Elaine is a wonderful guide and bus operator. We had an amazing ride and she is funny and a joy to be around. You are lucky to have her.
The outlets are approx. 30 to 40 minutes drive from Waikiki. We took a private bus, so it was relaxing, tge transport was on time with fot the pick up and return trip. Still able yo get some good bargains from the stores, but do your homework before leaving home, as it will depend upon the exchange rate.
We confirmed with the provider prior to departure. They did not turn up to pick us up. Very distressing trying to contact them and in the end couldn't contact them and had to call Viator for some help. Definitely wouldn't recommend this service or company. Extremely poor customer service.
Could not fault this shuttle to the Waikele Outlet. Picked up on time, bus was clean and comfortable, and the driver was friendly and professional. Have taken this shuttle a few times now and it has always been great.
Driver was extremely nice and the bus was lovely and clean and cool. Picked up on time, no trouble whatsoever. Will definitely book again next time.
I had never been to premium outlets before (Apparently they have them in different states). To be honest, I wasn't impressed. I found much better bargains at the Aloha Stadium Swap Meet. Only $2 admission there too!
Georgia was an awesome driver and tour enthusiast! Highly recommend she is very professional. Robert’s Hawaii bus was very clean new and comfortable.
So easy and comfortable on large airconditioned coach. Driver was very friendly and prompt. Very good service
This shopping centre is way, way out of town, and the bus took us through less beautiful parts of Honolulu . All the big brand shops. The price tags show a certain amount, and the shop allows a discount - I saw 30 and 40%-, then they put tax onto it, and the final cost seems to be a little less than one would pay in Australia, so it is good shopping and a nice experience, but I cant know if it was better than other places which would have been closer. When it was time to be picked up, we were rather uncertain, and none of the others in the group seemed to be sure, and there was a bit of wandering around and speculating.
I’ve done this trip with Roberts numerous times before Covid with no issues. Previously you were able to pick a return time so you never had to rush however this has since changed. We were picked up 10 mins late and by the time we had finished the pick ups, we were then stuck in terrible traffic. We didn’t end up arriving until nearly 2 hours later. It ended up being a rushed day out at the outlets. Disappointed
The lovely air-conditioned Coach picked us up right across the street from our Hotel. A company rep was waiting to check us in and gave us the barcode to scan for our free VIP discount vouchers! Smooth ride driver was very nice and helpful. Clear instructions for where to get back on and what time we had to be back for the trip home. Different bus on the way home, but no hassles at all and the driver helped us on and off and with all of our shopping! Overall the best experience well worth it and great prices.
I was picked up on time for the outlet shopping. The bus was clean and not too busy. The options for going there and coming back was limited (there were more time slots before the pandemic). I also used their airport pick up and return. They don't come inside the airport anymore. So I went outside to search for the shuttle van after waiting inside for a good 15 minutes. I should have read the instructions but I had been taking the airport shuttle for 10 years before the pandemic. The return trip to the airport was 15 minutes early. The drivers are welcoming and friendly.
All the major brands in one place, not a cheap as I would have thought for an outlet. Ok if you have a day to spare and want to do some shopping.
Unbelievable. We have now been on the shuttle for an hour and are still threading through Waikiki picking up guests from different hotels. Never a mention that this was to be done. What could have been a thirty minute trip will now be at least an hour and a half. People around us stunned as well. Appalling. Can not recommend.
The bus there.. all happy and chatty bus driver... The return bus was delayed and late due to many people wanting the 4:45pm. So they ordered another bus which took 50 mins to come. The driver Dave was nice on the way there to the outlet obviously to try and get tips and then on the return was yelling at everyone and the asain people and people who didn’t understand English. He was so rude and aggressive. Finally on the bus and he is silent on the microphone and the driving quality is Agressive, fast and breaking was violent. For $10 USD I suppose that’s what you get. But honestly for the quality of the ride ,old buses and time wasted... get an Uber or hire a car. Peace!
Not enough seats for husbands to sit on and wait. Not enough eating and coffee areas to sit and have a break. Shops need to supply bench seats to sit on.
My sister and I were in Hawaii recently and chose to head to Waikele Shopping Outlets and took the Roberts shuttle. I have a couple things to note for future customers: (please note that I've taken other roberts shuttles before and they have NOT been like this) 1. The driver spoke very minimal English, and often switched languages without warning. So eventually people stopped listening, most people on this trip were Australian - and speak English. If any major communication was supposed to be made - we certainly missed it. 2. Hilton Garden Inn was the last stop to pick up for this trip, which I was not told or else I would've got on at another pickup stop. My sister has autism and I couldn't sit with her on the trip in case she had a meltdown. Not the mention the man I had to sit beside thought he deserved both seats (he was not overweight) and had terrible body odour, which of course I know Roberts cannot control, but it contributed to my poor experience. 3. The trip was advertised as 30 minutes when I booked it, however took roughly 40-45 to get there. 4. The employee at the Roberts Hawaii kiosk at Waikele was awful, I'd never received such bad service in a touristy area. She did not seem welcoming, and did not appear to want to be working at all. 5. The driver dropping us back at our hotel later that day was INCREDIBLY LOVELY though, and I wish we had her driving us earlier that day. Even though the drive back into Waikiki to our hotel took more than an hour, she dimmed the lights for people resting, talked to the ones that weren't, and gave commentary along the trip.
We decided to use the Roberts shuttle to the outlets as we thought it would be better to go with a large company for reliability. We wished we didn’t. The staff were non-responsive and rude. If you asked a question you were lucky to be acknowledged and get an answer (not that we had to ask very much). There was no welcome or hello when boarding the bus. It got us to the outlet and back but it certainly wasn’t a happy, pleasant holiday experience. Try to go with someone else and only use this service if you get stuck finding something else...
While nowhere near the scale of an Ala Moana mall, Waikele Outlet stores are a reasonably compact, broad range of brands that have some great bargains without busting the budget. A relatively short excursion from Waikiki (around 30 minutes once the pickups at the other hotels are done) this shuttle gives you a variety of return times in the afternoon so you can spend as little or as long as you want there. Eating options are interesting but limited so best to get a bite to eat before you set off.
On time hotel pick up. New buses with plenty of room for your shopping, ability to book on line and flexible in allowing for time changes. Cost effective way to get to the outlets if you don’t have a car.
I have used the Waikele shuttle service twice now and found it the most efficient way to get there and back.
This was definitely the cheapest and easiest way to get to the outlets. It may not feel organised at the start, but it comes together well. You will need to plan your visit as when you arrive at the outlet, you will need to book your return bus time, and stick to it. Good news, there is plenty of room on the bus for all of your shopping.
Last time I was here was 25 years ago and it was an amazing place to get a bargain - not so, anymore Not as many shops and not a lot different to normal prices
We had a lot of fun exploring this great outlet. It’s got all the name brand shops. Just a little disappointing in term of dining options when you want a break.
Went there with a bus shuttle from the hotel. It's a big place so plan your time to go there, we went in the morning and went home in the afternoon, had lunch there, average food but have some choices. We stayed in Waikiki area, this place it's a bit far so make sure you plan your journey as you don't want to rush in when shopping as I said the area is big with lots of shops with different brands. Before you book other transport or take uber to go there just check with the hotel that you are staying if they have a special shuttle to go here, surprisingly it cost cheaper than Uber and this outlet is popular so usually some hotel will offer transport, bringing a rental car is not recommended as the place is pack and hard to find parking spaces. Just be careful that some discount looks cheap but after currency exchange actually is not that cheap, some shops in Ala Moana Shopping centre or even Waikiki shops can offer the same thing, so we just went after brands that we don't have it in our country or some that were really cheap! But it's still a place worth to check out.
<p>A wonderful experience. A bus was there to pick us up. Caution take 09h00 and return later, gives one enough time to shop. We even bought a bag.</p>
<p>This outlet mall is well worth a visit if you love to shop. There is a good variety of stores, friendly staff in the stores, and great prices. The shuttle service drivers aren't especially friendly, nor are the staff who count guests on and off the buses and explain the return journey process - fortunately, the shuttle service is just transport and it is clean and comfortable which is the main thing. I took the 1020 shuttle from Waikiki and returned at 1400. This was a little rushed and it would be easy to spend a little longer at the mall - the journey takes about 30 minutes each way.</p>
<p>Great shuttle, picked up on time, staff were friendly and helpful. Would happily book again</p>
<p>Transfer service to and from the Waikele Outlet is organised and runs on time. Outlet stores include many top brands but they don't all have a broad range of products, and disappointed the Adidas store was closed limiting sports clothes options.</p>
<p>This was so great. Picked up in a large coach and then stop offs on the way for other passengers. Its about a 30 minute ride to the outlet stores. You then go with your voucher to a kiosk and adivse what time you want to leave. We chose 3pm but actually wished we had left earlier the 9.00am shuttle and left at 4.00pm we used the 10.00am shuttle and with the stops on the way cuts down the time. We didn't get into all the stores as we ran out of time. The bus driver on the way back gave a run down and explained lots to us about the local area and other things we past so we got a mini tour as well and he was so funny, he had the whole bus in fits of laughter. The shuttle was a large comfortable airconditioned coach. And the price of this trip was great value. The bus driver will ask for a tip but hey he told us so much about the area we obliged. His service was outstanding.</p>
<p>This turned out to be a very good excursion to these outlets for shopping. Competitive price, 15US per person, hour trip in comfortable air conditioned coach with options of staying 2-4hours.Much cheaper than a taxi which is around 80 US for a cab one way.Operated by Roberts Busline.</p>
<p>Excellent shopping experience with great bargains. Shuttle was easy and right at door. <br/> Well worth doing. Highly recommend</p>
<p>This tour didnt reach my ecpectations....was kind a dissapointed.... Not much time to spend on each stop just more on talking / history of hawaii more....plus the turtle island so many rules u cant go near wd them like 10foot away..very small island....nasty restroom....far from the place we swim...</p>
<p>If you are into shopping for high end Brand names then this is for you, as you can get some good deals. The trip is really just a bus ride out to the Outlet Centre and back.</p>
I usually go by rental car, but this time I used the shuttle bus for the first time. Three days later, I was unable to get the next day due to the time slot and number of people on the way back and forth by making an online reservation there. It was 20💲 per person round trip. I was sent a QR code and went to the meeting place on the day, but I was anxious because I had to wait for about 20 minutes. There was no confirmation of the QR code, so he identified himself before heading to the bus. We arrived in about 30 minutes, but the girls on board were impatient because the bus was delayed, so the shopping time was shortened. We stayed for about 3 hours, so it was nice to eat lunch and shop slowly.
Lots of clothing and sports casual brand stores with 70% discount! There is also a shuttle bus (10 dollars round trip), which is absolutely perfect for buying branded goods. It takes about an hour by bus from Waikiki, so it's definitely worth a visit if you have time.
