Snorkeling With Sea Turtles In Waikiki Hawaii Boat Tour

We had a wonderful time on this outing! I had been looking forward to seeing some of the local marine life, and this didn’t disappoint! From the very start (purchasing the package) to the end of the trip, the team was fantastic - we had signed up for the 2nd outing of the day, but they reached out to let me know they hadn’t sold enough seats to go out at that time and offered for us to join the earlier group (we agreed to). The crew and tour staff were friendly and happy to share info throughout the entire trip, not just about the outing but about the area in general. We got to see multiple sea turtles up close (as close as anyone is allowed to be - there are laws protecting sea turtles from being touched due to health concerns for them) and got pictures and videos of local fish and the sea turtles. The boat trip was fun as well - we got to see the island from out at sea and it was beautiful! Would highly recommend this group and the tour to anyone visiting Oahu!

Highly recommend this tour!! It was a great way to get out there and snorkel to see the marine life. There were multiple sea turtles plus many different varieties of tropical fish, so there was lots to see the whole time you are in the water, and they gave you lots of time to explore while helping to guide and point out turtle sightings. The equipment including buoyancy vest made it comfortable to be doing off shore exploration. I also appreciated the smaller group size so you could see more of the marine life rather than the other participants. Guides Adrian and Sam were very knowledgeable and safety conscious. Transport to and from the tour was easy as they have multiple locations to choose from so you can find one close to you. Do it!!

I had a blast on my solo snorkeling trip. We saw so many turtles, and on the way back saw so many spinner dolphins from the boat. Really smooth ride on board with breathtaking views of the Waikiki coast and Diamondbead. I really enjoy the service from Ikura tours, from the hotel pickup/drop off, to the lovely and friendly crew… I’ll definitely tour with them again.

This was a fantastic tour with a fantastic crew! We saw tons of dolphins and some sea turtles. The crew was high energy and obviously all had a great love for the ocean and the animals in it. They were knowledgeable, friendly, and kind. Very highly recommend!

We had an awesome experience. To start the day, our shuttle driver called me cause we were waiting at valet but they have a dedicated shuttle pick up locale at our hotel that we weren’t aware of. He gave step-by-step walking directions for us and patiently waited as my entire group (7 +1 disabled) made their way to the shuttle. The crew in the boat were incredible. They were fun, informative, helpful and safe…both in and out of the water. Definitely recommend!!!

My mom and I step outside our comfort zone and did this. Best decision ever. Our guides were beyond awesome and amazing! They helped my mom out so much. She was afraid and they got her back to the boat with ease. While I said in and enjoyed the sites of turtles, a star fish, and all the fish just swim by underneath us. If you have to choose with company to go with go with Iruka Hawai’i. They were just amazing. Sam, Katie, Kristine and the caption!!!

It was raining when we got on the boat & it just got worse from there!! They DO NOT cancel for rain!! We were out there in a torrential downpour…. Cold & wet . Did we see turtles, yes but not while snorkeling. We could not even see our feet. Horror!!

It’s a good time. Bring your own underwater capable camera in the event the photographer is not there.

We had a great time, we swam with the turtles and lots of different reef fish. We took photos with Diamond Head as a background from the ocean. We were also fortunate enough to catch a whale breaching multiple different times on our return to Port. Dallun, Tanner, Ryan, and Maki were all great to sail with and were excellent wildlife spotters.

My wife Rita and I took the Iruka turtle snorkel tour and we were thrilled! The crew is fantastic! Captain Ryan answered all our questions and put us in a pocket which had clear water while a lot of the water in the area was a bit cloudy from the massive Kona system storms which had hit the area. While our kids are older and not with us, we appreciated the time and rapport Maki had with the kids from several families who toured with us. Her interaction with the kids is exactly what we would have hoped for with our kids when they were little and she made the trip extremely comfortable and exciting for those kids. We don't remember the third crew mate's name, but he was also great, showing us urchins and getting us hot chocolate after the snorkel. Finally, Kristen was absolutely amazing! She put us on so many colorful fish right from the beginning and identified them for us. Then she got us up close to numerous turtles while keeping us at the perfect distance to keep the turtles comfortable so they stayed on the surface for great viewing and pictures. We got wonderful views at the surface and great pictures from above as the turtles dove back down. Kristen offered to take our camera down deeper than we were snorkeling and she took some gorgeous pictures for us of multiple underwater swimming turtles. She also took some great pictures of us in the water and with Diamodhead in the background! To us this was way above and beyond what was expected. As we were heading back to the boat we spotted a baby turtle and Kristen found an eel swimming on the bottom which made for a fantastic finish to the snorkel. To top it off we were treated to a huge pod of spinner dolphins which frolicked along side of and in front of our boat! This snorkel was a highlight of our Hawaiian trip and we highly recommend this tour, the Iruka company and this crew!

We had an amazing time with this team. The staff is super friendly, funny, and supportive. The kids had enjoyed every minute, boat ride, snorkeling and the staff were around us the entire time in the water. I strongly recommend this Iruka and would definately book with them again.

The turtle swim with the Iruka Hawaii Dolphin was the highlight of our trip! The crew (Wylie, Tanner, and pilot Ryan) were exceptional in their knowledge, care of the environment, and care and safety of the passengers. We learned so much and swam with four turtles! Truly unforgettable. We can't say enough about how accommodating the crew was to our requests for pictures of this special trip. Can't recommend this trip highly enough.

All of the staff was patient and kind during our tour. They made sure we were comfortable in the water. We saw so many turtles and even saw a whale on the way back to the dock! The only complaint is that I wish we would've gotten more pictures while in the water from other angles.

Unbelievable experience! We saw tons of fish, 8-9 turtles, and a pod of dolphins!!!! The tour size was pretty small, definitely manageable for Captain Ryan, Sam, and Wylie (sp?). Sam and Wylie were in the water the whole time, pointing out different wildlife and sharing knowledge. The staff was bilingual (English and Japanese), and their chill vibe really made it a great trip. The crew is professional, and they take safety seriously. One tourist had a medical emergency, and the staff took care of him with confidence and composure. Lastly, the pickup and drop off were on time, the bus was clean, and the driver was friendly. A+++ overall. I intend to bring my family back the next time we visit Hawaii!!

We happened to have great conditions on the ocean. Very friendly and knowledgeable guides gave us good snorkeling instructions. We were able to see turtles and many colorful fish. A medical emergency was handled smoothly and the participant received EMT help as we had an early return to the start. We were still able to go back out for photos and to see dolphins.

So good! Pick up, great staff, and beautiful scenery!! Guides really went out of their way to find and share the sightings. Worth every penny!! Thank you!!

Our whole crew was great (Ryan, Wylie and Kristi). Saw some turtles up close, fish and coral (and a pod of spinner dolphins on our way back). Some hot tea/cocoa to warm back up in the sun. A great, safe, easy enjoyable afternoon excursion! Would definitely recommend!

It is perfect for people like ocean and sea animals. Nice stuff and it is very convenient for providing transport between hotels and dock.

These Hosts are Great! Grace, Kristen and Dalyn (not sure of spelling on all) where very attentive and always looking after their guests, even had a youngster as a snorkler! I've been on other dives and boats but this crew was special. Great Job guys!

The snorkeling with sea turtles boat our is a superb experience! The entire crew was very capable and friendly. What was particularly noteworthy is that when my wife needed extra assistance in the water while snorkeling, a crew member stayed alongside her and helped her to continue with her snorkeling experience so as not to require her to cut short her time in the ocean. This extra effort by a crew member was truly exceptional service. You could see that the entire crew really enjoyed the work they are doing and serving their customers.

It was amazing! I haven't snorkeled in years and was a little nervous. The crew gave a positive vive. Riley and Sam were informative and reviewed how to use the gear. They made the trip memerable and safe. I will use this company again and recommend it to everyone.

Great crew, lots of fun. Kirsten, Yugi, and the Captain took great care of us. They went above and beyond with a quick run to the store before the trip to make sure we had everything we needed. We saw lots of turtles, fish, and a crazy rainbow. This was definitely worth it.

Such a fun experience! The crew was very friendly, hospitable, and made sure that we were all taken care of and had as much time in the water as possible, definitely helps if everyone shows up early.

Crew was very nice , helpful . Made sure we all saw at least one turtle ( we saw at least 6 ) . If you wear prescription eyeglasses wear your contacts or will be diff to see underwater . You need to swim quick when a turtle is sighted because it can get congested . A smaller group would be better . Mornings very crowded . If you are going to Maui just see the turtles there for free ! They r right up on the beach . I got the best pictures but if you want a water experience this was fun !

My fiancé and I joined Captain Steph’s crew for snorkeling with the sea turtles and loved the experience and the crew so much that we joined them for 2 more adventures- the Friday night fireworks and Swimming with the Dolphins! The crew, the vibes and the experience were remarkable! They ensured that everyone on the boat had a chance to see the sea turtles and the dolphins making this such an incredible experience. I would highly recommend Iruka dolphin and Capt. Steph’s team for all your coastal excursions while on Oahu. Mahalo!!

Whiley, Grace and Tanner made our snorkel experience so pleasant, fun and successful. Their customer service allowed us to feel comfortable, welcomed and safe. The tour included a gratitude song in native Hawaiian and an offering in hopes of plentiful fish for our excursion. It was so beautiful ! The boat ride was great, felt safe and educational as the girls shred information about the islands with us. The dive was great, saw SO MANY DIFFERENT FOSB AND SK MANY TURTLES. the turtles were so close to us and of course Whiley and Tanner reminded us to stay at least 10 feet away from them at all times. I would def do this tour again! -which was why Tanner convinced my group and I to book the firework cruise at 7pm the same night. Grace took us back out on the boat at dusk and we watched the fireworks from the ocean ! It was so beautiful :) I would definitely book with these guys again !! :)

We had a great snorkelling experience with Iruka, with Stefan, Sam and Whiley as our crew. We felt safe and got to experience the beautiful wildlife in the ocean in a respectful manner. Would for sure recommend Iruka ans this crew.

The best time we have had in Hawaii, swimming with hundreds of colourful fish and sea turtles swimming around so close. We also saw spinner dolphins and generally had a lovely cruise on the boat.
