Awesome tour around the island of Oahu, our local guide Leonani was friendly and really made the experience, we enjoyed the yummy kai (food) at Tanaka Shrimp in Kahuku.

What an amazing tour, I would highly recommend this tour to anyone looking for a full day seeing Oahu! I went as a solo traveler and I felt safe and comfortable during my time with the group. My guide, Tyrone, was the best guide anyone could ask for. He was knowledgable, personable, and an overall great person to be around; if you get him as your guide, just know you’re in for a fun time! The hotel pickup was another great aspect to this tour as you have the convenience of being picked up and dropped off at your hotel rather than having to go to a meeting point. If you’re looking for a smaller group that offers you a more exclusive tour, look no further and book this tour ASAP!

Great tour of the island, went to and saw many highlight spots on Oahu. Van was comfortable and AC worked well. Group was small 12 total and we were picked up at our hotel right on time. The biggest highlight of the tour was the guide Alaura. A funny and very friendly young lady; Hawaiian born and very knowledgeable of the island and its history. You may want to have water shoes if you plan to swim at the beach. The lunch, although not included was reasonably priced and was very tasty, several different types of shrimp from which to chose. Multiple shopping opportunities amongst the many stops. Many great photo opportunities. Great way to see the island in one all day tour.

Pick up was right on time and right at the hotel where we stayed. The van was comfortable and AC worked well. Small group just myself, wife, and ten others. The highlight of the tour was the guide Alaura a wonderful young lady; Hawaiian born and raised. She was very knowledgeable of the island of Oahu and its history which, she shared while traveling from stop to stop. The tour itself took us to many highlight locations on the island and was very immersive. Lunch although not included, was reasonably priced and was very good. Again the best part was the guide - get Alaura if you can.

Disappointed we only were able to ride to pick up additional passengers and then had to abort this trip on 9/1/2026. Other members joined that appeared to be ill and we did not want to risk spending the time in close quarters with them so we got off the tour. By the end of the week we had Influenza A and are still suffering from pneumonia nearly 3 weeks later. Reached out to tour operator and they would not refund any of our money and no offer of any other tour availability options. Disappointing to say the least. Had high hopes for this tour!

Where to start? When Leonani first showed up for pickup, my wife and I chuckled at how young she was. To be honest we were a bit concerned. SHAME ON US! This young lady was incredible! While talking about the culture and lore of the island, she drove like a pro, would interrupt her own storytelling to point out various points of interest, and then without missing a beat… would start right back into the storytelling! She was knowledgeable about not just the history and culture but also current events. She never lost her smile, joy, or enthusiasm. Just an incredible guide! As a reference, the next day we did a tour to Pearl Harbor and Honolulu. The guide, with a different company, was our age, 50-60, and mentioned similar things that Leonani had mentioned. The difference was clear. He did not sound confident and the information he gave lacked the lore/ culture we had just experienced. In fact, due to what we had learned the previous day, we helped our group learn even more. MAHALO to Pineapple Express and especially to Leonani for destroying our preconceived expectations! STRONGLY recommend this tour!!

Diffently must do. Plan and schedule early on your vacation. We planned our the day after our arrival on Oaho.

I have to say this was one of the best tours I've ever done! From the moment we were picked up until we were dropped off, we saw so many places and had a blast with the driver/owner, Tyrone. Tyrone was fun, entertaining and very knowledgeable of the island. The small group also made this tour amazing. Our group was friendly and we enjoyed ourselves as if we were all family. Highly recommend this tour !

The Pros: Our guide Leio was awesome. She was energetic, friendly and fun. Pineapple Express should give her a raise. The Cons: The tour only passes by the most exciting stops and stops at stores. They want you to buy stuff from stores they have tie ups with. The tour stops at the macadamia nut store for 30 minutes, where there is literally nothing to do. Then we stopped at Dole plantation for only 20 minutes. There was so much to do there, but 20 minute stop is too short to do anything. Our intent of booking this tour was to see tourist attractions on Ohau that we couldn’t see without a driving license. But the tour guide only kept saying “You should go here, it’s really good” at all the actual exciting places that are on the “pass by” list.

We had an absolutely wonderful experience on this island tour! Ryan was an exceptional tour guide. He was friendly, engaging, and incredibly knowledgeable about Hawaiian history, culture, and the island. His insight and stories added so much to every stop and made the entire experience feel much more meaningful than simply sightseeing. I especially loved the small-group format. It made the tour feel relaxed and personal. We were able to really enjoy the scenery, ask questions, and learn so much along the way. This was a fantastic way to experience the island and was definitely one of the highlights of our trip. Ryan made an already beautiful tour even better. I would highly recommend this tour and if you’re lucky enough to have Ryan as your guide, you’re in for a great day!

Nikki was a great tour guide! We had a lot of fun and great unexpected stops! Even with the rain and winds at times, we still had a great time! This was the day before Hurricane Lala! But still a lot of fun!

Had a great time all around the island with PE as our lovely driver! She is very knowledgeable and great at trying to avoid crowds and knows all the back roads. Tour is around 8 hours and would recommend doing it at the very beginning of your stay on O’ahu. Great for seeing where you want to spend more time on the island.

It’s an early start but well worth it, just the right number of stops for photos and food along with some great sights and stories. If you get Tyrone for the a tour guide (pineapple experience) then you are in for a treat. Would highly recommend.

This was a great tour. It give us a great opportunity to see parts of the entire island in a small group setting. I highly recommend it . Leonani was our guide and she was WONDERFUL! She was very knowledgeable and kept us entertained during the trip. She answered any questions we had and give many fun facts about the area. I would take this tour again and request her.

Leonani- our tour guide and bus driver from the Pineapple Exp is the bomb. As a native Hawaiian, she so knowledgeable, giving us the history and stories alone the circle tour. Her ability to drive and simultaneously give such eloquent deliver is amazing. The small group tour is the way to go. Whichever group that ends up with her will be super lucky. We are so happy to have booked this tour on the first full day of our trip! Even though it rained on us, the experience was amazing and our guide was incredibly informative, helpful, and fun. She showed us so many fun places we would never have otherwise seen and gave us excellent advice about the activities we had planned for the remainder of our trip. This is an all day experience filled with multiple opportunities to take beautiful and scenic pictures. Our guide Leonani was amazing! Not only did Leo provide stories and "must knows" about the island, but she also knew when to give us our space and time to enjoy with the family. She greated us with flowers at different stops, played our music requests, and was just the kindest. We greatly enjoyed out times snorkeling and at Dole. Our pictures are all amazing. I also appreciated the small group tour versus the giant tour buses we saw on the way.

The tour itself was not small, but the bus certainly was. The seating was extremely cramped, making the experience uncomfortable from the start. It was also quite hot inside, and it was difficult to hear the driver’s commentary clearly throughout the tour. The presentation felt very scripted, and there was considerable effort spent encouraging participants to interact with one another, which felt forced rather than natural. Unfortunately, this detracted from the overall experience. Additionally, seating arrangements left us unable to easily communicate with those around us, which further limited engagement. Overall, the tour did not meet expectations due to the crowded conditions, lack of comfort, and communication challenges.

P.E. was an amazing, with so much knowledge of the history of the area, she really made the trip special. Finding us the perfect local spots for food that was soooo oooonooooo (delicious). The Dole plantation was really cool, as well as the blowhole. She made some special stops for great photos. 100% would recommend, as well as go again.
