It's a bit deceiving. It's not a full glass bottom boat that you sit on and look through the bottom. There are 4 compartments where you can sometimes stand and look down about 6 feet through a fairly small glass portal. Most of the trip is listening to the Captain talk about key points along the route and his experiences as a scuba diver with his wife. Very entertaining and friendly but not what was expected. This, while spending most of your time looking over the sides of the boat to see an occasional turtle from afar before it dives out of sight when you head towards it. You may also see a small selection of fish that choose to appear just below the surface. You are really getting a short trail ride on the water. It's not a glass bottom, sea creature observing adventure. For the price (especially in Hawaii) there's not much room to complain. Just expect a pleasant boat ride and some landmark history lessons as opposed to sea life interaction. This should be marketing more clearly to increase customer trust in the future.

Excellent experience!! I recommend to anyone visiting Honolulu!! Everyone on the boat were so nice, the 2 guys who operated the boat were the best!!
The crew did an outstanding job. However, that being said the glass boat is a little misleading. There are four areas on the boat that facilitate looking into the ocean. You stand up and look down into the area that allows you to see. I can honestly say we really never looked down as the speed of the boat was too fast. We never saw any fish through the portals. The crew threw some food over and the fish came to eat. Never saw any dolphins, or whales either. I believe we saw 6 turtles.
Wonderful boat ride to see sea turtles and fish. Was hoping to see dolphins but didn't. Jim and the driver of the boat (sorry, I forgot his name) were both so helpful and informative.
This glass bottom boat was a great tour, the 2 guys were wonderful, saw a few turtles, a fish that looked like an eel, then a swarm of fish. Very refreshing
Never miss this activity. You can see Waikiki beach on a different vantage point. The crews were amazing. We learned a lot of history about some of the hotels st Waikiki Beach.
We loved it! Saw 3 kinds of fish, many turtles and even spinner dolphins. The captains were very accommodating as well. Didn’t really see a lot thru the “glass bottom” all of the sightings were from the boat.
The Boat ride was great. Beautiful blue waters. Lots of big sea turtles and fish. Diamond Head from the water was spectacular.
Well organized. Saw turtles, lots of fish and a pack of dolphins. Great experience! The crew Brendon and Ian were extremely good
We really enjoyed our glass bottom boat tour. The actual boat ride was one of those simple vacation experiences that ends up being incredibly memorable. Once we were out on the water, it was relaxing and beautiful—the sun on our faces, the wind in our hair, the occasional sea spray, and the views of the ocean. It felt like pure vacation magic. The only part of the experience that could use some improvement is the check-in process. We arrived very early, actually too early to check in according to the person at the check-in desk. We waited just to the side of the check-in hut in the shade. As other passengers arrived, they naturally began forming a line behind us. However, there was no sign or clear direction indicating where the line started or how the check-in process worked, so some people simply stepped in front of us. We were the first people there to check in, and the staff knew that, but others were allowed to check in before us. As a result, we ended up being the last people to board the boat and by then all of the shaded seating areas were taken. A simple "Line Starts Here" sign or clearer instructions about where to wait would make a big difference. I also think it's important to acknowledge guests who have arrived and are already waiting, particularly when they arrived before everyone else. Fortunately, it ended up working in our favor. We got seats at the very front of the boat, and they turned out to be the best seats in the house. We had completely unobstructed views of the ocean and a wonderful breeze as we drifted along. The staff on the boat were pleasant and pointed out marine life for us to see. They also kept everyone entertained with plenty of jokes—although the "dad jokes" were a little more than we needed. The waiting area is hot, but once the boat starts moving, the breeze is perfect. And honestly, that feeling of being out on the water made the entire experience worthwhile. Our biggest tip: get to the front of the boat if you can. The views and breeze were fantastic. Overall, we loved the boat ride and would absolutely recommend it. The check-in process could use a little more organization, but once we were on the water, it was a wonderful and relaxing experience.
The experience was cool just miss informed in the picture we all thought it was a see through bottom but it wasn’t but we made the best out of it overall though it was cool the guides were great
It was a wonderful experience
Had a great time. Glad to have gone.
Our guides were Jim and Ian and they were great , telling us where to see the dolphins and we seen some Turtles the weather was lovey was a awesome trip the staff were very safety conscious I would recommend this adventure
We got no luck seeing animals. But nice pictures on the boat.
Didn't really do anything but float around the bay. Saw a few turtles. A bunch of fish when they feed them.
You will see lots of fish and the water is just amazing. Nice ride for even the faint of heart. We truly enjoyed it!
The glass bottom boat ride was very enjoyable and informative. The boat driver/owner was very well-informed and friendly. You don't see much through the glass bottom viewing areas besides bubbles and the sandy bottom, but we saw lots of fish and heard some interesting information about the Waikiki Beach area.
Saw sea turtles and fish. Great views of the coast and Diamond Head. Jim and Cam were very informative and entertaining.
The crew was super dope, helped with all the questions I had and more. Got to see a lot of marine life and gave us an unforgettable first experience on the island.
What an excellent tour! Our guides were the sweetest and made the tour super fun! We got to see some of the most beautiful sea creatures.
We did the glass bottom boats today. Cam and Ian were great. They were both very friendly. We saw fish and turtles today. Well worth the experience.
Seen fish, turtles, dolphins! Wonderful short little trip on the water. Awesome music and boat crew!
Beautiful fun boat ride with friendly and very knowledgeable captains that go above and beyond to find as many fish they can find
Very relaxing and beautiful enjoyed the information and seeing Fish. We so enjoyed this experience. The crew was helpful and knowledgeable. We are in our 70's had a good time
Although the description of the boat having a glass bottom is somewhat deceptive, the overall experience was outstanding! The tour guides were great! We all kinds of different marine life, including turtles and dolphins. I would do it again.
The boat tour itself was very enjoyable. We arrived a half an hour early for our tour to check in as requested only to find out that we had been rescheduled for a tour 45 minutes later. While the guide says he sent me a message telling me that, I can't find it anywhere so I don't think he did. I likely would have planned my morning differently if I knew that we had been rescheduled. Not a huge deal though, and my son enjoyed the tour which was the whole reason I booked!
This was a lovely experience. The staff were personable and friendly. We were looking for a short ride and an opportunity to see Honolulu from the water. The boat ride provided both plus good narrative and views of turtles and fish.
Good for family and solo riders great view of the ocean front and the marine life. Bunch of fish dolphins water pretty clear you can see the seafloor awesome experience. I loved it.
A fun experience, the crew were very polite and competent in their handling of the boat and its passengers
4 boxes to look down in, saw a few fish, only fed on one side of the boat not engaging both sides. Waste of time and money.
We were very pleased with Hawaii Glass Bottom Boat tour. The two men on board were very informative and friendly. The scenery is beautiful.
Pleasant 1-1/2 hours out on the water seeing a variety of sea life. The pilot was first rate, very entertaining snd knowledgeable.
Loved the glass bottom boat tour and learned so much about Hawaii's wild fish and turtles. Even seen species turtles you can't find anywhere else had an excellent time
Great day to be on the water. The guys were friendly and helpful. Very informative. I’d go out with these guys again anytime.
The captains were amazing Brandon and Stone. We saw a fish, turtles and a huge Manta ray. They were very knowledgeable and extremely friendly.
We wished the tour was longer at the end cause we had so much fun but it was the perfect length for small children. Great people and music and a beautiful day in Waikiki
Pretty easy going trip, friendly crew! If you are lucky, you get to see tons of fishes, the view is just amazing, and the stories they share, are interesting.
Brandon and Stone were excellent guides and the experience they gave us on the water was very memorable.
Wonderful experience on this trip. Great information shared by our host. We saw two turtles and a couple of whales. Plus lots of fish. Gorgeous views and a great boat ride.
Friendly, engaging and knowledgeable tout guides. Boat left the dock on time and returned to the dock as eplained.
Well must notify them 24 hours for cancellation but bad luck this morning my girlfriend foot got bang yesterday and this morning woke up with swollen foot and enable to put foot pressure on her foot ! Tour operator refused to honor the cancellation unless we got a Dr notes! I felt like we are kids ! Must bring daddy notes ! Come on we are adults and felt like too bad we lost it !
So it was a nice boat ride and the staff was great. However if you have an expectation of seeing lots of different things this is not to trip. I do understand that they can’t control nature but we stopped in one spot over a sunken barge and seen a few fish. One quick glimpse of I sea turtle. The last thing is I thought this was a glass bottom boat but all it had was 4 small about 3x4 spots to lean over and look into to see into the water. Not what I was expecting. The only reason I’m giving it 3 stars was the staff were very pleasant and informative.
Didn’t see much but some fish only because they fed them and a few turtles, the so called glass bottom boat didn’t see anything thru the glass at all but sand. The skipper and his helper were on personal phones a lot. Not really worth it.
This is a glass bottom boat and through out the 1 hour ride we did not see one fish through the glass. Nothing. The attendant threw fish food over the side and then we saw some fish. The ride itself was beautiful and peaceful. Don’t expect to fish or turtles.
Austin and Sofia were awesome, such a nice tour with beautiful views (and affordable). Small family owned business, too! I will say the glass bottom is actually just four glass bottom areas you have to lean over and see through, but still worth it.
I was expecting a real “glass bottom” boat like what I have ride on in Okinawa and Thailand. But this is just a boat with four glass bottom box that you have to keep your head down and make you seasick. Also it really depends on your luck to see any sea animals. On my day, we only get to see some fishes.
Our 2 captains did a great job of searching and finding ocean fish and turtles along with engaging information about the ocean and Waikiki.
Excellent trip what a wonderful and beautiful experience. Would go again next trip!! Love the submarine
Went for a cruise with Ian and Tristan and it was amazing. Not only did we learn a lot but they were both so welcoming and accommodating with the kids. Thank you both for a wonderful experience. Appreciate you both!!
