We took the private catamaran tour for a Friday night sunset and fireworks as an anniversary gift to my boyfriend. It was an experience we will never forget... Sam and Brooklyn were personable, attentive, and fun. The views were EXTRAORDINARY. And the freedom to have our own playlist and vantage point for the fireworks was well worth the additional cost to do this activity via private charter as opposed to a larger group.

What a great time! We chose to snorkel at two different reefs and saw turtles, a puffer fish, and swam with schools of colorful fish. The crew is fun and friendly and there are so many ways to enjoy riding on the boat! They had everything we needed, including gear, windbreakers, and music. The sunset was beautiful and it was a great way to start off our vacation.

We held our wedding reception on the Big Kahuna and the crew were all amazing and accommodating to us and our 25 guests. Highly recommend these guys.

We had the best evening with Captain Adrianna and 1st mate Haley. The two of them took great care of us. They pulled out windbreakers for us when it started raining, helped with drinks and made sure we were comfortable. It was such a treat to have the boat all to ourselves. What a beautiful way to see Waikiki beach from the water. It was magical when we can back in to dock all lit up. We would definitely book with Hawaii Ocean Charters again. Hailey & Adriana were AMAZING! They made our private sunset charter the absolute best with their friendly and fun vibes. We did this as our last event of our week long trip & it was the best way to end our honeymoon with beautiful views of Diamond Head and the sunset from the ocean, they made us feel like we were driving right into the sunset, beautiful and captivating, peaceful and laid back. We booked this for ourselves, our two grown daughters, and sons-in-law. How cool to have the whole boat to ourselves!! Nick and Sam were absolutely perfect! They asked what we hoped to get out of the trip and didn’t disappoint! Whales and an incredibly large school of dolphins graced us with their presence! We chased and played with the dolphins for much of the trip! We brought snacks and beverages, but had so much fun watching for sea animals, we never ate! Both guys were incredible hosts and made us feel at home and have fun!! Thank you!!’

Great outing for all ages - swimming, whale watching and a gorgeous sunset all in 2 relaxing hours on a boat that is perfectly made for the outing. We had a family of 6 and we all fit comfortably. The captain and his crewmate were fun and flexible and made the outing even better.

Our amazing crew jumped in the water to show us the best place to snorkel and pointed out a rather large reef shark.

Such a unique experience! Captain Francesco and Jake took us to a reef area with a picturesque view of Diamond Head and the skyline. Got some great shots of the fish, reef, and sunset. They even came prepared with rafts and other swimming gear. Highly recommend for a group of friends!

I can’t recommend them enough. We had such an amazing time and unforgettable experience. Francesco and Nick were so welcoming and were the best hosts. They were so happy to get drinks for us, take our pictures, show us how to snorkel and provide fun facts about the island. I will be recommending them to everyone who visits Oahu.

The staff was incredibly friendly and attentive, making sure all our needs were met. The crew's expertise made us feel safe, and their small acts of kindness, like helping us around the boat and taking photos and awesome Hawaiian music choices, truly stood out. The snorkeling was fantastic—we saw plenty of fish, sea turtles, and a stunning sunset. The high-quality gear and having an instructor with us in the water was very reassuring. The pick-up location also had ample parking. Overall, it was an amazing experience from start to finish.

This was our first boat ride we’ve ever booked and the crew made sure to give us an amazing experience. They were very welcoming and friendly.

Sam and Jake were very inviting, super friendly and easy to be around. We were a family of six- 2 teens, 2 40 something’s and 2 late 70s. They tailored the trip to make it perfect for all of us. Jake went snorkeling with the teens, we got to Bluetooth our music, they had a cooler with ice, a floating mat to sit on…it was incredible start to finish. Sam even turned the boat around to get the best photos of both the sunset and Diamond Head. Would 100% recommend this catamaran cruise.

Sam and Nick created a really fun and tailored to us environment. The trade off for slightly higher per person price for the private experience was WELL worth it!

we took the sunset cruise, the captain and his mate were amazing, down to earth did everything in their power to make it a amazing experience for my family especially the kids, was great with the 2 year old, the private cruise is geared toward YOU so no dealing with a group of other folks and their nonsense. I would HIGHLY recommend these guys and I'm a very difficult person to please cause I mostly hate everything and stay grumpy. Please spend the extra dough if u got 5 or more in your group. enjoy!!!!!!!!!

Francisco and Nick made our trip so memorable. We swam with Turtles and saw an amazing sunset. They went above and beyond to help us and make us feel special. They tried so hard to help us see whales but we couldn’t find any. (It’s towards the end of the season.) It was so great having the whole boat to ourselves. These guys have been on the island a long time. They gave us great info about the island and told us some great places to eat! This trip is a great value! Book it!

Sam & Nick hosted an amazing experience! We got to snorkel at an amazing spot and swim with the turtles, then we were able to see a momma a calf humpback well while simultaneously enjoying the beautiful Hawaiian sunset. Sam and Nick were absolutely amazing! They made it an experience my husband and I will truly never forget. Nick took us out snorkeling and pointed out multiple fish and told us all about them. Sam informed us all about the island and told us stories about the island as well! On top of all that, these two were absolute gentlemen. The cruise was nothing short of perfection. We began with a wonderful snorkeling experience complete with giant sea turtles and hundreds of fish. And enjoyed watching the sunset over Waikiki while hearing all about local history and tips for our travels from the captain. Overall 10/10.

Family of six including two younger daughters who were a bit afraid. The captain and his crew mate were friendly and patient! We thoroughly enjoyed, and my daughters agreed this was a highlight of our trip to Oahu!

I have been coming to Hawaii for the last several years and this was the first time on the sunset cruise. Oh, man. It was such a memorable experience and the two hours on the boat went by so quickly. We had a great experience purchasing the sunset cruise through Viator and the captain and crew member were so awesome! Very friendly, encouraging, and fun. We also felt very comfortable and safe.

The sunset cruise was the highlight of our trip to Oahu. There were six of us and everyone had a great time. Sam and Nick were fun and knowledgeable. Three of us went snorkeling right before the sunset and had a blast. The rest of us floated in the ocean on a large floaty. Once we were done snorkeling and floating, we gathered on the boat sitting right up front on bean bags and watched a beautiful sunset.

Cannot recommend this experience enough!! Our guides were fantastic and so friendly. The snorkeling was so much fun and the sunset was absolutely beautiful. If you’re going to Oahu, this is a MUST!!

Hands down the best Catamaran cruise my family and I have ever taken. Captain Sam and Deckhand Nick are the best! Professional yet laid back and personable. They made us laugh, we saw beautiful marine life, the sunset was obviously stunning. All around a fantastic time for a great price! We will definitely book again and request Sam and Nick !!!

This was the best thing we have done in Hawaii! The boat was just lovely. Captain and crewman were very knowledgeable about the area and sea life. We snorkeled and swam with turtles. The dolphins even put on a show. Would definitely recommend hands down. Much better than one of the larger tours.

We had an amazing time for our sunset catamaran cruise. We were celebrating our 25th anniversary with another couple. Captain and his mate were very personable and really worked to make sure we had a great experience. I am not the most agile person and they both made sure I could enjoy the cruise. They shared interesting facts and stories that we all really enjoyed. The boat was beautiful, clean, and comfortable. We loved having the private charter. I would highly recommend this experience!

Went there with my four daughters. Captain Sam and his first mate were beyond welcoming and friendly. Two hours went by so fast because they made sure the fun never stopped. They had snorkeling gear for everyone, even helped my 10yr old get over her fear of snorkeling. Plenty of water, juice on the boat as well. When in Hawaii, want a private boat tour and have fun, this is a must do. My daughters keep talking about how much fun they had. Not sure if this review reflects it, but THIS IS A MUST DO PRIVATE CHARTER IN HAWAII!

We had a fantastic sunset cruise and snorkeling adventure thanks to Francesco and Sam. They were perfect hosts. We had seating for everyone, refreshments and snorkel gear. They were always concerned with our comfort and dedicated the evening to our wants and needs. It was fantastic to have the boat to ourselves and our intimate celebration. We highly recommend Francesco and Sam for your sunset cruise, they even had a pod of spinner dolphins show up for us!

Francesco and Nick made this adventure so enjoyable... magical even. They had fun energy, provided assistance if we needed it, shared their expertise and experience, and never stopped smiling. When looking online for things to do, it's hard to tell what you are going to get. I am so glad that I booked this trip. My husband, who was skeptical about the whole thing before we went, hasn't stopped saying great things about the experience. My son, who is 20, said he had the time of his life. We snorkeled, saw dolphins, and watched a beautiful sunset. It was definitely worth every penny.

We had a great sunset cruise! it was so nice having the entire catamaran to ourselves. We could sit upfront on the nets (with a bean bag to support our backs no less) or go up top with the captain for great views and conversation. The crew was great, and we will definitely be doing this tour again next time we are in Waikiki.

This is my favorite event in Hawaii, I've been to the big island, saw devil fishes and volcanos, even went surfing, but this is still my favorite. The sailors with us are experienced and had a very good attitude. On the boat, you can relax and enjoy the view of beautiful sky and seas, the sailors will also show you whales, fishes and dolphins, it's unlucky for us because we saw all of these just except Megashark, maybe next time🤣🤣, we also went snorkeling and fed fishes.Anyways, if you don't know what to do in Honolulu, this is a very good option.

This was an unforgettable experience! We took our family for my daughter’s 16th birthday for a sunset excursion. The crew was fantastic and knowledgeable. The scenery was spectacular and we were greeted by a pod of dolphins on the way back that were playful and entertaining and something we will remember forever! Highly recommend this trip for a family of all ages.
