⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Rappelling at Umauma Falls was hands-down one of the most unforgettable experiences I’ve ever had in Hawaiʻi. From the moment we arrived, the views were unreal—lush jungle, powerful waterfalls, and that instant wow feeling you can’t capture in photos. The guides were incredible: professional, calm, and genuinely fun. They made sure everyone felt safe and confident every step of the way, whether it was your first time or you’re a total adrenaline junkie. Their energy alone made the experience even better. Descending alongside a roaring waterfall, feeling the mist on your face, and looking out over the valley is something I’ll never forget. It was the perfect mix of adventure and natural beauty. If you’re on the Big Island and looking for a once-in-a-lifetime adventure, this is it. I would 100% do it again and recommend it to anyone—locals and visitors alike. Book it. You won’t regret it.

Eric and Andrew were amazing guides! I had so much fun rappelling! I was solo and joined a group with one other couple. The guides made me feel really safe, especially as I learned more about their experiences canyoneering in the past! I think this is a great activity to do alone, but it would be even more fun with your family and friends! I highly recommend this activity!

If your are lucky enough to have Preston and Michael be your guides then you will be blessed with the friendliest and most capable guides you could ask for. Both have experience in the outdoors that goes beyond just canyoning. They keep you safe while making sure that you have moments to remember. They were incredibly helpful at helping us to record those memories The route itself was challenging but doable for a beginner (me). The water was clear and beautiful and I could’ve stayed around to play in the pools all day.

Fantastic experience rappelling! Guides Eric and Leilani were awesome! Both were really professional and fun. They made sure you were safe but not overbearing. Eric definitely has enough experience to gauge others experience and provide the appropriate guidance. If you’re looking for some excitement in the Hilo area, I highly recommend this company!

We had a phenomenal experience with Preston and Kendall as our guides! 5/5 for sure! We had teens from 18-12 years old and were a family of 6 total. Preston and Kendall were amazing and made sure we felt safe yet challenged us as we rappelled and swam through the waterfalls. The experience lasted 4 hours but we didn’t even think about the time as it was so peaceful yet challenging.

It was my first time repelling down a waterfall and Talmor and Michael were exceptional guides 🌈they made the experience easy & fun. I would recommend adventuring with them to anyone!

Eric, Michael, and Talmor lead us down the waterfall rappel and it was amazing in all ways. They were knowledgeable, safe, and curated a special day for us all. Could not recommend this company and tour enough. 100% the best activity on Hawai’i Island.

What a trip this was. Eric and Michael were so much fun and just super chill. It rained on us a little bit, but we didn't care because getting wet and dirty is part of this adventure. If you really want a jungle type adventure this is the place to go. The repels were amazing. Especially the 1st one down the ravine to your first waterfall spot. Bring bug spray too because mosquitoes are thick in that area. They had all the equipment for us, like the harness, shoes and wet suits, but you can wear your own if you'd like. Also be prepared to get very wet and to get a little muddy. This is one of the best things to do on Big Island and I highly recommend if you're a real adventurer type. Not for your average tourist

The Umauma Triple-Tier Waterfall Rappel and River Tour was absolutely fantastic. Beautiful waterfalls, great hiking and lots of swimming. The best part by far were the two phenomenal guides, Preston and Michael, who kept us safe and provided perfect support and direction. We have 4 kids ranging from 13-20yrs old and they all had a great time. Such a unique was of experiencing the beauty of the Big Island - it's a must!

Michael and Preston did an amazing job orienting us to the safety and technique for rappelling and making us feel confident and comfortable! There is a "bunny hill" to learn the technique before you rappel down the waterfall so we could enjoy ourselves and the beauty of the waterfall! We had a lot of fun and would definitely recommend if you are looking for a thrilling activity.
