Honesty offered all the options and we were able to choose what we liked. She even showed me more options on my phone camera. I was not nervous once on the skill testing road. Our driver/guide, Ray, picked the two of us up at the resort. He was extremely knowledgeable about local history, including background about all of our stops on the tour. We did the road to Hana, we got pickup on time, Ray is very knowledgeable, we learned tons of local history, olelo words, benian trees, rainbows and my favorite part was the surprise stop to watch turtles. 1000% recommend the tour, but specially if it is done by Ray!

Our Road to Hana private tour with our guide, Honesty, was amazing! The vehicle was of course top notch, the scenic drive was breathtaking, and Honesty was such a genuine person and guide and taught us a lot throughout the day. She was prepped with ponchos, umbrellas, hand sanitizer, even toilet paper. Her knowledge of local fauna and even grabbing edible flowers for us to try was super fun. The weather was on our side the entire day with few crowds making for quicker stops at popular sites like Sandy's Banana Bread and a near crowd-less waterfall (which we climbed and jumped off of!). The Black Sand Beach might've been our favorite spot and was surreal to see in person. Would highly recommend the splurge and booking fully private, so you aren't subject to waiting for other guests' throughout the day. We were able to tailor exactly how 'adventurous' we wanted to be and where we wanted to eat, see, and do throughout the day.

Rick picked us up at our hotel. He was actually a few minutes early, so very prompt! We had a terrific day. He grew up in Hawaii and was very knowledgeable about the foliage and the sights of interest. The Road to Hana is a difficult drive for those not familiar with it. There are many one lane bridges and 600+ twists and turns. I would highly recommend getting a driver who has done the route many, many times. Rick is a fantastic driver and we felt very safe. The Cadillac Escalade was super comfortable! Rick made a special effort for us to see the Green Sea Turtles on the beach!

This was the best decision of our whole trip. Five years earlier, my husband and I attempted the Road to Hana on our own, and only made it about halfway before turning around. This time coming with our kids, we decided to hire a private tour. We met our tour guide, Lorenzo, early in the morning at Pa’ia Coffee. Lorenzo was the highlight of the day - full of energy, stories and chose the best stops along the way. He also made us feel immediately comfortable with his driving on what is a very daunting road. I would highly recommend this tour and specifically Lorenzo to anyone who wants to really enjoy the Road to Hana. Thank you from our whole family, Lorenzo!

While it was still a long day, this seems like a great way to take the Road to Hana journey. This tour picks you up at your hotel and drops you off. The Road to Hana is definitely a "it's the journey, not the destination" type of activity. Hana town is small and only has a few things to see. It's really the drive there and back and the stops you make along the way that make this trip worth it. Our experience was definitely enhanced by taking this tour. Lance, our driver/tour guide, was very knowledgeable. His knowledge of the different types of trees and flowers was amazing. It is also an efficient way to go through the stops, as he brought us or pointed us to where we should be going. It saves time trying to figure out what you are supposed to do. Also, for the most part, you avoid the pain of having to find parking, which can be difficult in some of the attractions. We were fortunate in this trip that it did not rain and we only had to stop a couple of minutes while passing two construction zones. Otherwise, it was a very speedy ride through the whole thing. Got to the start (mile marker 0) around 8am and was back out by 230pm. We're not big into hiking or swimming at the beaches there, so that saved us quite a bit of time. As an FYI - there were not too many places to change. You also have to be selective with the bathrooms, which Lance kept on reminding us to go at the better ones. There were indeed a lot of hairpin turns and one lane bridges. I can see how the ride could get some people dizzy, but we fortunately got through the whole thing unscathed. The bigger worry is missing things because the drive itself can make you feel sleepy. A popular stop is the black sand beach was a good thing to see. I believe it is in the Wai'anapanapa State Park. Hard to walk through the black sand, as it is rocky and digs in as you step. Also, there were a good amount of people swimming there. The view itself is probably worth it though. There is a blowhole on the other side of the park, but the waves were not strong enough so we did not think it was worth the hike. One highlight is Auntie Sandy's banana bread. This was not overhyped. It's really good. It was moist and delicious. There were no real lines when we got there, so we were in-and-out pretty quickly. Lunch is included in the price of the tour and we were given a choice of where to eat. We ended up just slightly past Hana town and tried Uncle Russell's huli huli chicken. This was featured in Gordon Ramsay's Uncharted show. This did not disappoint. The stall is also in a red sand beach area, so that is another bonus of going to this place. We got there slightly before noon, so there was no crowd. The other choices were food trucks in Hana town. Close to the end of the tour, we stopped by a beach where you could see turtles laying out. This was in the mid-afternoon, so you can easily see them. You could also see some swim in the water. By contrast, in Kauai, when we saw turtles, it would be after sunset so it's kind of hard to see them. Overall, a good adventure and taking this tour, in my opinion, made the trip much more enjoyable. You're also less tired at the end of the day, as the hairpin turns and mountain roads can take its toll.

He especially loved sharing stories and information about Maui and Hawaii, which made the experience even more enjoyable. We truly could not have asked for a better guide. This was such a great experience! Our kids (17,13,7) all loved it! Scott was a fantastic guide, he filled us in on the history of Maui and showed us the best places. The schedule was flexible and gave us time to enjoy the spectacular sights.

Lance was our guide. He arrived promptly to pick us up and had snacks and drinks in the car for us. He was very knowledgable abou the island. He took us on many stops throughout the Road to Hana. We saw many waterfalls (my son and I even jumped off one and we swam in the water below), the black sand beach which was incredible, we spent almost 2 hours there, many terrific food stand (Sandy's Banana Bread, Hana Farms, Coconut Glen's), saw the Red Sand Beach, had some Huli Huli chicken on the red sand beach and lucked out and got to see 40+ sea turtles on the way home. Lance also stopped at one or two spots we passed that he doesn't normally stop at but we asked him about.

We came with our family, a party of ten. Six of which were our three grown children and their significant others and the four of us parents, my wife, myself, our son and his wife. The four of us rode with Lance and Scott took the kids all of whom are 21 and older. From the time they picked us up in two black Escalades at our rental home we were greeted by both drivers standing outside of the vehicles at the ready with a stocked cooler in the back. There was a sense of family from the very beginning. We were relaxed and comfortable as we drove and Lance was full of Island info and facts as we traveled. And not your typical tour guide jargon, just nice conversation and so many fun facts along with Island history. We were immediately connected to Lance as he is just a great guy and so real. No phony BS or scripted dialogue. We had taken the road to Hana a few years ago on a tour bus and this was a completely different experience. We could stop where we wanted and not stop where we didn’t want to. These guys are at your service all the way. We never felt rushed when we stopped at different places and…they paid for our lunches! Yes! It’s part of the package! When we got out at our first stop, the kids shared with us that they were enamored with Scott as well. Their words were, “he’s really cool!” That’s quite a challenge as well as quite a compliment with six Gen- Z-ers in your back seat! These two guys love their job and it showed! They took us to waterfalls where everyone could swim and jump from the rocks, as well as a surprise visit to see giant sea turtles laying out on a protected beach. Needless to say, we got much more then we bargained for! I would highly suggest if you are going to take the road to Hana, book your tour privately with this company! Not only will you get to see all of the beauty you might otherwise miss, but you will walk away with knowledge about the island’s history and memories that can not be duplicated. Great service! Scott was very efficient even showed up a few minutes early to get the day started. Having this service made the day amazing and stress free. We had our 3 children with us, 4 , 6 and 8. The car was stocked with drinks and snacks. Scott was able to get us to all the great stops before all the traffic , we were able to see so many sights along the road. We learned so much about the Hawaiian culture and history! We did the Road to Hana Tour. Scott was out driver. He was at the hotel before time. Very friendly and very knowledgeable. Shared a lot stories related to Maui. That was very interesting for all of us in the group. The car was very clean and stocked with water, soda, chips and energy bars. Scott took a lot of excellent photos at every stop. The Road to Hana is a full day tour with around 600 curves and 59 single lane bridges. The roads are also narrow. He drove very carefully which also ensured that none of us in the car felt any motion sickness. I will surely recommend ExclusiveLimoMaui to all my friends traveling to Maui. Fantastic all-day private tour to paradise on earth! Recent rainfall made the landscape a real world Jurassic Park, with breathtaking waterfalls, streams and greenery. The five of us went on the Road to Hana with Lance as our guide. We were nervous because we had heard the road was treacherous and we had two people who had a propensity for motion sickness. Lance was knowledgeable, sensitive and safe. He was careful to make sure everyone was comfortable. He even had ginger lollipops to soothe upset stomachs! Lance was our driver for the day. Originally planned Road to Hana, however, parts were closed due to Kona storms. He developed a beautiful day for us based on our interests. History, culture, with humor, and excellent conversation. We were able to see much of the island we would not have otherwise seen. Beautiful waterfalls, green turtles, the art of glassblowing, some beautiful quaint towns, and the most amazing dinner opportunity with breathtaking views. Lance took us on an all day tour to Hana. He was excellent in knowledge, driving, and our trip was interesting. I would highly recommend this personal tour. We had Great stops, picture moments and it was very personalized to us.

My husband did a ton of research for Hana and all roads led to Lance. He was an excellent tour guide and thoughtful driver for 2 people prone to car sickness. He made the tour so enjoyable and described so many things along the way. He went out of his way for us…even going back to pick up something we left at one of the stops. We never felt rushed and we were able to fit in everything we requested. Bring water and hiking shoes. I would recommend bringing a couple of towels and changes of clothes per person since there are a few water stops. Be prepared if you have motion sickness. I would recommend Lance and this company to anyone considering Hana. If you drive yourself you’ll miss so many things and may have high anxiety trying to maneuver this road. We’ve heard the Road to Hana leads to the road to divorce for some…lol don’t be those people.

Our trip to Hana was guided by Rich, and he was fantastic. We were traveling with two kids, and he was incredibly accommodating—making stops as needed and keeping everything relaxed and enjoyable. He was extremely knowledgeable about the area and shared so much along the way. We spent about 10 hours on the tour, and it flew by. Rich provided snacks and drinks and even took us to a local spot for amazing huli huli chicken. The vehicle was exceptionally clean and very comfortable.
