Excellent show, really enjoyed the experience, lots of traditional dance, combined with Elvis & Michael Jackson tribute acts along with the fire dancers at the end made for a very enjoyable evening.
It was a 10/10 experience. We did the VIP bundle and it felt worth it. You are greeted with a Lei, a complementary Mai tai before sitting, 2 extra drink tickets, you go first to the buffet and sit closer for the show. Emmelia (I don’t think I spelled it right) was an amazing dancer and so easy and fun to talk too, she made the experience even better! It’s about 3 and a half hours long. I definitely would recommend, food was great, all staff was friendly and the show was awesome! Thank you so much!😊
Really an excellent show! Great service, great performances, great food, great Hawaiian culture!
The cost was very reasonable for the quality of the show. The Michael Javkdon and Elvis Presley impersonators were impressive as were the cast singers and dancers. Excellent show and venue.
How Disappointing. How sad to watch a show that reduces Hawaiʻi’s extraordinary history and cultural identity to Elvis Presley and Michael Jackson. Not a single meaningful mention of Hawaiian history before the 1950s. Instead, the audience is told that before all this, there was essentially just “chanting.” Centuries of civilisation, traditions, sovereignty and cultural richness dismissed in a sentence. Quite an achievement! The final performances were genuinely incredible, finally showing some respect for the island, people and their remarkable culture. Unfortunately, this is little more than American entertainment packaged for American tourists, with Hawaiian identity treated as an inconvenient footnote. The irony of celebrating Hawaiʻi while erasing its people and history from the narrative is almost impressive. Colonialism with a soundtrack.
Great show. Thoroughly recommend this show to anyone. The array of songs and overall performances was first class.
Amazing show, great food, great experience 😀
This is THE finest entertainment in Waikiki! The Creativity And Talent is FANTASTIC ! You will not regret this thrilling show....music, dancing, and the history of Hawaii told in a Fun & exhilirating way. This show is Highly recommended.....Just Go , you will love it!
Great show. The Elvis impersonator was the best we have ever seen. The Michael Jackson impersonator had the moves down and definitely captured Michael’s essence. All of the performers were professional quality. The theater is intimate and the staff are very friendly and helpful. I would definitely recommend this show with or without the luau dinner. Note; recording and flash photos are not allowed.
The show was fantastic. The dancers and singers really did a great job. I live locally and was surprised at the quality and the energy of the show. They gave some local info that was very good. All cast members gave the show all there energy and effort and it really showed. I highly recommend the show you can’t gong with Elvis and Michael Jackson. Both were great. The band , singers and dancers were also memorable. I will return to see them again
Elvis and Michael Jackson were really good and so was the entire cast. It was a fun night.
Rock A Hula is absolutely incredible. I've gone several times to this show, but when I went last night, the lighting and sound system seemed to have gotten some major upgrades since the last time I was there, so shout out to the lighting and sound system team - Those changes haven't gone unnoticed! The performers always sing their hearts out, and as someone who's been there over 10 times, they ALWAYS bring amazing energy to the stage. Not enough good things can be said about the MJ and Elvis Impersonators, also Singers, Dancers, and very talented Band. If you're a big fan of Michael Jackson and or Elvis, or if you are just looking for a fun experience that you won't forget, I'd HIGHLY recommend this show!
Show was great! All performers were amazing. So worth it!
All we can say is wow. Such a fun show
A good fun show that was value for money. Didn’t go on too long- no intermissions- good seats and refreshments available at good price
Brilliant show.Very entertaining
Fun evening! Dancers and singers were amazing. Elvis and Michael Jackson did a fabulous performance.
Great time! Awesome show. We booked this to surprise our mom and my son. My mom loves Elvis and my son really likes Michael Jackson.
Unfortunately, this luau was not worth the money we paid. I went in expecting an entertaining Hawaiian show and an overall memorable experience, but it really didn’t feel like much of a show at all. The entertainment was underwhelming, and the drinks were just okay—nothing special. The food was also just okay and definitely didn’t stand out. For the price they charge, I expected much more in terms of entertainment, food, drinks, and the overall experience. To make matters worse, they charged $30 for a single picture, which is absolutely ridiculous, especially considering how expensive the tickets already were. Overall, I left feeling like I didn’t get my money’s worth. There are plenty of other experiences in Hawaii that seem like they would offer much more for the price. Unfortunately, I wouldn’t recommend this luau or return.
The Rock A Hula Show Is Outstanding & equal in quality to the best Shows in Las Vegas. The Elvis Tribute Artist was AMAZING & the Michael Jackson impersonator was also very good. This show is a better value than the higher priced luau shows on Oahu with a large cast of hula dancers that fill the stage at all times. It was worth a 10 hour flight from the East Coast to Hawaii to see this show. The Meet & greet with the artists after the show is also a very nice & classy way to end the evening. .
Such a fun show. Michael Jackson and especially Elvis were great!
Great show!! I’d recommend to anyone that wants to have a great night out the town (even if you are a local)!!!!!
You should know you will have to climb stairs to reach the venue seating. We were not offered an elevator option and it would have been appreciated. Also, it was sweating hot in the venue. Everyone was fanning even the attendants. The show was great and entertaining.
There were some very enthusiastic and energetic dancers. I saw the show a few years ago and I did think it was better then . But in saying that it was quite entertaining
Amazing show , very varied , great performances
Great experience, show was really good, just what we needed at the time of Storm Lala, which Waikiki pretty hard. All of the singers and dancers were amazing and we both had a fantastic night!
Enjoyed the show. The Elvis and Michael Jackson impersonators were the highlight of the show for my whole family. If you can find a discounted deal it is definitely worth it.
Dinner was pretty good, as was the show. Elvis had a great voice, very reminiscent of the real thing. MJ wasn't as strong vocally, but was an amazing dancer. No bad seats in the place, so I wouldn't bother with VIP. It was a fun night out!
I wasn’t sure what to expect, but this was more than I could have ever hoped for!!! The dancers were all fantastic, Elvis was mind blowing, Michael Jackson was sooooo good, and then I thought I was going just die when the fire dancers came out!!!!
This was truly an amazing show! The entire cast was full of energy and all had beautiful voices. A lot of talent! Definitely recommend to all!
One of the best shows we've seen in Hawaii...bringing together the rich cultures of music and Hawaii. We highly recommend to all those visiting Oahu.
Show was good. We were a bit surprised that there wasn’t more traditional dancing but still enjoyed the Elvis and Michael Jackson sections.
We all Really enjoyed the show. My favorite parts 1. the young man singing somewhere over the rainbow 2. Blue Hawai’i. My husband also enjoyed the show very much - no one enjoyed it as much as my mother in law. She was dancing and singing along with the Elvis and Michael Jackson impersonators. We paused to take her picture and have him sign the picture of the three of us as we entered the theater.
If you want a really fun experience this is the show for you. Comfortable, clean theatre with great staff there to help out. The show is the perfect length and it is fun and gets the audience involved. No worries you do not need to go on stage, chair dancing and clapping are encouraged. The show takes you on a journey of music through time.
We did not do the dinner portion of the show. I had read several reviews that drove me to that decision. Walking by the food venue, I think we made the correct choice. The actual show was pretty good. Not Las Vegas strip worthy, but certainly Vegas off strip quality. The band was excellent. Both the Elvis and Michael Jackson impersonation put on a good show. The dancers did an excellent job. A highlight was the fire baton twirling guy. I probably would not go to see it again, but I’m glad we did this time. The auditorium was only about 1/5 full. At that rate they may not be around indefinitely.
I went on my last night in Hawaii and it was so fun! The music and dancing are great, the cast put their all into it. The fire dancer guy was amazing (and the band drummer is really good). It’s a bit kitschy, which is fine! The cast are talented and it’s a fun mix of Hawaiian and mainland culture. Totally worth it!
we booked the green room tour. The tour was awesome and we got to eat first. Elvis was just OK. I was expecting more Elvis and Mike Jackson songs. There was not as many as I thought. The 2 hosts were awesome and the show was great. I could have done without Elvis. They had meet and greet at the end which was pretty cool. Food was very good
I loved the show. Very entertaining. We really enjoyed it. The crew were superb 👌. This is a must see show. You won't regret it. Great job guys !
Great entertainment. Music from the different years was excellent and the fire dance performance was too. Would recommend to all for a great night out. Maybe bring earmuffs for little kids as it can get a bit loud.
We had a great dinner buffet. Food was delicious! The entertainment was good while we ate. The show after we ate was so much fun and very entertaining!
One of the best live shows on Waikiki beach..
If you like Elvis, MJ, grass skirts, and fire dancing then this is the show to see. Highly entertaining and reasonably priced with a Bogo deal on their website. The location is smack in the middle of Waikiki and much easier to get to than the traditional luau’s. We just went to the show so can’t comment of the full package with food, but really enjoyed the evening.
I really liked the show, specially the part with the guy dancing with fire sticks, that was something completely new I have never seen before. I also really appreciated the customer service I received.
Yay. So much fun!!!. Highly recommended. It's like a concert.
The Rock a Hula show is a great show! Everything from the story line, the band, the dancers and singers! We were amazed at all the talent and history of Hawaii as it relates to music. The manager Becky was so kind and made us feel like family. I would love to watch this show again!
We had a wonderful experience at the Rock a Hula show. The show itself was well paced and kept us entertained throughout. The Elvis singer was excellent. His singing was great and he interacted well with the audience. The same was true with the Michael Jackson singer. His singing was like the real Michael Jackson and his dancing was excellent as well. The two female singers were great as well. The fire dancer was amazing and was a memorable part of the show. All in all, the show was highly enjoyable and I would definitely recommend this show for tourists and kamaaina alike.
So fun! The music was fun and the entertainment was great! Loved the musical history brought to the audience from the island. Great job!
We booked this luau to see and hear Hawaiian music. It was shocking to witness 1.5 hours of American rock and roll music danced by 5 Hawaiian performers. This show is a commercial musical with no connection or resemblance to anything Hawaiian. It was a true disappointment for us. We left quite frustrated and upset for the time and money we wasted there.
This show was wonderful. A real gem! I didn’t expect it to be so well done but it was fun and included nice tributes to Hawaiian culture.
