The performers were all having fun, but they had an intensity that proved they loved doing what they do. And a love and appreciation for the beautiful valley that shines through in the performance. Best experience on the island, giving us true appreciation for this wonderful culture and its ancestry.

The Luau was wonderful. Everyone was friendly and helpful. There was a lot of hands on activities. The food was excellent. The entertainment was first rate.
Very professional and organized. Food was really good. Special shout out to Pearl. We forgot to request a vegetarian meal for someone in our group, and she was quick to remedy for us. Activities and performances were amazing. Drinks were really good as well. Worth the drive.
This was our first ever luau, so no basis of comparison, but overall I was a bit disappointed. The performers were very good, but the location and food were disappointing. I was hoping for authentic Hawaiian fare. We were served shredded pork, macaroni salad and a dry store bought roll. The luau was held in a large party tent, which I believe was needed due to recent weather damage to their normal venue, but it was disappointing just the same.
The stories of the families that run the event, the dancers, and the fire dancers, all in such a beautiful setting.
It was the best experience. The entertainment was awesome, the food was awesome and everything was just great.
The best Luau I have ever experienced. Authentic and informative. And of course entertaining. Not to mention the food. Really terrific.
I was well worth it. Entertainment and food was excellent. Loved everything. Very interactive. Would do it again
The experience was one of a lifetime! My wife and I really enjoyed the culture, you guys made us feel so welcome and the atmosphere was genuinely amazing. We will visit again. By the was the food was awesomely delicious!!!!
The falls close at 4 and you have to get there earlier to visit the falls and valley before hand. There were no food choices
The passion, energy and authenticity is amazing. From activities in the beginning all the way to the fire dancing, it was full of aloha.
The natural setting is beautiful with the flowers, botanical garden. The served meal is very good with big portions. The educational piece of the entertainment is great for kids and adults. The dances and entertainment, fantastic. The ticket gets you into Waimea falls and the botanical gardens. We made a half day for this event and it was good value for the money.
Beautiful experience, the location is amazing. Wish I would have had more time to explore. Everyone there was so fun and sweet. The food was so delicious! Highly recommend this place! Atmosphere and ambiance is amazing, the staff make you feel like family.
UNDER CONSTRUCTION. The venue has potential and I’m sure before they started construction it was amazing. However, the the amount of money paid was not really worth being under over packed tent. They let us know about a week before our date they were under construction but guaranteed it would still be great. You could tell it was scaled down. And even having a stage, you could hardly see toward the back.
This luau was an incredible experience! My husband and I had the best time. The people were so friendly. The host was charismatic, funny, and so welcoming. Food and drinks were 10/10! Would definitely return and recommend to anyone in Oahu!
Was a great time and the food was very good. A long drive from where we were staying but that was on me for not checking. It was worth the drive in the long run. Everyone was very happy with the experience.
We really enjoyed the luau. We got there a couple hours early so that we could hike to Waimea falls - which was well worth it. The dinner and show were very good. The after-dinner performance did seem to drag on, but the performers were very skilled and did a great job. Overall it was a full and enjoyable night.
This luau is absolutely phenomenal and was definitely the highlight of our trip to Hawaii!!! If you are looking for an authentic luau this is the one! One of the most magical and memorable evenings of my life. I was absolutely captivated by the beauty of the land and dancers. The meal was amazing as well. There is not one negative thing I could say about this. Well worth the money.
Absolutely amazing!! Highly recommend this authentic luau that highlights all the Polynesian Island traditions and culture. Every thing was absolutely wonderful!! The food was delicious and fresh. The “pre-show” was informative and interesting and involved the guests. The host was energetic, funny and engaging. The story of the cultures was interesting and involved the guests. One of our family members has been to other luaus and said this is the best he has ever attended. If you are looking for a fun, authentic, entertaining, informative and delicious experience, book the Toa Luau!!
Such a great Luau experience. The performances were so captivating and we enjoyed every moment.
Everything was perfect, the cast and crew were so friendly and helpful. Can’t wait to comeback again for our honeymoon.
Best thing we did in Hawaii! Went for our honeymoon and wanted to visit an authentic luau, and this was more! It was interactive with teaching us the way of Polynesian life. My husband explained that we learned the cultural history through experiencing it. The food was amazing and all you can eat was nice so I could try the cake a second time. There was comedy, performances, and a welcoming vibe! I will definitely return next chance I go to Hawaii!
This is an awesome local luau! The pre-dinner experience included a few native Hawaiian activities, which was nice. The “master of ceremonies” was very entertaining and informative. The dancing… phenomenal! The meal was delicious too. I loved starting the evening out with a beautiful real lei. The only things I wasn’t crazy about were: dinner was served on paper plates; and secondly that even though we had “gold” seating, it was tricky to see the stage as other guests blocked my view. Perhaps they can raise the stage or somehow tier the seating. We did enjoy some Waimea Valley activities earlier in the day (swimming, seeing the botanicals). Wish they would consider upgrading their infrastructure and consider better bathrooms and changing rooms; maybe an inconspicuous handrail to get into the water? I did see signs of construction so I wish them all the best for positive growth! Would recommend.
Great show, good food, amazing location, fun Pre show activities, amazing host/cousins. Highly recommend..
Great show, great food! Performers were so good and engaging. Loved all the stops and distinct island dances. Loved all the little activities before the luau. Give yourself extra time to walk to the falls and swim. It was very cool and refreshing.
Great food, great price, & super entertaining. They are welcoming and deserve all the success! Support local businesses!!
We scheduled this luau on our 10 year wedding anniversary and we are so glad we did! Everyone was so gracious, the tables were beautifully set, delicious food and helpful instructors! The show was marvelous and entertaining!
Awesome Experience!! We were here celebrating our 60th wedding anniversary and they gave us special recognition during the show. The whole show was Wonderful!!
Great performance and really good food
Great experience, and it felt immersive and truly authentic. The people were kind and welcoming and the food was great. They have great staff and the dancing was great. 10000/10, definitely recommend
Great luau with interactive stations to start, excellent storytelling, and great production and staff.
Includes a day at the botanical gardens and a waterful that you can swim at. Pre-show and show was very entertaining and lasted over 3 hours. We had VIP seating with 3 drink tickets each. (See pics) The food was very good and you can ask for more!! They recognized birthdays with a special treat and anniversary/newlywed couples with a necklace. The only negative is they fit 10 chairs at the table. Their should be NO more than 8 per table. Very squishy.
Best experience ever, food was great and my kids really enjoyed it. The dancers were beautiful and the speaker cracked jokes which made the night go so fast! There were activities in which they show you parts of their culture and it was just all in all a 10/10!
By far one of my favorite experiences while visiting Oahu. The location is beautiful with plenty to see. The food was delicious and the show was amazing. Leave yourself some extra time before your reservation to explore their gardens and trails. Lots of placards with knowledge and tidbits of historic Hawaiian ways of life and a waterfall at the top of the trail. The limit of people allowed per session helps to make it a better experience so make sure you book ahead of time. Would absolutely recommend this Luau to anyone visiting Oahu.
The food was delicious, especially the chicken and the rice!! I wish they had given the option of what to eat though but they just bring the food out all at once, including dessert. The show was amazing and the fire show was on point too!
This is our second time booking Toa Luau and honestly they DO NOT disappoint The staff is absolutely amazing the show is entertaining and I just love the vibes they make you feel like family. Came to with my family including 2 under 2 and my 2 yr old had his eyes glued on stage even my 10 month old was dancing and clapping. On top of the luau you get to enjoy the botanical garden and the beautiful waterfall. Don’t think twice just book it it’s worth it.
All the people you see at this Luau work ALL aspects of the experience. Greeting, cooking, dancing, cleaning, everything. Very personable, informative. I felt like family the entire time. And let’s not forget the FOOD!!!! I hurt myself it was so good. And large portions also. I’m not sure what’s going on with the macaroni salad fam but keep it up. Aloha and Maholo.
Toa luau was so awesome we were entertained from the start to the end.
Wow! Before dinner, you’re provided with a window into daily food culture and prep. This was a fun yet educational experience! After dinner, the troupe performed ceremonial dances from pacific islands too.
We both had a really good time here. The hosts were very fun and helpful at showing you the various activities before the dinner. The food itself was great and very filling The after dinner show was great, lots of good skilled performers of different dances and fire spinning To top it all off it’s in a beautiful location in Waimea valley and taking a walk up to the waterfall afterwards was a nice and relaxing end to the day. Definitely recommend this experience!
Rain or Shine the show will go on! It was amazing food was incredible. Tao family are so hospitable. They became part of our family.
The food was great! The cost included a tour of the gardens and the waterfall. you could even swim in the pool under the waterfall.
This is the ULTIMATE luau experience! I honestly do not have enough positive things to say; this was such a great time, and I’m so glad we chose this luau given all of the options. You will not be disappointed!
This is a great time, we all loved it! Very personable experience and would recommend it to anyone!!
This luau is well worth the price! The cultural experience and demos before hand add to the event! They truly care about their visitors and put on a great show! Food was all very good! We’ve been to other luaus and this has been the best!
Delightful, wonderful luau with a really authentic Aloha family vibe. The hosts were so generous and helped me with a small transportation issue I had, really above and beyond. Fantastic show! Please note you will probably not have any bars/service in this location which could be an issue for those wanting to contact rides or babysitters etc. 5 stars!
Very good , lively really enjoyed . Meal was great too . Huge portions . Did the night one and fire show was great
I would give this Luau ten stars if I could! Too much to rave about, just left the luau and very tired! So please, make the Tao Luau the choice for experience! Highly recommend this amazing family team! You will not be disappointed in this invigorating experience.
This lua is great. The interactive food prep demo and cooking demonstration was fascinating. The food was truly excellent. The food is brought to you, which is an excellent touch and you can still eat all you want. The staff and performers create family atmosphere and really delve into the various Polynesian cultures represented in the performance.
We have been visiting Hawaii for over 40 years and have seen countless luaus. Without a doubt this was the best we've seen. The performers were authentic and the MC was terrific. Lots of interaction with the audience. The crowd ages ranged from 6 80 and everyone left with a huge smile. We'll be back.
