Umauma Falls Deluxe Atv Waterfall And Swim Experience

Sometimes when the universe sends you a little nudge you should listen! I met Maka'Ala at my hotel lobby because he was promoting this tour-- and I just happened to inquire about fun and adventurous things the day before. He convinced me (but, honestly, with very little effort) to join and to helped me navigate, secured me a ride (with their GM John and the ops manager Mahi), and watched my brain crash out over how to drive an ATV. Rachel saved me! Best personalities, kindest people, friendly through and through-- definitely embodying the spirit of Aloha.

We had a wonderful time, the tour guides were amazing and made our experience fun and memorable.

We had a family of four and rode in two side by sides which was the 100% way to go. We had a blast. It was rainy and slippery on the course, but it made it really fun. We got covered in mud so wear something you can get dirty. We were super dirty, but we were soaked and it was awesome. We also stopped to swim at the waterfalls and it was beautiful and so refreshing. Loved our guides! It was a solid hour ride.

My family had the most amazing experience on this excursion! The facility was gorgeous, the ATV ride so much fun. Be ready to get muddy!! Our tour guides were so friendly, three of them with just five people on our trip so plenty of help if needed! Kalea, Manu, and Aiden- thank you!! I can check off swimming in a waterfall off my bucket list. The gardens were so lovely and peaceful. My favorite thing I did in Hawaii-

The bikes are super old. Like really old. They need to get new ones for that amount of money for the tour. We had 20 minutes to spend at the waterfall. Not enough time to even change or slightly dry off. The leader seemed very tired and there wasn’t much communication at all. They were nice enough but they just seemed like they were going through the motions. The course isn’t really a course. You’re just weaving through a small area. Pretty lackluster experience overall, sadly. We went in a tour in Mexico that was amazing! Great bikes with amazing terrain. So that all we have to compare it to.

We had a great time at the tour! We we're welcomed by 2 guides who was knowledgeable and interactive (sorry i forgot their names but 1 of it was their last week :( They kept us safe and gave us lots of recs.. My boyfriend booked the tour for us, and I felt very hesitant due to weather but we had so much fun. It was just the 2 of us on the tour and we felt VVIP. It was pricey however worth every penny especially with the service, view, and private waterfall experience. I would highly recommend it to all visiting the island.

Our ATV ride was fun but it was billed as an hour and a half and was only 1 hour. For 4 people, it was $1000- a lot of money for an hour activity. Also, we were filthy afterwards. I did not see any mention on their web site or after I booked that we would get so dirty. We did bring extra clothes, luckily but had to replace my teens' shoes once we got home; the dirt would not come out after being washed. So add another $330 for new shoes to the bill. Please let people know they will likely get very dirty and should wear old clothes and shoes.

We did the ATV tour it was so much fun. The guides were super friendly. The views of the ocean were incredible. There is a 3 tier waterfall that is absolutely gorgeous.

Wha a great way to spend a few hours. The sites are stunning, the water fall was relaxing! Our guides were friendly, fun and full of knowledge. Looking out at all the scenery was worth it all!

Umauma was beautiful, tour guide was okay, and the waterfall dip was 10/10. If you are experienced UTV riders this course will seem like a baby course for ya, but if you’re in it for the experience and waterfall dip, absolutely incredible

Due to the dry weather it was very dusty. Highly recommend that you use the goggles they recommend and don’t rely on your sunglasses since that will NOT protect your eyes from the dust. I imagine that if it was rainy out you would also want the goggles to protect your eyes from the mud. The guys had a blast and the lead did a very nice fast pace for us. Somewhat disappointed since we didn’t realize it was just a path around the property not thru a forest of trees. The swim experience was fun at first but then we realized that we were getting bitten by red ants which are known to bite you when you are in the water. I think the guides should forewarn you of this! However it was good that they provided alcohol wipes to soothe the pain away after getting bitten. Just be aware that you could get bitten while swimming.

I went to Umauma Falls with my family; one went ziplining and the rest on the ATV tour. Our guides were engaging, professional, fun, knowledgeable. Thank you to the staff for making this a beautiful, thrilling adventure.

We spent 10 days in Hawaii and this experience was one of the best in the time we had. Our tour guides were fantastic - they helped everyone make sure they had the best time possible and adjusted on the fly for experience levels. The water falls were gorgeous and the snack was perfectly timed to get out and stretch a little. Definitely be prepared to change into different clothes after the trip; there's plenty of places to get a little dirty and we made sure to hit them all!

Incredible experience with the family. Everything about this atv tour was top notch. From the fabulous guides to the amazing views of the waterfalls. A definite must do on Kona Island. My family and I highly recommend it!

Mateo and Caden were great. Such a unique experience with the ATVs plus the chance to swim in a natural pool + waterfall. Great facilities.

This experience is cemented as the best tour we’ve been on across all of our vacations! I brought my 12 year old son and we had a blast! Got muddy, did the cliff dive, stand up paddle boarding and all the things. Highly recommend, and not just because they said I was the best driver 😉 I wish I would have gotten photos of after we got a good mud bath.

Not worth the money . The promised views were nothing special . Waterfall was nothing special. Leaders were sweet enough. If you’re staying near Kona, this was a very long (but pretty) drive for a very subpar experience.

A great experience! Very fun driving through the rugged fields, and the views and scenery are amazing! All of the staff is super friendly and helpful to assure a memorable awesome time.

Cha cha and Cholie were fantastic guides. Really friendly and knowledgeable. Highly recommend these ladies and this tour. We had a ball. Do recommend a change of clothes for after the ride. Expect to get dirty

Excellent experience from start to finish. Our tour guides were patient, professional, informative and fun. Beautiful scenery and doesn’t come across as commercialized. Worth the time and money!

Wear a bandana around your face & do not wear white clothing! Chloe and Alicia were amazing tour guides were fantastic guides both on the tour and at the falls.

Our tour guides during the ATV rides were super knowledgeable about the land and we’re really patient with getting everybody to learn how to ride an ATV

The staff except for 1 girl was very nice and very helpful! She got mad at a little boy because he kept jumping off where he wasn’t supposed to and took her anger out on us! There were only 7 lines as 2 were having maintenance but I was refunded 30%! The water at the waterfall had tons of algae in it and very rocky which made it treacherous! My grandkids didn’t mind but the adults did! They didn’t have enough water boards so had to share and some people wouldn’t share! They fixed us turkey sandwiches but the drinks and water was hot! Worth nowhere close to what I paid for it! Will definitely not go back!

The location is beautiful. You have a lot of options of activities to include sightseeing. We enjoyed the ATV ride and the waterfall was stunning and relaxing. The facilities for restroom, shower and/or changing are clean. The views are phenomenal!

The guides were fun and helpful. We had a great time and even mustered up the courage to jump off the cliff to the water (ok not a cliff but it felt high when we were standing up there;) Awesome views on trails! We took my 78 year old dad along with our kids and their significant others that were 19-24 and all had a great time.

We booked two adventures with Umauma Experience to fill our day. We drove from Kona and spent the morning going through 9 zip lines, took a break, then had lunch and relaxed in the park. They have a cafe if you do not want to pack food you can purchase in their cafe. Then we had our second adventure which my family rated the best! We drove ATVs to their waterfall and swam. We ended our day with their pineapple vanilla swirl ice cream. The staff were super nice and very helpful! We look forward for another booking with this tour.

Great experience! The single person ATV's were harder to drive then we expected but still fun. The waterfall was stunning. Staff was helpful, friendly, kind and easy to work with. Beautiful way to spend my son's 23rd birthday!

My nephew and I got lucky, we were the only ones on the tour; the amazing guides (Chloe, Amanda, Saire) individualized the trip to us since they had the leeway, which made for an amazing experience we won’t forget! The stop at the waterfall with paddle boards was serene with just the two of us. Chloe also found a ripe guava for us to try! The crew was fabulous, I can’t speak their praises enough!

MUST DO IF YOU’RE ON THE BIG ISLAND! The staff was very funny and welcoming, me and my fiancée were visiting the island and got there two hours early. The place is absolutely beautiful, and very calm. The ATV ride with the waterfall was one of our top moments from our vacation. If you’re on the island please stop by! You won’t be disappointed

My boyfriend (30) and I (28) had the best time on the ATV tour! The guides were awesome and did a great job explaining how to operate the ATV and lead us through a super fun trail. The best part was the waterfall!! It was an easy walk down stairs to get there and then you had access to a pretty waterfall with a great place to swim. They also had paddle boards to use which was a fun touch. I would definitely recommend this tour!

The experience and staff were excellent in every regard. The facilities were great. The operation was top notch from top to bottom.

We did the ATV experience and it was awesome. We had the most perfect tour guides that made the adventure even better. Watching videos on Youtube ahead of time did not do justice to how enjoyable it actually was. Would definitely recommend doing this while you are in the area. Absolutely beautiful and well maintained property. Sooo much to see. Don't forget to please tip your tour guides as they really seem to add their own personality to the experience and make sure you have the best time possible while visiting their home.

Amazing experience!! Staff was super helpful and friendly, the ride was a lot of fun and the waterfall and pond were absolutely gorgeous and SO refreshing. One callout: consider bringing a bandana or face covering to protect your face from dust or mud!

This was an amazing trip that utilize all five senses. We can feel the breeze as we traveled and taste the clay as we rode through the ATV trails. We could smell nature as we travel throughout, and we can see beauty In every direction. It was an amazing experience, and I recommended for anyone who wants to engage in the island instead of just viewing it.

We had the best time. The guides were great. Definitely bring a change of clothes. You will get dirty/muddy. Near the end of the ride, we stopped at a pond with a waterfall. Great experience!

We’ve been here 3 times and we absolutely love this place. Kiana is the best tour guide there is. The ride is fun, exhilarating and the swim spot is so refreshing. We will be returning!!!

Very fun! We got to swim in the waterfall ( and jump in) Great guides! Been prepared to get muddy! We did this tour with our 15 year old daughter and she loved it too! We also did the 9 line zip tour and it was fabulous as well. Highly recommend!

Experience was one of the best on the Island. We went when it was raining and it made it a lot more fun and we got very muddy. Chloe and Kiana were great guides and made sure that we saw everything in the property and got plenty of pictures.

So much fun! Facility is very well kept with nice grounds, plenty of staff, amenities like restrooms and showers. All staff was very friendly and our guides Chloe and Alysha were knowledgeable, fun and very attentive. The waterfalls and views are spectacular. Our family really enjoyed this experience.

We had an absolute blast on this tour. My husband and I got a side-by-side and the tour guides were friendly and knowledgeable. They did a great job of leading the group and we stopped in a couple places for some pictures. The waterfall and swim area was absolutely gorgeous.

A nice activity to do with the family for the afternoon. The trails were fun, had beautiful views, and the pond for the swim portion was an awesome time! 10/10 would recommend travelers (or locals like myself) to do. Ashlyn and Zamar were the best tour guides and were really nice and helpful through the experience!!

Four of us did single ATVs - our 17 and 19 year old kids LOVED it!! We thought it would be some sort of path but it’s a legit trail with deep ruts and had rained so muddy. Added to the fun and thrills. The views were nice and the waterfall was beautiful! Loved our guide. 10/10!

The first part of the ride was excellent with lots of challenging terrain. The swimming part was nice. The ride after the swimming part was a little short and disappointing as compared to last year. The tour guide took us through more trails after the swim part last year. We were looking forward to it this year, but the ride abruptly ended.

We did the deluxe Atv tour and it was just the two of us, the world private tour experience. We were not able to swim due to extreme rainy days prior to the tour. However, the tour guides were extremely informative and genuinely interested in providing us information . We were also able to grab some freshly picked strawberry guivies and guavas.
