Private Road To Hana Maui Open-air Jeep Tour

I highly, highly recommend springing for a driver to tour Hana. I wanted my husband to be able to enjoy the sights and scenes and not turning into a ball of stress from driving. We had Andrea as our driver and she went above and beyond! She took us to places that you wouldn't know were there if you weren't a local. She picked fruit off the trees for us to try (shout-out to the strawberry guava), took us to a secluded black sand beach, and walked us down a path to a painted Eucalyptus tree, to name a few. She gave us Hawaiian trivia all along the drive and took our pictures at all the sites. My husband and I agreed that if we had one day on Maui, this is what we would do again. If you are on the edge of booking this trip, please do it!!

Amazing experience! From first getting in the jeep till being dropped off at port, Andrea took care of us and made it the most enjoyable time! The tour is trailered to you and spending as much time at each spot as you’d like. Andrea was so knowledgeable about the island, culture and all the little stops along Hana! We had the best time! You have to book this tour - everyone is so friendly, spectacular views of Maui and truly unforgettable day.

We did two tours with Vicente, and it were the best tour experiences we ever had. Vicente shared history, background information and fun facts during the tour with us. He showed us all kinds of flowers and plants while passing by on the road to Hana. He knows where are delicious lunch and dinner places. He is super professional, thoughtful in every way and a fantastic, versed driver. We felt welcomed, safe and in good hands all time.

Ed was the best! A Maui native with a deep love for Maui. He gave us a real sense of what it was like growing up on the island throughout the day. We saw so many cool places and amazing vistas, swam in waterfalls, ate banana bread, hiked bamboo forests, ate at the food trucks in Hana Town, explored caves, saw goats near and far, and bought some fresh fruit from the side of the road. It was an amazing day that my family will never forget, Mahalo Ed!

We spent the day with Vincente! We travels the road to Hana and it was simply AMAZING! Vincente, understood the assignment as we did not know what or where this tour would not should take us! Our guide is a supporter of all things local and it was our absolute pleasure to eat and drink at local establishments! We also learned some incredible information about the island and its vegetation. One thing I must mention is that Vincente is safe and courteous. If you are trying to decide which local company to travel with once you exit the ship, you simply must go with our guy Vincente!

Fantastic private tour of road to Hana. Patricia customized our tour based on our preferences, while highlighting other important spots for us to see. I am so Glad we booked this because I can’t imagine driving those windy tiny roads by ourselves. She was knowledgeable and accommodating to our requests. She was really sweet with our 10 year old daughter. And when we arrived to our hotel room, they had left a gift for us- a framed picture of our family taken during the tour.

We had already rented a Jeep two days ago and drove the Road to Hana ourselves, thinking it would be an adventure. The secret spots, the green turtles, the genuineness of Vincente and Patricia is 2nd to one. We had the best time, they took so many photos of us and I simply could not imagine doing this tour with anyone else. I HIGHLY recommend...!

Vincente was the absolute BEST!!!! I cannot recommend him enough. Our family did a private tour on the Road to Hāna with him and he was extremely attentive, fun, and knowledgable. We were really bummed because we had to cancel our scheduled tour as we weren’t sure if we would be able to dock in Maui. Luckily we were able to dock and while exiting the pier we met Patricia and Vincent who were doing the tour we had to cancel and even price matched to give us a deal close to the one we had. Our group of 7 enjoyed a half day to the road to Hana in two cool bright green jeeps. The most amazing activity we did in Maui! The views were breath taking! Our tour guide was the BEST! He was so knowledgeable, patient, and respectful! I was able to take several photos and really enjoy the beauty of Hana! As well as the local food! Our tour guide knew exactly where to stop for an even more authentic tour! Foodies would be thrilled and the views are heavenly! We really enjoyed the open air tour, because it gave us more views and scents, which allowed us to intake even more of the beautiful tour! I would highly recommend this tour with Lani Wanderlust! They have great vehicles and tour guides and really catered to us in a private tour! We absolutely LOVED this activity in Maui!

We had a great time. The vehicle was very comfortable and our guide Vincente was very knowledgeable, helpful and accommodating. We got to see very unique sites which we will take with us forever.

We had no tour planned after disembarking NCL on the first day in Maui. After speaking with Vicente and Patricia at the tours station outside the pier, we decided to go for a private tour. It was not disappointing! What an experience for us from beginning to end! Vicente was very knowledgeable about all facets of the island life from its history, the rich plant life, to native customs and courtesies. The road to Hana, all the beaches, waterfalls, and the awesome sunset at Haleakala National park was all incredible! This tour left us with so many wonderful memories! Vicente ensured we experienced and saw all the beauty the island had to offer and much much more! Need to mention that the location we went to for lunch was the best! We ate (for the first time) the famous Huli Huli chicken and BBQ in Hana! Delicious! Highly recommend this company…they definitely treat you like ohana!

The best experience with the best team you can imagine. Being in Maui is Magical and having them as tour guides to Hana is a VIP experience, since we got in car, we live the music that was aligned with the trips, we learn amazing things, the view was absolutely stunning, the tropical forest and the smell of flowers and wet soils, the waterfalls, the soap-plant (forever in my mind), the huli-huli, the banana Bread, they’ve got me a Guava direct from the tree. Honestly, the words are just something that I wanted to share with you, please give yourself the best present, you need to live this personally.

Patricia is a perfect tour guide. Our private tour with her was full of interesting facts, fabulous places-to-visit and some good song choices. Starting from Hana in the Jeep, we made it to Haleakala on the first day and West Maui on the second. At Hana, she took us to different vendors to try out banana bread and coconut; also different spots for waterfalls. Hana is a great place to sightsee if you love nature. Haleakala, on the other hand, is something completely new to us. Volcanoes are probably one of the many reasons why people travel to Hawaii. Patricia showed us breathtaking sunset view spots as well as volcano caldera hiking trail about 20 miles long. During our second day trip to West Maui, we zipped around green, yellow and red areas of the mountain. Due to different climate and soil at each area, drastically different colors ooze out but make a good harmony with great sightseeing opportunities. Here Patricia took us to Dragon’s teeth, resorts, a city which was unfortunately debated by fires recently, as well as multiple different nice little hiking spots. Too bad I cannot remember the names. Ending up with a swimming at a beach, she drove us back to our cruise. I highly recommend Patricia (who also designed her website and name card) and her family owned business for a wonderful and memorable Hawaii private tour.

What an experience! Omg. Maui is such a magical place and there is no better way to explore it than with people who knows it well and of course, on an open-air Jeep!! Honestly such a life changing experience; not only were the views absolutely breathtaking, but the energy that the guides brought made it all the more remarkable. We were able to stop and take many beautiful photos, and also take in all the nature. The guides provided a lot of information surrounding the island which was super helpful in both learning and adding to the experience.
