We had what I called the best tour ever with this experience. Ama, driver and guide, was a wealth of information and learned so much from our time with him. I’ve been to Hawaii multiple times and this tour I would be the only one you can actually get a true island experience and learn something. I’d give this tour a 10+ rating if I could.

Ama was awesome! He communicated ahead of time and showed up promptly on time. He gave us a wonderful overview of the island, great history of Hawaii and Oahu. He showed us many local areas including his neighborhood that brought daily life into the experience. It was the perfect length of time to see Honolulu, learn about what we wanted to hear and also visit the Arizona Memorial at Pearl Harbor. You only need a couple of hours max to get the Arizona experience. Great job AMA! Loved our time with you!
Private tour. With Ama! Very thorough and entertaining. Lots of history, culture and fun! The city tour was fascinating. Pearl Harbor was humbling.
Ama, our tour guide, is a local that can share the most amazing information about the island. We got to go around the city and take some pictures and then went to Pearl Harbor. It is evident that Ama loves his state and his island. He made our experience a great one, and we are so glad we took the tour and got to see the palace, historical markers, the punch bowl, and many other sites. He had great recommendations for when we come back, and we highly recommend this tour.
Wonderful tour. The Arizona Memorial is a must see. Our tour guide was super!
Our guide, AMA was amazing! So much knowledge packed into our tour! And we ended with a Pearl Harbor tour. We could have stayed another 2.5 hours. Sobering!
AMA was a fantastic guide! He took us all over the Honolulu area and gave us the local perspective and history we otherwise would have missed out on. Highly recommend booking with this company. Mahalo!
We loved our guy Ama. He was great and so fun and detailed. Full of positive energy and taught us so much history! Would highly recommend him and this tour. 👍❤️
Simina was exceptional as our guide. She was organized, was very knowledgeable, had great communication, and she provided a great tour.
We had an excellent half-day private tour of Pearl Harbor and Honolulu. Our tour guide, Simina with Spiritual Tours Hawaii, was outstanding—friendly, knowledgeable, and engaging throughout the entire experience. We learned a great deal about the history of Pearl Harbor and the city. It was a wonderful experience, and we highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Oahu.
We had a wonderful te seeing Pearl Harbor and Honolulu. Our guide was very knowledgeable and answered all our questions
Very personal feel to seeing the city and sharing his personal upbring gave us insite to the changes the area has and is experiencing. We would not have had as indepth tour with out his tour! Well worth doing
Well organized, driver was very I knowledgeable and got us back on time. We were escorted everywhere and really enjoyed this private tour.
Very knowledgeable and friendly. Liked that he was Hawai’i native. Picked us up in front of our hotel.
We recently went on a private city tour of Honolulu and Pearl Harbor and it was a great experience. The tour included Diamondhead and Waikiki also. The highlight of the tour was definitely Pearl Harbor. Our guide, Simina, was knowledgeable, and did a great job of sharing history, keeping things fun, and answering questions. She also was an excellent driver who never brought out her phone, so she was always on task!! She was very friendly and her vehicle, a roomy Mercedes, was clean and comfortable! The tour was well-organized and I appreciated that she went out of her way to show us specific sites especially for us. We are both professional musicians and she drove by the symphony hall area of Honolulu which was out of her way but she knew we’d enjoy seeing it. At Pearl Harbor, she directed us perfectly so we could make the most of our time there and helped set the mood for the tour. She also knew that photos were very important to us and she set up many spots for us to take the best photos! And she also took many photos of us together as a couple. Overall, I would definitely recommend this tour to anyone wanting a private city tour and a stop at Pearl Harbor.
Do not use this operator, there are plenty of other reliable operators in the area - try one of them. We were so looking forward to this tour and the day before received an email confirming all the details. We were ready for collection at 9.45am for 10am as required. The company never turned up. After 20 minutes we started to try and contact them. We sent emails, texts and phoned the company. No response to any of our contacts. At 11.15am we gave up and went to explore Waikiki on our own. EIGHT hours later, we received a text message saying they were sorry for not turning up and that they had issued us a refund. No explanation. No recognition of the ruined day. No compensation. Appalling customer service. We only had 3 days in Hawaii. This therefore ruined a third of our holiday there. As I said, do not trust this company they are totally unreliable and appear not to care at all.
Ama was the best tour guide I have ever had. He was extremely knowledgeable, on time and had a wonderful personality with an amazing sense of humor.
Our tour guide Ama was very pleasant, knowledgeable and made us feel like we were already friends. Definitely recommend.
AMA was amazing. He shared so much history that it made our day and trip extremely fulfilling. There’s no way we would have learned so much about the islands and the culture without him. Definitely sharing his contact with all our friends and family for their trips.
Not worth the time or money. An excursion that can be done better on your own with a little planning. The driver guide (Ama) took us to Pearl Harbor National Memorial and provided tickets to the USS Arizona Memorial but we entered and toured the grounds and museums entirely on our own. Afterwards, we spent about an hour and a half driving around Honolulu as the guide provided historical information about Hawaii, and Honolulu in particular, while passing by sites. We only stopped at the palace and along the shore to take photos. This part of the excursion could also have been done on our own and would have allowed us to stop at multiple locations for extended periods of time. Overall, an expensive excursion that was not the best use of our limited time in Honolulu. Plan in advance, save money and explore Honolulu more actively!
Overall the tour was good We got to see much of Honolulu however we were delayed getting off the cruise ship and our tour guide had booked our tickets for the Arizona at Pearl Harbor at a time that caused us to miss that portion of the tour. That was definetly a bummer especially since we paid more for a private tour so we could see everything
It is a very somber experience and serves as a good reminder of the sacrifices made during WWII. Well worth the visit.
Ama, our tour guide, was excellent. He has extensive historical knowledge of Hawaiian history and wonderful presentation skills. It would tell anyone booking this tour to ask for him first. I would recommend this as a first tour when visiting Waikiki. Great overview of the area. I wish I had done this on my first day here.
Excellent tour by ama, a local who shared his in depth knowledge, about the history & culture of Honolulu. Alan made it fun and interesting.
We had a tour guide called ama was a local from the island. He was very informative, helpful and fun. An excellent enjoyable trip.
Ama picked us up on time and was friendly and knowledgeable. Walked us through everything at Pearl Harbor until we felt comfortable. We learned so much about the history of Hawaii and enjoyed his anecdotes during the tour! I'd you book, highly recommend Ama!
This was a fabulous tour! Our guide was Ama and we cold not have asked for a better experience! He was incredibly knowledgable about all things Hawaii, not just Honolulu. His personal anecdotes and enthusiasm made the tour even more special! We were able to see so much without the hassle of having to plan anything ourselves!
For the first time in Hawaii, wanting to see Pearl Harbor, this was the best tour I could have booked. I was there on Dec 7th for the 84th aniversary and the company communicated cleary in advance that there wouldn't be tickets available for the navy boat but the stand by system worked out great. Our tour guide, Simina, was extremely knowledgeble about Hawaiian history and WWII. The city tour was perfect with the palace and king staue and I learned a lot in only 4 hours. Higly recomended for anyone that wants to learn history here on Oahu.
Disappointing. This tour was a let down. I thought it was going to be more of a private tour of Pearl Harbor, it was not. He showed you where to get standby tickets and where museums were. And that was about it. We had a 1.5 hr wait for boat out to the Arizona but we expected that. It was anniversary of Pearl Harbor. The guide got lost on way to Punch bowl. But once there we did spend time. We did not stop at capital bldg nor the palace. They were not knowledgeable about area history, told us to Google it for answer. The van was old, problems with shutting side door...there was nothing special or extra about this trip. Sad that a family of four spent $1k for a mediocre tour...you could do as well with Uber.
Great tour!!! We were very pressed for time due to small window between cruise arriving and flight departing. Melissa picked us up early at the airport and did a great job covering ground in a short period of time. Having everything taken care of for us to visit Pearl Harbor and the USS Arizona while our luggage was safe, was a huge blessing and enabled us to focus on the tour without worrying about missing our flight. Would have loved to have had more time at Pearl Harbor; so if you are pressed for time like we were, communicate your highest priority early — Melissa was very flexible and made use of the compressed time we had.
We were picked up in front of our hotel right on time . Our driver Christine was pleasant and knowledgeable. She got us to our destination, Pearl Harbor on time. She gave us great instructions on how to navigate the sign in process. We then went through the city and stopped at the Palace, She explained a lot about the king and queen. It was a small group and everyone was great. We would definitely recommend this tour, and highly recommend Are driver Christine
The touur to pearl harbor and the uss Arizona was incredible! We learned so much about the most tragic day in our history. The continuing tour to the kings palace and capital building was awesome as well. Our tour guide, Christine, gave us so much information. She was friendly and so nice! I would recommend this tour!
I highly recommend this tour. Ama was our tour guide. He is a native of Oahu and knows the island and what to see. Lots of very good info and a very nice guy.
Very informative, Ama was the best! Just right amount of time at Pearl Harbor.and the city tour was great. We hope to be back!
Ama is the most excellent driver & guide! Contacted us the pm before by text to validate pick up along with when he was on his way here. Having a Hawaiian native guide just enriches the tour experience. He was able to share a detailed history of Hawaii along with fascinating antidotes from throughout his life time. The USS Arizona portion is iffy due to national park service maintenance. Our stand by entry time for the boat ride was going to be the next tour after our original departure time from Pearl Harbor. Being a private tour, Ama adjusted so we stayed later at Pearl Harbor to get the boat ride & stop at the USS Arizona memorial, the pinnacle of this tour. Then we just zoomed through the city tour portion a little quicker. So appreciated the personalized service for a perfect tour!
Gordon was our guide. He picked us up on schedule and showed us some unique views of Honolulu and the iconic Diamondhead. We arrived at the Pearl Harbor National Park just before our scheduled trip to the USS Arizona memorial. After Pearl Harbor, we got to see some of the key sites in Honolulu. Gordon was a great conversationalist.
Ama is a fantastic storyteller and kept us all captivated with the history of Hawaii as we navigated through downtown Honolulu. He also took us to Pearl Harbor and Diamond head. Our kids loved his stories too! Cannot recommend him enough!
Rick was a great tour guide! Super knowledgeable and friendly! He provided a lot of history about the city as well as Pearl Harbor. Highly recommend!
Great private tour. We were lucky to do it on the 4th of July, so there was minimal street traffic. Tour started at Arizona Memorial. Sobering and also a good refresher of US history. City tour was really pleasant due to lack of traffic and a very informative guide. Visited the Punchbowl military cemetery and the palace. Views from diamondhead lookout were stunning. All in all highly recommended!
Our tour guide, Ama, was excellent. We really enjoyed having a true native giving the tour and history.
Ama was very knowledgeable and friendly! He made many funny jokes and showed us Hawai’i from the eyes of a local. He told us we could take our time at each site. It was the perfect amount of time so that we didn’t get an overload. Punchbowl crater was a great surprise site. I would recommend this tour if you want to see many honolulu sites and are only here for a short time. It was all the essentials packed into a few hours! Comfortable private van and a great insight into Hawaiian history!
An amazing tour of Honolulu and Pearl Harbor with Simina! We learned so much and saw much more than we ever would have on our own. It was an amazing kick off to our vacation!
Ama, is a great guide. His knowledge of Hawaiian and Polynesian history and culture is overwhelming and we should have taken notes. 😀 If your interested in learning more about this paradise this is the way. The experience at the Arizona was very informative and humbling. I would definitely recommend this tour.
Too much time allotted for Pearl Harbor grounds. Dropped off at 11 am and the USS AZ Memorial piece was only 45 minutes, including the boat ride to and from memorial and that was scheduled for 1:15 pm
Kila was an excellent driver/ tour guide. She was flexible and took us to around the island , avoiding the spotty rain showers.
My husband and I had a wonderful trip to Pearl Harbor. Our guide and driver, Ama, was the best. Friendly, funny and very knowledgeable of the Hawaiian Islands. We very much recommend this tour.
Really happy with this tour. Extremely good guide. Picked us at the hotel and brought us back. Nothing bad to say. Didn’t stress us about the time, let us do the visits without stress. Would recommend strongly to anyone.
What a wonderful experience we had with Eva. She was so knowledgeable about the history and the culture of the islands, She kept us informed and engaged throughout the tour. She was able to adapt to our "special needs" during several of the stops. Listening to her remarkable story of coming to the islands only enhanced our total experience. It was one of our best experiences on Oahu. Thanks
Our guide, Ama, was absolutely fantastic!! Lots of very cool information about different areas of the city, Oahu and Hawaii. He was so fun and educational. If we could give him more than 5 stars we would.
We learned so much about the history of the island and the culture. Gained appreciation and the knowledge of our tour guide was amazing. Loved every minute.
