Swimming With Wild Dolphins Speedboat Adventure On Oahu

We enjoyed our day with Captain Jason and charming crew, sad that there were no dolphins but enjoyed the beautiful pristine beauty of the west shore. Thanks for a lovely day❤️

Jason was an awesome captain and kept us safe and happy. I was grateful he was able to share some Hawaiian culture with us. Brooke and Ken were both awesome, fun, just all around great people. Jake who did photos was truly a gem and we so enjoyed hanging out with all of them. But the most awesome part was when we got in the water and the dolphins came to join us! Epic! Could not believe how amazing it was. Would highly recommend.

Captains Jason and Lena along with hands Brooke and Ken and photographer Jake kept everyone happy, feeling comfortable, and entertained during the longish search for dolphins. While we didn’t find any roving pods of dolphins or other large creatures when cruising far from shore, when we stopped for a snorkel, we were lucky enough to have a pod of spinners come visit us! What a treat. We also appreciated Jason’s deep respect for and connection with the ‘aina, kai and moana, and his joy and passion for sharing his culture with us. Mahalo nui loa!

Had a great time. Lovely staff, they made sure everyone had a good time. We saw a lot of dolphins that came up very close, even one with a baby. The whole experience was just amazing and only the view of the island from the boat was worth the trip.

Such a great crew honestly made the trip so good couldn’t have asked for a better experience !! I know they said to write down names but every single one of them was so much help I hope they never change and continue thriving the way they do 100/10 experience

Today we went on the Speed Drive dolphin swim boat tour and it was honestly AMAZING! Ryan, Ken, Katie and Matthew were all so nice and made the whole experience even better. We learned so much about dolphins and I’m so grateful to all of them. I really couldn’t have asked for a better experience! Everything was so well organized, the weather was perfect, and honestly, I can already tell this is going to be one of the best memories of my life. 🥹🌺 I 10000% recommend this company and I would definitely do it all over again! 🐬💙

We did this tour on our honeymoon, and it was a highlight of the trip! We swam with wild dolphins, and hearing them underwater was a magical experience. Our captain Jason did an excellent safety briefing with us and guided our boat expertly. Lucas and Ken were great guides in the water and made sure everyone got to see both the dolphins and the turtles. Jess, our photographer, took some excellent pictures, so we didn't have to worry about trying to get photos on our phones the whole time. Overall a wonderful experience! Would definitely recommend.

Snorkeled with two kinds of dolphins, several turtles, an octopus, starfish, a manta ray and many other fish. Our family of eight very much enjoyed Captain Jason and his crew (Yuya, Ken and Travis). They clearly love their job and I would recommend them highly!

Amazing day at sea swimming with wild dolphins, we saw so many of them! We then went on to snorkel with turtles and tropical fish. The crew were great and looked after us every step of the way. Would do again

What an amazing adventure! We saw bottlenose dolphins TWICE! Our guides were top notch speaking both English and Japanese and made us feel very safe with great safety instructions. We got to say a lovely Hawaiian thank you to the sea which brought us a beautiful experience. MAHALOOOOOOOO!

We were picked up from our hotel in Waikiki and transported about an hour away. Our driver was lively and fun and got us there safely. The excursion was amazing. We saw a giant pod of dolphin and were able to swim with them a total of three times. We also snorkel and saw a sea turtle and fish. As an aside, this excursion is not intended for small children. You were jumping from the boat into open ocean. Even though you are provided with a lifejacket, you need to know how to swim confidently. 10 out of 10 for our crew. Exceptional experience and seeing dolphin in the wild and having them skirt about us and jump and dance, may have been the highlight of our trip.

Captain Jason, Photographer Yayu, and Deckhand Ryan!! Fantastic Crew. My wife felt safe with them and in the water because of them. My kids didn't know any better. They have no sense of danger when I'm around but the crew did not change their mind either. Complete professionalism. Pilot Whales, Reef Sharks, sea turtles, Spinners, Bottlenose, everything was out there.

my 2nd tour with this group. I did the catamaran tour the day before. The first mate from the catamaran tour was a guide on this adventure. Again, the crew brings their best to ensure you have an experience that will stay with you for a lifetime. Captain Matt; guides Yuki, Ken, and Koa; are amazing.

Beautiful view and scenery but I spent $200 to swim with dolphins and we didnt even see one. Which is out of their control but was just an expensive day for what it was. They did offer 50% of next tour but Im not coming back to HI and this was a one shot deal. I will say the bus driver was excellent and everyone was super friendly on the tour, and tried very hard.

We booked this excursion specifically to swim with dolphins, but unfortunately that never happened. We were told once we arrived that the spinner dolphins are protected, so guests are not allowed to touch or swim with them. While snorkeling, we only saw one small sea turtle. The crew was friendly, professional, and did a great job, but the main reason we booked this six-hour excursion was to experience swimming with dolphins. Instead, we took a speedboat ride and ended up swimming where the protected dolphins that we couldn’t touch were . We were offered a 50% discount to return another day, but since we were only in Hawaii for a short vacation, spending another six hours to try again was not realistic. Overall, the staff was excellent, but the experience did not deliver what was advertised and was very disappointing.

Excellent experience swimming in the Pacific ocean with wild dolphins. Saw many dolphins then went into shallow water and swam with sea turtles. A great time. The crew was fantastic and very knowledgeable. Highly recommend.

The dolphin cruise was really well organised, well equipped and supported by enthusiastic and experienced staff. Captain Jason was humorous while imparting his important safety briefing and drove us to three separate places to swim with the kiko (freckled) dolphins. We also found another area where we observed the swimming (while sleeping) spinner dolphins, spotted a large green turtle on top of the water near our boat and then moved to another spot where we snorkelled above the coral reefs. I usually suffer from sea-sickness on smaller boats, but had absolutely no problems during our time out at sea, as Jason made the ride smooth and enjoyable. Our tour hostess Brooke was calm, encouraging, efficient and very knowledgable. She organised our group onto the boat, kitted us all out with inflatable life vests, snorkel, fins and then guided us into the water where she led us to the best views of the dolphins swimming under and around us. After our activities, Brooke distributed our lunches and had all the trash removed before we returned to the harbour. Throughout the day she took the time to speak with each guest individually and imparted relevant knowledge about the wildlife, the geography and the history of the area. She was very inclusive of all aboard and was particularly helpful and encouraging towards some younger people who were frightened about swimming so far out at sea. Kei, ourJapanese interpreter, was also fun and enthusiastic. He supported the Japanese tourists on the cruise, but also all of the participants as he undertook a variety of roles on the tour. Yayu was the underwater photographer who documented our adventures from above and below the water. He took amazing shots of all of us as enjoying the time on the boat and in the water with the dolphins. His underwater skills were incredible. I would highly recommend this tour as it started early in the morning and returned by 12 noon, leaving the remainder of the day to enjoy other sights around Hawaii

Jason and Brooke were amazing and energetic leaders. We swam with pilot whales twice and had a beautiful snorkel dive. Perfect adventure for a family with teens. Thank you for the memories!

It’s Russian roulette on whether or not you will get to see Dolphins. However, even though we did not see any today it was still a fun experience. We did see a hunchback whale and some turtles.

Schedule changes were communicated clearly and options were provided. Our experience actually got upgraded and everything worked out perfectly. From Captain Stef to all the crew on board we felt well cared for. I highly recommend others book this excursion. It is the highlight of our trip so far.

We went out with Jason, Brook and Ken, and underwater photographer Yuya Hasegawa. Crew did a fantastic job keeping everyone safe and having a great time. We had luck swimming with a group of dolphin, then snorkeling where the crew and yuya found starfish, octopus and sea urchin. Highly recommend and will repeat next visit

Greeted at the dock by a massive turtle which was a good start. Captain Jason found lots of dolphins almost straight away and we spent the next hour or so following them. Got into the water three times and third time lucky for snorkelling with them. Then went nearer the shore and did some snorkelling. Lots of fish to see! A great trip and would recommend. They take a photographer with them to cover the whole day in and out of the water and sell you the file at the end for $70 so you don’t need to take your own.

Ken, Tim, Jason were great. We got to see 5 humpbacks up close even a baby one. we swam with dolphins too. Extraordinary.

Steff, Brooke and Lucas were an excellent team! Steph was an excellent captain and Brooke was a marine biologist very helpful and kind and knowledgeable. She literally picked up a seat, urgent and other things for us to hold!!!!, and Lucas was extremely , friendly, kind and fun. He learned a way to attract a dolphins by clapping underwater. This was our first time to Hawaii and a lifelong dream of who to be in the water like this.! The best thing is that they had prescription snorkeling gear.

The whole Excursion was great! We had a prompt pick up at a neighbouring resort. The bus was clean and in great condition. The bus driver was fantastic! (Very funny) It was a one hour scenic drive down to our boat. The whole crew (including the captain and photographer were great!) They were equally as excited about our sittings and were VERY informative, fun and friendly! We seen SO many dolphins, we even saw TWO endangered monk seals while snorkeling ( a m a z i n g ) and whales on the surface – in the distance. Would highly recommend this experience to any and all travellers! Would 10/10 return on future trips. We can’t wait to see our photos and video! Mahalo for everything!!

Hands down one of the best experiences of our trip! The dolphin tour was incredible from start to finish. Captain Jason was knowledgeable, professional, and made the entire ride smooth and fun. Koa, our instructor, was amazing—super engaging, informative, and made everyone feel comfortable in the water. Huge shoutout to Ken, who went above and beyond by speaking another language to help international guests feel included and taken care of. That level of thoughtfulness really stood out. And Brian absolutely killed it with the photos—seriously next-level. The shots perfectly captured the experience, and we’ll treasure them forever. Thank you all!!!! Mahalo 💕 See you soon!

We were not able to go on the tour due to weather. The captain used great discretion in canceling the tour for safety reasons. The crew was outstanding. The boat would have made the adventure really comfortable and fun had we been able to go. The lunch was very tasty and appropriate. The bread was awesome! Pick up and drop off was great- they even accommodated dropping us at the cruise ship terminal rather than the regular drop off spot.

This tour exceeded all expectations. The crew on this boat was fantastic! They were respectful to the ocean, and we saw monk seals, manta rays, whales, dolphins, and sea turtles. The experience was our best time on all of Oahu, and probably the best snorkeling experience for any of us. The members of the crew were exceptional and they knew exactly what they were doing when it came to dealing with the wildlife. The boat captain was terrific and the individual guide who took us into the water were amazing. They served us lunch after we snorkeled, and it was delicious. The entire experience was a 10 out of 10! I give my highest recommendation to this tour company

The speed boat was a rip and a half! Shout out to my crew, Captain Jason, photographer Katie, and big dawg snorkel master Travis. Can't say enough about this group of talented individuals. Even though we didn't get to swim with dolphins, we surfed with them like absolute g's. Big time fun and lots of laughs. Will definitely run it back next time on island and need to do the manta tour on the big I. Also met crew member Kaden before taking off and was loving the energy she brought to my experience.

Truly amazing experience. The fantastic crew was extremely helpful in helping our motley crew of two parents plus kids aged 5, 7, and 15 to navigate the trepidation about a speed boat (Zodiac) and the need to follow explicit and unequivocal direction to get us in the water with such awe-inspiring marine mammals. The pre-launch Hawaiian chants were especially meaningful, and we were eternally grateful at how much care and effort went into locating a pod of dolphins while also ensuring the experience was both fun for the humans and safe for the dolphins. Our 7-year old didn’t want to get out of the water, and we can’t wait to go again the next time we visit Oahu!

Fabulous morning with Jason, Kua and Riuchi ( sorry if the spelling is wrong). The waves were big! But never felt in danger. Loved the journey on the boat and the joy of the spray in your face. Saw dolphins and shared the water with them as they swept by. Then saw a second, different type of dolphin. Up at 5am but would do it again tomorrow. Great experience led by an excellent team.

The entire crew for the captain, to Travis and the way cool photographer made the trip beyond memorable! It was the excursion of a lifetime during a trip to Oahu if a lifetime! Swimming with dolphins was divinely magical.

We missed our boat because we went to the wrong marina and Iruka made sure to work with us and the captains to get us on a different tour. They stayed in contact throughout the process and the customer service was amazing! Once on the boat, we had the most amazing captain and guide and were greeted with tons of spinner dolphins and sea turtles. The snorkeling was like nothing we have ever seen and we also saw a huge pod of dolphins while underwater. I highly recommend this company!

Beautiful scenery. Awesome boat ride. Crew explained what we were seeing and made sure we were ready for our adventure. Spotted different species of dolphins. AlsoSwam with the turtles. Crew was really friendly and informative. I had a blast. Thanks to Kristen Minako Jason and Uya. They were great.

Bring a towel , water and they provide lunch. The staff was knowledgeable. I was a weak swimmer and I was able to get help getting back to the boat when needed.

Absolutely INCREDIBLE! From start to finish it was an amazing experience with a fantastic team, thank you Captain Jason, Koha and Minako!! They made it so fun, safe and worthwhile - swam with a pod of dolphins and saw many green sea turtles upclose. We got really close to doplhins. The staff is super friendly and expert at finding the dolphins. If you are into marine life, you shouldn't skip this one.

the best experience of my life. we had jason and koa and they made the whole tour so exciting and i felt so safe and well cared for the whole time. we swam next to wild dolphins and turtles. jason and koa made sure we all got to experience the dolphins and were the best tour guides we could’ve asked for. would definitely recommend to anyone, even families with children!!

The Iruka team were amazing! This was definitely the highlight of my trip to Hawaii. Convenient hotel pick up from Waikiki early in the morning to get into the water as early as possible. We were fortunate to have a small group on the boat and I truly appreciated the very personal touch and interaction we could have with the crew, and their thoughtful and considerate care. We had 3 dolphin drops and swam (at a safe distance) with 3 different pods of spotted dolphins! After the dolphin drops we had a laid back snorkel at the reef to see turtles and other fish, and then wrapped up with a turkey sandwich all included. Great preparation from the friendly crew, Captain Stef, guide Brooke and Yuya our photographer. A gorgeous, perfect morning in nature. Photo and video package is not included in the package price and has to be purchased separately, but worth buying if you want to live in the moment while swimming with the dolphins not having to worry about your own camera.

First, I had a great experience and would highly recommend. The tour was incredibly well-managed. The captain and all crew are excellent guide and extremely attentive to every participants that made us feel safe and comfortable. They are proficient, knowledgeable, respectful, very friendly, kind, funny, and tried their best to make our tour enjoyable. Watching dolphins and swimming in ocean was wonderful and magical experience. We also saw many turtles and swam with them closely. Thank you so much Mr. Ryuichi for driving a long way between the hotel and the harbor safely and guided us whole time. A special talented photographer, Mr. Yuya, known as Japanese Clark Little, guided us and took an amazingly beautiful wonderful world-class pictures and videos. Thank you so much for everything.
