Waikiki Snorkeling Adventure

We arrived in Oahu after the hurricane and found the weather beautiful but very windy. I called the day before to confirm our plans. We took the boat out to some extremely choppy water. A few people got sick before arrival. I have snorkeled several times and jumped in to find the waves covering our head and pushing us completely under the water. The water was very murky with absolutely no visibly. We were fighting the water. People immediately started swimming back to the boat. Once on board I found majority of the people now throwing up and lying down. There were maybe 4-5 people not negatively affected by the boat. I would have respected the company more had they of saved us the wasted time and rescheduled/offered us to cancel. This was not a good snorkeling experience. You can’t blame the storm when you as a company decided to still take people out in dangerous waters.

It was awesome! Very choppy out but the crew was AMAZING! Mo, Zayne, Capt Jack were so kind, friendly and kept us safe also making sure we had great memories to go home with! Pointing out dolphins and turtles so we didn’t miss anything! Great experience! Will do again!

It’s a boat full of fun people and crew! They like to provide fun even when a few people are not feeling it to boost their spirits. I highly recommend doing this because I also got a great tanned from it as well and made some good friends

We came in for 2 weeks from Florida and had to try this out. Everyone was very nice, the experience alone was awesome as well!

That was a pleasant time, the crew was very friendly and nice. Pickup and drop of was easy and on time. Haven’t seen much in the water, few fish and one turtle (I saw when I got back up on the boat). I still have been enjoying my little cruise. Swimming in the ocean without touching the rough see bottom and nice breeze on the boat. Kids were jumping from the boat and I was just about to join them but then decide not to risk in my 70ties.

The crew was great and outgoing. The slide, trampoline, paddleboards etc were fun to use. However, This is not turtle snorkeling. The title on this needs to be "party boat fun with snorkeling." They need to leave the turtle part out because we didn't see one turtle. We weren't even taken to the where the turtles were. If your main focus is to see and swim with turtles do not book this. I feel like this is false advertisement.

What a wonderful outing! We all had so much fun! I was most impressed by their care and concern. I have asthma and when they saw me using my inhaler they made a point of keeping it handy and making sure that all the crew knew where it was in case I needed it. So very safety aware!! I would recommend for so many reasons, plus the snorkeling was spectacular! 5 stars!!!!

I was worried at first after reading the other reviews but it was amazing and relaxing. The crew was all very nice and welcoming and helped out with the kids a lot. The guy who was on the mic letting us know how things were going to work and gave tips was super funny and and also serious at the same time. I had a great time with my sister and we saw turtles!

The whole experience 10/10 definitely going back and the employees were perfect! See you next year!!

The crew Isaiah, Riley and Captain Eric were fantastic helpful and full of knowledge about Oahu. All of them were super friendly and although the rough sea most likely hindered our views of fish we were still able to spot turtles and big fish

Sold as a snorkeling w/sea turtles trip. Captain anchored the boat about 1/2 mile from shore where we sat rocking with the waves the entire trip. Not a fish or turtle in sight. To be clear, we did not book a 5 in one activities trip but the trampoline, canoes, slide etc. all came out anyway. Also, your " 20ft. dive platform" was the top deck of the boat. Shocked no one hit the side of it while "diving' Snacks consisted of melted granola bars, warm water that tasted like a holding tank & another warm (looked like tea) beverage. Not an ice cube in sight. The transportation furnished was a used up shuttle bus that was filthy inside and out. The crew was very nice especially the young woman doing the lions share of the work with the guests onboard. Not a pleasant experience. I recommend if you are considering a true snorkeling experience, save your money and book a true snorkeling boat...one that'll get you close to where the turtles & fish hang out!! A reef, a bay, may have been the ticket!

Really great crew. They were very interactive with everyone, especially with the kids on board. Took the time to ask everyone where they were from and gave shout outs to special occasions.

We were so disappointed to find that this tour was just added on to another tour with all the blow up things (slides, trampolines) which of course attracted a lot of children. We we’re looking for a relaxing experience and it was not this at all! A teenager in a kayak ran over me and my husband when we were snorkeling and there were only a few fish, no turtles at all!!!!!

When we bought this, we assumed, due to the description and title, that the focus would be on snorkeling with sea turtles. At the pick up point, and during embarkation, we were confused when we were told we could "upgrade." It turns out that this was part of an activity excursion that included kayaks, paddleboards, a slide, and a trampoline. The boat ride was fine, and the crew was outstanding. We enjoyed snorkeling and swimming, but there wasn't much to see. We saw fishes while snorkeling and we did see some sea turtles from the boat (at a distance) and some dolphins from the boat. While it looked like the families (there were kids) had a lot of fun, this wasn't exactly what we were expecting. It was a good experience, but had we known the party/activities were the focus, and not the sea turtles, we probably would have selected a different turtle excursion.

The slide was probably the only fun part of the boat. There was no sea turtle guide or anything more for a “snorkeling” experience

I went on a turtle snorkeling tour, and it was awesome! I saw turtles, and it was really amazing. I highly recommend it to others! It's the best value for money!

There was a swell and it made it hard to see anything. Marketing for this trip is done very well , but the experience is definitely not what you pay for . We had only paid for the snorkel swim and tour , however all we got was a party boat in which music was played and everyone had a chance to try different activities. . We think it shouldn’t be marketed as a snorkel tour as all , as it definitely is not the focus of the tour. We however are grateful to the boat driver who did point out some turtles swimming in the water on our way back to port .

I had never did the activity before and they never explained how to use the equipment what to expect or any other assistance. We just told what not to do, and. When I showed distress they just sat there and didn’t respond. My mother was in distress and they didn’t help her, my sister had to bring her back to safety.

There were no turtles nor did they do anything to attract the sea life. Very misleading from the pictures and descriptions online

Trampoline didn’t work. No paddle boarding. No kayaking. No turtles. No full face mask. Crew was not professional, but nice.

Advertised as swimming with turtles, and the boat didn’t even go to where the turtle area is. If turtles is a priority, choose a different one.

Swimming with fish was fun. It was a very memorable experience. I would recommend it to everyone. Viator staff very professional, reliable and pleasant.

The bad thing is there wasn’t turtles in the water as I was expecting. Other than the crew was nice and polite

Lots of fish where we snorkeled and then we got to see a mama and baby whale give us show! Met some friendly people as well!

The crew was fun and professional. Captain was fun. Plenty of time to snorkel and enjoy the ocean. Would do it again.

None. No turtles but still advertised as turtle snorkeling. There will be no turtles unless you go a spot where there are rocks where they feed on the algae, like at turtle beach in Kona.

Very over priced tour for what you get. We did snorkel only. They took us to an area where we saw very few fish. If you didn’t “upgrade” to use the water slide/trampoline (an additional $50 a person), there was very little to do. You can only swim in deep water for so long. We saw no turtles until we got back to the harbor. Snacks consisted of watered down lemonade and granola bars. We thought we could relax and lay in the sun on the nets but we’re quickly asked to get off as they were in need of repair. So, we sat for about 2 hours on a metal bench. Not enjoyable at all. Captain was very kind but that’s all I will say that was truly great about this trip!

We booked last minute and the driver didn’t pick us up; however, I called the tour operator and they were prompt and apologetic. The crew was fabulous and caring, always checking on guests. They provided lemonade and granola bars complimentary and had restrooms on board. Tour felt very safe and boat was nice. However, I booked on viator and didn’t know there would be people on water slides, trampolines, and jumping off the boat. This activity definitely discouraged marine life from coming near. The turtle name in the title suggests that guests will see turtles. I understand wildlife isn’t guaranteed, but this tour doesn’t lend itself to seeing wildlife due to location and other guest activities offered. The tour should be named Waikiki snorkeling and remove “turtle” as that sets an expectation that it includes an environment where it’s conducive to wildlife or in an area where turtles go such as turtle canyon, which it doesn’t. It was a nice trip and the crew was great, but didn’t meet my expectations due to the name. Also, viator should disclaim that other activities are offered from the boat on the same trip. I would not recommend this trip for turtle snorkeling; instead ensure to select a trip that goes to known turtle spots like turtle canyon or turtle cove.

I had a really good time, everything was explained, I didn’t feel lost even though it was my first time snorkeling etc. Malia was Great very informative and great attitude!

Good trip overall, but not very first timer friendly, you will be driven to the location and given masks then you are on your own. Will be fun for people who already know snorkeling, so wouldn't recommend this as your first snorkeling trip. Do it when you feel confident! I still got to see turtles by the way, adorable.

I enjoyed everything about this tour. The crew were awesome so were all the rest of tourists. Absolutely say but ok it!!!

The customer service from check in to the crew's hospitality were superb. We didn't feel rushed and it was ample time we need to have a good time. Other tours to the same area were only two hours whereas this your was three hours long. The waves were choppy when we went and I highly suggest taking in some motion sickness meds if you don't have sea legs. Overall, we have to commend the crew. They took care of us and rolled out the inflatable slide and the trampoline! They even allowed guests to user their paddle board and kayak equipments! Will definitely come back. Highly recommend! A+++++++++

The trip left on Time which I love. The crew was friendly. I’m terrible with names - so sorry! But they made me feel safe getting into the water and assured me as a solo traveler I wouldn’t get left behind 😂 great experience. The captain even called out to point out the dolphins.

Every guide member was very kind, attentive and knowledgeable. Great crew! They kept it fun, and eere genuinely on lifeguard/ attendant mode. Made everyone feel safe and comfortable

It was more of a party boat not a snorkeling tour. Very disappointed. We saw no fish, no turtles, the water was merky. I was expecting to drive around to different reefs to explore.

The peopleon board and the crew were all great! We saw dolphin, and fish. The kids had a great time on the slide. The whole thing was great!

The friendly staff. They were very welcoming, courteous and professional especially Malia. She was absolutely awesome.

I'm have fun that the paddle board but not my kids they do the snorkeling no fish to be seeking that was disappointing. Overall was ok

Meeting new people was the highlight. We went on the tour to go snorkeling on the reef. Hardly saw anything. The operators had to use fish food to attract fish.

Seeing dolphins on the way back. Luna was awesome and I liked the slide. I don't think it was worth the price for the extras but that is the only way to get the slide and trampoline. If you want anything besides snorkeling buy the deluxe package.

We booked our snorkeling through Viator site. They were good with booking and we were able to reach at the location on our own. Once we got there the staff was nice they checked us in. They had enough gear for all of us. We were 111 people on the boat and all were able to enjoy. Staff was very friendly and the slide was fun. They put out trampoline on the water which was ok. Not many kids did that but I thought it was a good option. The only part we felt was not great is we did not see any good fish or turtles. But besides that it was great. They provided snack and water also.

Literally nothing in the water. Crew was very nice and friendly though. But if you are looking for a snorkeling experience you will be disappointed.

This is definitely the most wonderful snorkeling experience ever. Both Matt and Eric are professional and friendly. The activities are well organized with a lot of fun activities of sliding, kayaking and trampling. They provide yummy snacks and lemonade. In addition, the crew help take care of the kids when I'm snorkeling, extremely appreciate. I hope to do it again.

The entire crew was awesome and very friendly… Good value for the price.. I would recommend anyone trying snorkeling first time

Great tour, no issues, Matt and Nacho communicated everything we needed to know, the captain provided the do’s and dont’s- equipment was good, took my 7&9 year old out for the first time- they did great!
