearby. The boat ride was peaceful and just long enough. The drinks were good everyone said the Mai Tai was the best on the island.
Anthony was extremely knowledgeable. Really appreciated his information about the history of Hawaii! “Corndog” , as well as the rest of the crew, was so good about ensuring our drinks were filled. Drinks were great! Corndog took our picture and was soooo good about getting the best shot! Food box could have been better. 😕 The catamaran was clean and checked all the boxes for safety! Thank you for such a great experience! When asked, Anthony in particular was very informative and very proud of the Hawaii culture!
It was a fantastic experience watching the sunset from the ocean and well worth the price! The crew was wonderful and attentive. I would definitely do again.
The sunset cruise was a highlight of our family trip. Beautiful scenery, large catamaran that easily handles the rough seas, and of course a fantastic sunset. The crew was great and they have a bar making your cocktail of choice. Definitely worth the money and super convenient if you’re staying at HHV.
It was an amazing opportunity. We were lucky that saw many dolphins. The captain and crews are very nice. Very safety ride
A sunset sail is my mother‘s absolute favorite thing to do while visiting the islands. Corinne, Paiven and Jaxon were absolutely wonderful, attentive and friendly. Mahalo
simply the best, we now have booked twice with them and each time the crew has been outstanding at sea & with all the people aboard 🌈⚓🌅
This was a girl's trip! We had the best time on the cruise! The staff was friendly and accommodating. The food and drinks were exceptional and we were all well taken care of throughout the evening. I will most certainly recommend this cruise to all of my friends and family! Thank you for the memories!!
This sunset cruise was great! The bar and staff were great as well very clean boat! Pricing was pretty affordable. Lovely lady at the booth who signed us up with her cutest puppy Peanut :)
Staff was extremely pleasant and attentive. Would like to have been served better food choices. Boxed lunch was disappointing. Sad how one thoughtless person wearing zero underwear ruined the experience for us. Wind was blowing her short dress up the whole time. Would have wished the crew intervened. Felt value of $$$ was too expensive for this excursion.
Chris, Jaxon and Mikey are a fun crew. They make sure that we’re all safe, comfortable and have lots of fun. The experience is something we can’t stop talking. I recommend this adventure to all who wants to try it and to have an incredible memorable moments to treasure.
It was a wonderful sail around the bay with captain Austin and the Whitneys, everyone was so nice the snacks and drinks were great. It was easy getting on and off the boat from the pier.
I really enjoyed the cruise. The sunset was beautiful. The crew was very personable and showed compassion when my family member was sea sick. They acted very professional. Our box meal was set up nice, and they did accommodate for my niece being vegetarian. Both Alcohol and non-alcoholic beverages were available. The only negative is that the waves can be unpredictable, and the ride can make it hard to walk at times, but what a great experience. My mom is 90, and she was able to ride. However, unless escorted, she couldn't walk or would have lost her balance.
The sunset sail in Waikiki was the perfect way to end our day. The catamaran was spacious and comfortable, and the views of Diamond Head and the city skyline at sunset were absolutely stunning. We enjoyed a delicious light dinner with local flare and sipped our cocktails as we cruised along the coast. The crew was warm, attentive, and made sure everyone was having a great time. It was relaxing, scenic, and just the right mix of fun and romance—highly recommend for couples or anyone looking to unwind in paradise!
Uh…. Lot of money for a cold box that we need to retrieve. Float out come in. Staff meh. The food was so bad I couldn’t eat it and the drink tasted “off” and the could not drink it either.
Absolute awesome cruise and crew. Best part of the trip! The catamaran was a perfect size. Not to uncomfortably small but the right size for a romantic sunset cruise.
The boat, views and crew were absolutely amazing and made the journey very enjoyable. You’re doing yourself wrong not embarking on this gorgeous sunset cruise.
Really enjoyed our sunset cruise, the crew were fantastic, very engaging, taking photos for people and food and drink supplied was spot on.
The Crew was amazing and kept the cruise fun!. Great views of the Sunset, Honolulu and Diamond Head. Great drinks and fun people on the boat 👍
Great crew CPT Nick and crew provided a wonderful sunset cruise!!!! Very professional and safety was paramount. We would recommend this company on any of the ocean excursions.
Great afternoon of sailing . Nice boat plenty of room . Captain and crew very nice. Out for a little over two hours . Spotted some turtles and some whales
Let me start by saying the sunset cocktail experience was what you would expect it to be off the shores of Oahu. The crew were friendly and professional. The drinks were great. My wife and I had a wonderful time except when it came down to the food. I purchased the tickets through Hilton's concierge service and all they could tell me ahead of time is that they will serve "pupus". Funny that when I went to the website, I found a list of pupus. Here is what the website said, the day we purchased our tickets: "Relax on a scenic barefoot sailing excursion for about an hour and a half. Dine on an array of "pupu" (appetizers) and snacks, and assorted beverages. Array of “pupus” such as avocado poke, pipikaula (Hawaiian beef) and Maui Onion salad, penne pasta, tortilla chips with pineapple salsa, crudités platter (assorted vegetables), and taro rolls with lilikoi butter." We didn't even have butter! (lol) Of course, I'm expecting an array of pupus and not the chicken breast sandwich we were given. Unfortunately since we purchased the day of we could not request a special dietary substitution, but even with that I had hoped to "feast" on some pupus and not a chicken sandwich on taro bread, with a straggly piece of lettuce and what amounts to a fortune cookie. Not well thought out at all. On top of this, the food set in boxes on a table practically the entire cruise, until we were back at dock. It was mentioned to us to grab our food as if it were an afterthought. Like, "take this to go as a parting gift". The food selection was frustrating. But being able to book at the last minute and give my wife a sunset she'll remember, was worth it. For reference, I've never done a sunset cruise, but have done other cruises and water activities on Oahu and other Hawaiian islands, mostly during the day.
